You and me both Brian. I have kept it moist and have been running my ute over it and I’m told that this will compact it really well over time. I will do an update video in a couple of months or so.
Finished scheme looks really good. Appreciate it cost a few quid but, in my humble opinion you….saved the integrity of the road whilst using the flow to hydrate the paddock and prevented a problem becoming a major issue. P.s. the contractors seem to know their stuff. Enjoyable watch.
Thanks Rob. I consider managing the land including roads the right thing to do as a landholder. Yes, a bit of expense but worth it. I’ve used the contractors before, they are top notch. All the best and thanks for watching.
Well planned and equally well executed. It looks that you got the good stuff this time. I loved the drone footage. It must be fun for you to be able to see your own land from a birds eye perspective. Lots of things to discover. Big 👍for all the hard and good work.
Thanks. It took months to do as it just kept raining and the trucks couldn’t get in for fear of sinking. Yes, the drone does make owning land very special as you can get a completely different perspective on things. The machinery operator knows their stuff and made it look easy.
Glad I found your channel! My property is much like yours but not as big. I too had some erosion on a fresh cut ditch beside my road because I didn't get any seed down before we had around 15" of rain. I installed some crushed concrete in several places to slow the heavy flow of water and haven't had any more washout. I'm also going to add some culverts to get the water to the other side of my road as that is where it wants to naturally go. Your other video of the leaky weirs is something else I'll be doing on a stream bed that feeds into my pond . Trying to keep out the silt and invasive fish from ponds upstream. Great channel and great ideas !
Thanks very much Alex. I had forgotten the Zuni bowl. I’m going to make that bigger as I find more suitable rocks. The cattle used to get a very uncomfortable ride going up and down that hill but not any more. We even had some light rain overnight which will help pack it down over time.
@@queenslandfarmerA little rain is good. The sown grass will grow and the water will not wash away the work done. In summer the result will be visible.
Looking good. I am waiting to see how it all works after you've had a bit of rain. Thanks for the upload.

Great work, and thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching and for your comment Lance.

Your comments are appreciated.
All the best with your on farm projects.
Everything is wonderful, as always. They even made a zuni bowl. Looking forward to the test drive )))

that track is better than some main roads that I have driven along
Thanks. I’m very happy with it. Will do a follow up once we have had some storms to see how it handles it.
happy 1k from your thousandth sub, love the work and all the results from the leaky weirs
Much appreciated Jay!
Very happy to see I finally made that milestone. Thanks for being part of it. 👍
