In this video, I can tell that the pilots that Big Mathis is dogfighting against aren't skilled in aerial combat. In fact, they mostly don't seem to be fighting at all; they keep giving up and getting themselves killed by conveniently exposing their six. [0:54] Having successfully forced the Viper to overshoot during this rate fight, why does the Phantom pilot fly straight!? Why doesn't he reverse his turn to neutralize the fight into a one-circle? He's just conveniently giving you his six! It's as if he's given up completely. [1:45] In the rate fight, why does the Viper pilot reverse his turn to the left when he's WAAAAY out in front of the Hornet's nose!? He's conveniently leaving his six exposed! You should only reverse your turn when you're absolutely certain that you can force the bandit to overshoot with that turn reversal. [3:40] In this one-circle radius fight, as soon as the Viper and Phantom pass each other, why doesn't the Phantom pilot reverse his turn immediately!? He just goes in a straight line and reverses his turn TOO LATE, conveniently exposing his six to the Viper's nose! He should either reverse his turn IMMEDIATELY as they pass ( if he wants to continue the one-circle fight ), or continue his left turn and ditch out into a two-circle rate fight. No matter what type of plane you're flying, if you don't have the skills, you die.
Tbh it comes from even earlier In older videos some of his plane and helicopter crashes (civilian ones btw) looked like the pilots of those were crashing into surfaces or each other on purpose and didn't even try to make it more natural, which took away the immersion. And this issue applies even here, because those guys just let him shoot them "so that people on TH-cam would receive cool destructions with least effort whatsoever"
@@timur5241 Yeah, many of his Besiege air crash and midair collisions seem really deliberate and unrealistic. More realistic air crash scenes and dogfights would make his content more interesting.
