      Drice Walker is a Brazilian-born wacky character. This character was created to deliver messages online in the name of our sponsors: The Ultimate Pro and The Ultimate Handyman, but the accent is an original trait of the actor and owner of the companies aforementioned.

    I am wanting to switch my timer over to 240 as well I change the switch on the back but my model ET8015C only has four terminal connections any suggestions

    • @garrettgeorge4347
      @garrettgeorge4347 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      the ET 8000 series has a switch of voltage and a different diagram for each position. Look up on the intermatic website the manual for your specific model and install accordingly. 240 installations usually need two hots to provide 240 to any system, make sure you have it, and follow manufacturers instructions.

    I’m having an issue with a timer I just purchased, no matter what schedule is set to the load connected to terminal 4 stays on if the jumper is connected between 2 and 3. Is there a setting that would cause that switched connection to stay closed?

    • @XPlanNation
      @XPlanNation  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Drice walker told us that there are many models of timers. If you give us the model number he can answer this question for you.

      I’m trying to connect intermatic et2825c model. Is it going to be the same? Does it matter if it’s using a Hot Line vs Neutral Line into the switch??

    I have owned many of the Intermatic water heater timers(Tan WH-1 & Little Grey Box). I'm going to toss my WH-1 and get a digital. Tired of the syncho motor growling as it runs - real loud and is also telling me that it will soon not turn at all. Not sure why Intermatic does NOT supply the "jumper" wire or just build that in? Why wouldn't that be used?

    • @XPlanNation
      @XPlanNation  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I consulted with Drice Walker and he advised that the new intermatic 101 are fairly quiet, but the electronic is 100% quiet, you will only hear the relay turning the power on or off. Good luck on your change.

    My timer shows nothing on the screen. I assume battery is dead. Do I need to switch off power from main before opening battery compartment and which and how many batteries do I need?

    • @XPlanNation
      @XPlanNation  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Open the battery compartment, this video shows how, and replace a single double A battery. You have a few seconds not to loose your prior pre-recorded settings... but if the battery has been dead for a long time, your memory has also been wiped out, you need to re-program. I hope this helps.

    So that's a 110 set up how do you wire it for 240

      I knew someone would want to know it, but no one likes long videos! Perhaps we can make a video soon!
      But to solve your problem quickly, basically the switch to 240 is simple:
      Behind this unit, there is a jumper to switch voltages in between, 120, 208, 240 and 277... depending where you place the jumper. The board is marked on the back of the board (the actual timer guts). Then, after you changed your jumper to 240 you need to wire it to 240, with two lines, in 3 simple steps:
      First) Connect one line to the terminal 1 and another for terminal 2.
      Second) Then you use a jumper to connect terminal 1 and 5, and another jumper to connect 2 and 3.
      Third) Then you connect terminals 4 and 6 to your load... That simple!
