thanks. been quite a while since i saw a new dennis orcollo video. saw him live before and his accuracy in pocketing the balls were unbelievable. his shotmaking ability gets him through even if he gets out of line (which rarely happens).
don't hate the guy for playing well. dennis shoots like a laser and positions with the accuracy of a surgeon. he played the rules allowed and used it to his advantage. that's what people do when they want to win. i guess the best in anything will always be criticized.
Dennis is clearly the best in the world right now. He reminds me of Parica, his game is so deceptively simple, whereas Ronnie Alcano seems to be the heir to the Efren Reyes style.
Appleton, Mika, Alex, Ronnie, etc. play amazing--but Dennis is clearly the best in the world right now. Watching this guy is like watching Parica and Reyes back in the day, he is the heir to great Filipino pool. Unbelievable.
To those who think dennis is racking the balls in the same position, you should notice that jayson is racking it in the same exact position too...I think its a local tourney rule...you will see them racking it exactly the same if you saw the hot seat match...
Making the corner ball when racking with magic rack, 1 on the spot is 100% guarenteed. They really should either rack 9 ball on spot instead or play with kitchen rule. Dennis playes flawless, but this would be more interesting if they made the break harder.
By long match, I mean a race to 80-100 over 2 days. SVB definitely fav there. SVB is a favorite, any race, in 10 ball, no question. the difference obviously his monster break. And SVB IS fav in one pocket. A
Only one person in the world can beat Dennis Orcullo. And his name is shane van boening. Now neither of these 2 really want to play one another. There's much easier gambling match-ups. BUT If they ever played for some serious coin, it would be a long match....and SVB Is a favorite there.
when Billy said its kinda unfair, I totally agree with this. it is unfair what happened in this match, it kinda show you the flaws of the game, some people love that somebody putting a package together, and I understand, but jayson had nothing to say to help his case, so how can this be a sport to decide who is better? and dennis break is kinda like cheating in this match, which wasnt really how the game designed.
Nice play by Orcullo, but tournament 9 ball without breaking/racking restrictions should be a thing of the past. Orcullo out-broke Shaw, he didn't out-maneuver him.
They dont allow that there idiot do u think jason shaw doesnt know that try to watch tha game again theres a rack were jason ask dennis to put the 2 and 3 ball at the back and now your saying that he's pattern racking stupidity
They should use a third party or referee to rack the balls. It's not fair for the opponent as they don't have a chance to come to the table because the racking player plays the same ball pattern every time. This is not saying the player like Orcollo or SVB are cheating, it's just that the fairness in the game is questionable.
T@ 21:28. After Dennis pushes out. Jayson plays a picture perfect safe. Exactly what I visualized. Dennis kicks. Leaves Jayson an Eerily similar shot as he did w the push out. And Jason waste no time in executing yet another picture perfect safe exactly how I visualized..however, this time the one was a little closer to the rail. As always the commentators blah away god knows wt hell they're talkin about. They said its tougher.. No. It's not tougher. Is it tougher to kick safe? Maybe a little tougher. Is it tougher to hit? No. Theres nothing "tougher" about the kick. Maybe the saftey but who knows with Dennis. My point is I'd try to make this ball.. If you're a One Pocket player. Which I'm really not. Or know anything about it. Which I do. That 1ball close to the rail like that is a makable shot. It's a 2 rail kick in the corner. Ofcourse I gotta be at the table to know for certain but it looks to me like a makable shot. I make these shot an awful lot. Thats me.. I play pretty good. I'm no Dennis Orcollo folks. If you shoot to make you'll get better separation too. Ofcourse shape on 2 would mean holding it.
if soft breaking is allowed it's not cheating. pool is a game of control. smashing the rack and hoping is for players that can't figure things out and probably lose alot.
That doesn't account for setting the balls up in the exact same order each time, though. He knows where most of the balls are going to land after the break, which happens to be in a favourable position to run them. At this level, most guys don't get a shot because of bad luck on the break, but if you can pretty much guarantee that you're gonna have a nice rack to run in a winner breaks format, you have every chance of your opponent never getting to the table.
At 9 ball, I wouldn't make a bet, you may be right...but at 10 ball/rotation/1 pocket, the Taiwanese have a long way to go. I would put large money on Orcollo against Yang/Wu/whoever at 10 ball, and in 1 pocket or rotation it would be a joke.
Oh! I just saw the hot seat Mach and I had to stop n follow my comment, LOOK AT JASON PRACTICING!!.. I have to say that he has a better eye then Dennis but he is just 24 yrs old. ( if he Keeps Appleton has his best friend in 4 yrs I can't imagine what's the outcome ) ... If you are legit pool player you know what I'm talking about n if you are not just save your comment n go watch TOM & JERRY . ( can't go wrong with that classic )
Here where you are wrong sir, you could literally play the best, and still loses, and that only happen in pool. and thats exactly why you will see a different winner in each tournament, different name, we don't have domination in pool, each tournament and a new player will wins. Not like tennis where you will see someone dominate, and you can see the same players going to the finals everytime. which shows you that they are the best in tennis, they dominate it, in pool its all about the rolls.
Any pro player can do what he just did! !!!!!!7!!!!!! Of his racks were the same old Pattern because the magic rack and the order he put the balls, I'm not saying he is not good BUT* that's not fair .. Take the magic rack out and that kid is going to give a run for his money ( my money stil with Dennis ) ps .. Think about it, any A player with his break can run 4 out of his 7 and he is a AAA player
I probably play pool better than you, but then again that has nothing to do with what I said. imagine this, a running race between two champions, but only. One is running, and the other is just sitting in his chair watching the other guy run. the guy in the chair loses cause he didn't get a chance to run. how can this be a sport? he couldn't compete, as long as both players didn't have the same exact opportunity for a chance to win, then it can't be fair
I had to give this play a thumbs down, magic rack used along with pattern racking and soft break is the same thing to pool as walking up the ramp and tossing the balls in the holes in skeeball, there is no actual play to it for the pro players. There is a reason at least one if not all are not allowed in many tournaments.
Dennis is a cheater with the pattern soft breaking. A lot of places don't allow it or don't care cuz pool isn't big enough of an event. Instead of relying on safety or skilled pushouts he decides to cheat on the break. No respect for Dennis
Joey Gonza Ive seen shane not even look at a rack after its done...wanna see a real rack mechanic nut job go watch mike dechaine. I have yet to see shane pattern the balls and softbreak to get this type of result...its cheating in my opinion and in the eyes of many others. Break the balls with some authority and as i said rely on your pushout/safety skills to win games. The level these guys play at pattern racking and soft breaking should be penalized by death lol
Joey Gonza they are all pussies and cheaters....Corey and Dennis are chump cheaters. SVB does it only because its for some reason allowed and in order to beat a cheater you have to cheat yourself...cory isnt on the same level as earl strickland and never will be..."one time" means nothing...i played corey duel for 200 bucks in a race to 9 at steinway and lost 9-4...i lost to earl 9-1. Earl is night and day better than cory...even cory will tell you that
This guy has a great shot but soft breaks while also racking the balls in order to his benefit and NOT alternating breaks? What a cheap way to play...alternating breaks to find a real champion..this guys playin chump style pool. Like the commentator said its not fair for any player that skill level to be able to do that...very weak i lost a lot of respect for whoever this character is
Pattern racking and soft break by the cheater wins him this match. He does it all the time. There's nothing this pool player won't do for money, including cheating.
thanks. been quite a while since i saw a new dennis orcollo video. saw him live before and his accuracy in pocketing the balls were unbelievable. his shotmaking ability gets him through even if he gets out of line (which rarely happens).
I sure think it is a pleasure to watch Dennis play. I believe he is the best of the best right now. Thank You.
don't hate the guy for playing well. dennis shoots like a laser and positions with the accuracy of a surgeon. he played the rules allowed and used it to his advantage. that's what people do when they want to win. i guess the best in anything will always be criticized.
THANK YOU POVPOOL FOR UPLOADING THIS!!!
Dennis been winning for the past 9 years hall of fame career in 8-ball 9-ball and 10-ball. on the pro tour
finally! been waiting for this upload. Can we change the title of this video to "pattern breaking 101"?
Subscribed. Thanks for the coverage and uploads.
Dennis was playing excellent. I've seen Shaw get on runs like these too. Great match. I wish you guys would of put up a visible score.
These Standard Def uploads are temporary. The hi/def versions will go up soon.
Dennis is clearly the best in the world right now. He reminds me of Parica, his game is so deceptively simple, whereas Ronnie Alcano seems to be the heir to the Efren Reyes style.
Great too hear Billy's voice again
jayson's problems;
1. winners break format
2. he's playing somebody who's figured out the break
3. he's playing somebody who doesn't miss
Appleton, Mika, Alex, Ronnie, etc. play amazing--but Dennis is clearly the best in the world right now. Watching this guy is like watching Parica and Reyes back in the day, he is the heir to great Filipino pool. Unbelievable.
What kind of patato was this filmed with?
To those who think dennis is racking the balls in the same position, you should notice that jayson is racking it in the same exact position too...I think its a local tourney rule...you will see them racking it exactly the same if you saw the hot seat match...
lol i like how when shaw came back to the table to break, he did dennis;s same pattern and break
Dennis is BEST in the world!
The shot at 10:30 is awesome!
I agree.. Dennis seems to be playing almost the same pattern every rack
"...tournament 9-ball should be a thing of the past." Period. Fixed that for you.
i love 9 Ball
Dennis orcollo beast mode!
PRE MAGKANO PUSTAHAN?
Making the corner ball when racking with magic rack, 1 on the spot is 100% guarenteed. They really should either rack 9 ball on spot instead or play with kitchen rule. Dennis playes flawless, but this would be more interesting if they made the break harder.

go watch on SVB channel, not on orcollo.
dennis orcollo and darren appleton are the two best players in the world as of oct 2013 imo
10:30 was a great shot
Great upload, I just wished the quality of video is little better, What happened to the HD Cameras povpool had?
Both commentators are greart...I laugh a lot of their jokes...keep it up...
Look for " melhores tacadas de Noel Rodrigues " he is brasilian

I see why the break rules were changed.
Nice play by Orcullo, but tournament 9 ball without breaking/racking restrictions should be a thing of the past. Orcullo out-broke Shaw, he didn't out-maneuver him.
Pattern racking really Dennis damn lol n got away with it
Lol its not about how he rack the balls its about the speed he hit to make that ball go to the poket pattern racking is not a thing idiot
@@vampirelestat6658 pattern racking is a thing moron. Ever read joe tuckers racking secrets? Go back in your mommies basement let the grown ups talk.
They dont allow that there idiot do u think jason shaw doesnt know that try to watch tha game again theres a rack were jason ask dennis to put the 2 and 3 ball at the back and now your saying that he's pattern racking stupidity

Efrén bata Bustamante el rey
lmao owned
haha...wow! what an exhibition by orcollo! totally destroyed shaw...
2:09- a wahle :D
shane did play orcollo and orcollo won
Jason played great but had to beat Dennis. Why would he send money home via WU rather than gamble with it in Reno with his skills. Bad move.
whatever, the winner still dennis orcollo :D

Gah, that one commentator talks SOOOO much! It's very hard to listen too!

they playing with the magic rack so the ball break perfect and he hit it hard enough.
