Very similar to the intermatic astro timers we use on buildings at work for parking lot lights, etc. Very well explained and demonstrated Jen. This will be handy for lots of folks 👍 .. we've always referred to those as "Twist-lock" plugs. Like you said, could be a brand name though 🤷🏻♂️ If you told me twist prong, I'd know exactly what you were referring to 👍😎
One big disadvantage of a bottom drain in above ground pools is if you have a major filter leak you can loose all your water. They are very uncommon in modern pools. The pool my dad had for us when we were kids had a bottom drain. When we were in college a major filter leak pumped out all the water, and that was the end of the pool.

That would suck! Mine just drained to the level where the water returns, but that’s still below the skimmer. 🥲
