Excellent work, need to make the videos longer since we can’t wait for the next episode to see the project progression. I really enjoy watching how you think your way through the issues and come up with the best solution, thank you for sharing.
Thanks Jonathan again it is nice to see a new video of you kicking butt on one more very fine Aircraft .Jonathan would it be asking to much to put a nice LED light inside that Hatch? I am sure Sky Candy has one for you.👍🏻
Hi Jonathan, very nice video again! You‘re a true inspiration building those aircraft! One thing must say is the switching between the metric and the imperial system. Please go down one road (preferrably the metric one) as it is the most common . Sorry for my friends in the US 😅 I was in Canada a lot and I was always admiring that Canadians don‘t follow the imperial road.. 😃 keep up the good work, it‘s a pleasure to watch your videos!
Nice job on access hatch nice and simple and Functional and everything looks good in Black and the Red trays turned sweet as well. Funny with Jets ya get used to everything up front Turbo Prop not so much. It,s a big bit of kit. Yeah Skymaster ya pay enough for the kit one would not expect leaking. Better pick up ya game Skymaster there are same kits out there and just because of that leaking people may go buy the other one.......Good vid Jon I think ya covered quite a bit. Be well Fly lots carry on. ;0)
Build is going nicely! You should be able to push those wings onto to fuse with the gear up just fine. At least that wasn't a problem on mine. Wonder what you'll think about the flaps at just 38mm when maidening it. For me the residual thrust was almost to high for the drag at 38. Just wouldn't slow down quick enough for my liking. So I increased my throw substantially.
Thanks! I had no idea that would be the case. Regarding the flaps. in order to get more movement the servo arm will have to be increased in length. The current geometry is all a straight line at full deflection. We will fly and see.
Another great video. Myself, I tend to immerse my tanks after pressurizing them for a quick confirmation. But having wood pieces glued on them would not be ideal unless you sealed them with epoxy. You should have a discount code for referrals to Sky Candy!
Thomas can you elaborate on what things haven’t been thought through,I’m considering one of these in the new year , Jonathan has done an outstanding build on this aircraft
@@robvonk8634 1. Tank connections are not tight and should be bent because there is little space on the smoke tank. 2. Undercarriage cover is a big hole when changing. 3. Rudder horns could already be installed or at least the holes could be set. These are all jobs that take way too long if such a model falls down because of a defective tank connection.... well then look for the error afterwards and prove it The PC 21 is available from enough manufacturers
@@thomasschmidt9281 Agree SKYMASTER needs to add Kevlar/ Carbon fiber to there Jets without price going up . I think ou can order without fuel Tanks has a Option, Jonathan still a great Building.
Just to elaborate on a couple points. 1. Agreed. Skymaster should be including a metal bung fitting that gets glued in the tank. I don't typically run across issues with the skymaster hardware as I don't use it. I typically install aftermarket high flow stuff. 2. The new holes for the gear are like that purely because we decided to change to electron. If you use the specified air gear the holes would be much smaller. 3. Agreed. It would be nice to see these pre done. although Im a fan of doing them myself as then I know they are done right and if it increases the cost of the kit to have these predone that's a negative in my opinion. Great points Thomas!
Thanks for watching the video! All of the 3D printed parts are available on the website. Check it out! www.thelightersideofrc.com/shop
You must be delighted that Canada is gonna use this aircraft ^^
🙌😎

HAHA. Thanks. I appreciate the kind words. I try to keep it about 30 min but sometimes it sneeks over to the 40 min range.
Awesome Johnathan like the way you designed the access hatch ,👍 I hope sky master takes note on those issues you encountered.🇦🇺
Thanks Rob. Much easier that taking cockpit/canopy in and out every time.
Looking good!!
Thank you! Cheers!

Thanks Gregory. I appreciate it. That would be a slick little touch for sure.
Nice!!!!!!!!!
Thanks Ramon!

HAHA. Thanks Ruben. I still use and understand both for certain things. Thanks for watching.

John at MAP sells tank rings to Hysol into the tank 👍
Oh DANG! Totally forgot about that. Thanks Dave! Appreciate it.
Is there a video/segment on your switch to Jeti and why you chose to go that way? I love my Jeti and was curious to know why you switched!
Hello Adam. No video on that......YET Not sure If I will but it's a possibility.
Good job as always. Enjoy your attention to details. Thought the hatch was hinged on the bottom?
Thanks Ron. Decided against hinging on the bottom as it may interfere with the Jetcat GSU Plugin.

Yeah. Had to change servo horns and linkages too.
You're the best. Love your videos. Any update on your future shop?
HAHA. Thanks Hank! Future shop is a while out yet! Sadly but it will come in due time.

I used to immerse them as well but stops doing that just to save the steps of filling the sink with water. 😂. and yes your right about the wood.
What’s a smoke tank and what is its purpose. Love the video bty
the smoke tank hold smoke fluid. It would get injected into the exhaust to male smoke trails. Thanks for watching
@@thelightersideofrc ohhh right I am not shure why I dident think of that
@@thelightersideofrc but thanks that make sense. I decent know the tank would be that big tho
All good 👍
I wouldn't buy the plane. Some things haven't been thought through to the end. Would be too good for my money. Respect for the work you put into it

Skymaster Tank Fittings are a SHAME. Plane is expensive enough
👍
Where does the exhaust go for the turboprop
so beautiful
Exhaust cutout and install will be covered in the next and final video.
