Look at you stretching that dollar as far as you can... I LOVE THIS PROJECT! Maybe show a clip or two of your players facing off vs this evil Christmas entity
@@brokenterrain Excellent! Yeah, you'll also want the Citadel texture-tool... texture paints tend to gunk up standard brushes somethin' fierce. But you can use Valhallan Blizzard for a variety of effects, from patches of snow to a frozen tundra.
When I was building models for film and video we used laundry detergent for snow effect. You can build it up by layering spray adhesive and then sprinkling with detergent. Workable fixative or matte finish clear spray can also make it more durable.
I make terrain, paint monsters, and paint minis for the other players in my Tues night D&D game. Recently I asked the Dm if he thought he'd find a use for a large and imposing krampus model. He said he could use it, so my next stop was the Dollar Tree. Looking forward to some November evenings working on this!
Rather liked this, I would love to see you attempt your own version of the Miser Brothers from Rankin Bass as those two would be perfect villains for a wintery adventure
Very nice upgrade on that figure! And to be honest, I learned about Krampus just a few years ago... Right after the drop... It's becoming one of my favorite quotes here on TH-cam... Greetings Mr. Broken Terrain, all the way from Lima, Perú!
I learned about Krampus a few years ago as well. A coworker went on vacation a little before Dec. 5 and had a "Merry Krampus" sign on his computer in our open office. First time I saw the goat demon guy.
Great job but I guess we won't be making a krampus video this December.Back to the drawing board. Another stellar video.Happy holidays to you and your family!
@@leftbower1023 Thanks! Well maybe we will give it a shot, just wanna chat with Broken Terrain to make sure he doesn't think we are trying to steal his thunder.Happy holidays !
Search for end cutting pliers. I can't point you to the exact one cause the Mrs. brought it home for me a long time ago and we've no idea where it comes from.
My son is interested in getting some 40k models and we were talking about a 40k Shamrock Boys Chapter. So I would like to do something like that. I have purchased 3 possible 40k Tinley models already.😉
killed it! love Krampus! Your wife might like the book by BROM "Krampus the yule lord" (Brom's other book Lost Gods is one of my fave books. Hope y'all check em' out. Brom was also the artist for dark sun and a few other fantasy books)
You really outdone yourself on this one, the staff with the bells is a great touch.
Bravo!
Thank you!

They're all very camera shy 🤭. Would folks be interested in seeing some game play?
Need a snow-effect? Citadel's got ya covered... it's a texture-paint called "Valhallan Blizzard."
I'll put it on my wish list. 🤞

Could also keep the cheaper themes and use baking soda mixed with glue worked for my snowy tiles
the skinny gnarly look to that toy really suits the crampus, he looks so old and dried out lol very cool build man, the scale is wonderful
Thank you so much
Well done! Am impressive finished product and an imposing foe!

Amazing work as always! I dig how even something as simple as a staff has so much thought and detail put into it.
An amazing comment as always. ☺

Tooth pick is a good tool to draw with paint
Use Bakonh Soda for Snow

Man you killed it again!!!!! Shout out to the wifey!! I wish I could be an elf in your workshop for one day I'd learn a lot. Lol
I wonder if I'd be more of a Santa or or a Krampus 🤔😊
@@brokenterrain lol, a Zombie elf or Santa would be cool if you ever find a figurine at the dollar store. Lol
Zombie Santa 😳
I'm always looking for new things to do with Final Faction figures so cheers for this.

Well, to dollar tree I go. Lmao! This turned out awesome.
So much great crafting stuff there. Have a fun shopping trip!
Looks great! I use toothpicks for detailed painting too.
They work out well for those details.

Puppets
i totally just posted a vid kitbashing that same dollar store toy lol

Does that PVA glue trick on the cheese cloth work on fur fabric?
I would think it works for fur as well. Maybe way more sculpting and positioning of the fur though. Let me know if you try it and how it went.
Where you found angled cutting pliers like the pair you use?
Search for end cutting pliers. I can't point you to the exact one cause the Mrs. brought it home for me a long time ago and we've no idea where it comes from.
@@brokenterrain do you know the name of this tool?
End cutting pliers. This one is close to the one I'm using. amzn.to/3Q1mq1P
