Waleska And Efra check this another Filipino Talents •Paulette Combronero •JM Yosures •John Michael Dela Serna •Fritzie Magpoc •Lucas Garcia Well...These are just a few I cannot type them all😅 and there are so much undiscovered artist here yet. Hope you'll notice this and consider it reacting.
The truth is even before karaoke was invented, people in the Philippines had that deep culture of singing or music. It begins on the lullaby everytime the parents put their baby to sleep, singing in the fields every planting season, singing while cooking or singing HARANA to the women of their choice (for men) . We can practically say as Filipinos that we sing in every seaaon of our lives whether we feel good or not, we sing. 🎶 🎶 🎶
Erfa was just so right. Most singers in the Philippines, amatures especially, choose songs that are hard to sing to impress wether they are good or not, and keep on singing the same songs on social gatherings at home or elsewhere until they perfect it. And the second step is joining amature contests here and there inorder to overcome stage fright and third, to further develop stage presence.😊
everytime i listen to waleska, i feel like i am listening to my music professor, i am learning a lot... thank you young lady... God bless you always....
Efra is so on the nose! Emulation first, then practice. Kids practice the good stuff- the way their idols hit high and low notes or belt or growl or sing long phrases, as Waleska says, without thinking they’re practicing-without the pressure or tedium of being forced to practice
Thank you guys for your support to filipino singers..try to do reactions to his faithfully cover ..Roland on AGT stage did amazing audition..more power to you guys and God bless.
Back in 2011 when i went back home to my province in the Philippines, i would hear people singing along the streets (main road, side streets, alleys etc) all day long belting out karaoke songs. It was 5pesos per song from what i was told and it was literally like a concert all day and all night long with different people of all ages singing and almost all of them sounded as good as the professional singers.
Here in Philippines, people loves singing that they don't care if they sound like shit when singing in karaoke. Here in our village if there's a birthday party, karaoke starts at noon till morning or the afternoon the next day.
I told you what you have seen is just a tip of an iceberg, there are a lots of talented Filipinos who are waiting to be discovered some of them are fisherman and farm boy with awesome singing abilities.
This is by far my "likiest" reaction you have done so far...Efra has some interesting perspective. His comment about copying sh*t and later producing sh*t is spot on...
at d start when neighbors singing karaoke,u'll get annoyed by the noise, and singing out of tune but sometime later u find urself singing with it..hahaha🤣its how we r...🇵🇭❤️
Singing in the Philippines is deeply rooted to us...It's part of daily life...Sad/happy we sing...wherever/whatever we do we sing... hearing Mothers grandmothers singing lullabies, old folks singing kundiman n harana songs where men serenading women...even working in the fields planting rice there's should be guitar n people singing..even in funerals....hardships and calamities singing helps us😍🎺🎻🥁🎹🎷🎸📻📯🎵🎶🎙
I remember that video!! Nostalgic.! I really liked him so much back then... So many viral videos at his time and he was one of the best, including the guy that's drinking with his friends... I do not know his name but this video reminded me of him
Karaoke is our first music teacher actually 😅. Because it is very accessible in every corners. It is not common for us to hire voice teacher or taking voice lesson beacuse it's quite expensive. When we see karaoke, we feel so excited and happy. Like in a birthday party or reunion, we don't mind food anymore 😆. We just love to sing our favorite song and we are actually full especially when the people love it 😅
I didn't need videoke to practice. I sang whenever I can, doing house chores, playing with childhood friends, or on my own. Sure it does help. For ordinary people like us it's the performance (when singing Videoke before in the 80's karaoke) The most I appreciate about being a child ang doing what I love no matter where i am is the culture. Everyone loved music the Arts (Arts in general: Performing Arts, any kinds of drawing, instruments) and when the community knows you have the aptitude for it, expect them to make your childhood days stressful. They talk to your parents and the deal is done. next thing you know, you're singing or dancing in front of your neighbors, or in the other barrios or anywhere the wind takes you. That's how crazy it was. You had to learn fast on your own because you don't wanna be embarrassed in front of other people when the craziness happens again. I started remembering fiestas family gatherings etc so I have more time to practice on my own.
Karaoke makers here in the Philippines takes notice of the love of Filipinos of karaoke so they really improve how they make their products so you can also get quality karaoke machine here but you guys are also correct those saturated karaoke still exist 😆😊 and yes regardless of the quality we still have a lot of fun singing to it and we adapt to it.
I agree with Efra 100 percent about practice. It is like with any other skill, you have to imitate first and learn from the best and then after being comfortable make it tour own. Have your own take to it.
Thank you guys for appreciating filipino talents. When it comes to singing, filipinos have a natural talent for singing. It comes natural to them 😁 I love your genuine reactions & explanations. More power to you guys & keep supporting filipino singers 😊❤
Imagine witnessing this at an early age. Karaoke is a part of the party here in the Philippines that you grow up with it - you can't help but feel the pressure to sing as well or your family will wonder if you are adopted or not. ^_^ . Please react to Darren Espanto's " Tama Na" next.
Yeah. I am from a family of singers. Literally, all of my family and relatives have great singing voices. And me?! Well, I do not know whether I am an alien or adopted. 😉🤣
I remember, most kids first stage performance is during family Christmas parties or reunions or fiestas. Kids are required to perform, either sing or dance. It helps them overcome shyness and kids prepare a lot because they don't want to make their parents ashamed or disappointed 😊
Karaoke is common in every Family in the Philippines. These units made Filipinos better in singing in an early age. With these, many Filipinos know how to sing. Once you are good in it ... You will have a good chance to be a Star. And being a star, you will have more money for your family and will really change your status in life. That's why, many Filipinos can sing they make this as a carreer.... Filipinos are the Finest Singers in Far East....
im 100 percent agree for what you said sir" also, ma"m waleska is also right. because if you like to sing the artist you like you have more make practice. {love you both from the philippines.
People around the world keep praising each Filipino singers and talents. Where us Filipino people within the neighborhood keeps complaining the sounds from videoke as if we are hearing NOISE 😆. There is always a singer within each HOME of a Filipino so singing is just a normal thing for us. Filipino have high standard for singers; in able for us to praise one singer MUST POSSESS the ff: 1. Vocal Range 2. Vocal Quality 3. Good looking singers (reality)
Oh my gosh Efra you hit the nail right on the head! (13:03) the way Filipinos practiced singing was to emulate/copy the original. If you are doing a cover, the way to impress the Filipino audience was to sound exactly the same as the original. If you don't sound close to the original, nobody would give you the time of day. Hence the likes of Arnel Pineda who sounded exactly like journey, heart, Chicago etc vocalists. Or Bunot who sounds close to the voice of Michael Bolton. It was only during maybe around a decade ago where Filipinos appreciated the singers that do covers and "make them their own".
He joined Tawag Ng Tanghalan..you can also check his performances.. He is from Cebu Phillipines, a fisherman and a very talented person.. He also had other performances just in his house..
A karaoke in every single house (well mostly) in the Philippines is intended for clean fun in gatherings, regardless if you are a good singer or a not so good one. It is part of our being a happy natured culture. A karaoke machine in the Philippines is one tool we use to nurture our happiness ( or sometimes express sadness) either way it serves its main purpose and not generally intended to hone one’s skill in singing…and that’s why we love it….you should grab one yourself and enjoy…🤗🤗🤗
Wow Im just an hour late and Im already again in the deep bottom in your comment section....you really doing good with your reactions.....guys did you notice Bunot singing drunk in this viral video.....this is just one example of how filipinos enjoy singing while on a drinking spree at home or in karaoke bars....I take note on what Efra said about artists following industry standards as opposed to those who dont.....in my college days me and friends used to often go to bars in manila with live bands.....this is example of filipino talents that didnt follow industry standards and you can also see these in provinces as well and theres a lot to choose from and they sounded like the more popular ones if not better.....and we do go to major concerts but only seldomly....so if you come here one day after covid you will be overwhelmed with choices between talents who perform with industry standard and those who do not. Efra youre again right to say it takes practice practice practice and that made this country a land of great singers.
The best place for us ( filipino) to sing is inside the comfort room, we build self confidence. Then in a routine way we practice everyday in that way. I just remember when i was6-7 years young, my uncle used to teach me or rather want me to sing in kareoke eventhough i don't know to read at that time. In my School days, my friends and classmates want me to sing on stage(a local singing contest or they want me the vocalist in a band) and i dont even know why. for me it's like i was just used to sing in the kareoke. lol
All Filipinos grew up with karaoke .... from 0 age to our adult life .... thats why kids here are a pro before they reach 10 yrs old ... btw karaoke was invented by a Filipino in 1975 (Roberto del Rosario) first called Sing Along System (SAS) ... since then it became part of all Filipino families because we all love to sing ....
My nephew is months old and already singing in Karaoke during family get together and birthday parties singing I Will Always Love You By Celine Din Yon !!!
karaoke singing is just a fun activity for us, it relieves life's hardships, gives break to the stresses of life. the machine has a wide choices of songs, local & international, all genre for everybody. if one messes up the tune, we welcome them, laugh at it, clap our hands for appreciation & proceed to the next entry number in the machine for the next singer. if one did it good, we clap for appreciation too. we are tolerant with both. hence, noone backs down from participating or responding to invitation in our singing spree.
I can only sing this song when I'm drunk that's a fact HAHA. Nice reaction though! This Performance is what called Pinoy Power 😘 Sending love from Philippines.
Roland Abante got a 6 Millions viewers when he sang this To Love Somebody by Michael Bolton went viral in his youngers 8 years ago. Thank you Efra and Waleska for liking and reactions.
I found Efra getting handsome and handsome everytime I watch them. Awww. My heart. When Wales said my God, I'm inlove ( pointing out to Bunot's singing) , Me: my God, I'm inlove with Efra 😍❤
Aside from karaoke, our "studio" is our bathrooms/comfort rooms. Echo is very good there 😅 many of us sing while taking a bath and holding the shampoo bottle as our microphone 😂 I've even recorded some songs in our bathroom 😂
ABANTE'S SINGING SITTING DOWN IS AN ORDINARY AND NORMAL SCENARIO IN EVERY SINGLE FILIPINO HOUSEHOLD WHERE KARAOKE IS JUST A STANDARD FIXTURE. KARAOKE SINGING IS A NATIONAL PASTIME IN THE PHILIPPINES.
I wish you will also make a reaction to another great Filipino rocker, Arnel Pineda, the lead vocalist of the famous American band "Journey". Looking forward to this.

*Weekends, fiestas, special occasions in the Philippines is a karaoke fest. And I love it!*
Paturo sir. 😄
Nope, not like that. He's one in a million. We will give it our all to sing, but we don't necessarily sound like that.
Kwento mo Yan eh hehehe

Thank you very much.
The best place for us ( filipino) to sing is inside the comfort room, we build self confidence. Then in a routine way we practice everyday in that way. Once we build confidence and fun , the family itself boost our self confidence ,and everybody is part of happiness. Our family bind together. And it happened and it duplicate to all neighborhood and to our new generations. Thats why filipinos always wants to sing to give happiness to all, and to all nation.🙏🇵🇭♥️
