We have just bought a boat with one of these systems , brilliant by the way!, but now it needs a service and we are in the uk and finding it difficult to find a service engineer for this type of system

Hi Nicola, contact ITR here in Canada. Perhaps they know of a service rep in your area.

Just wondering if you can tell me if a 2003 hurricane 2 heater would have come with on demand hot water and also did it come with a 120 volt electric heater built in like the new ones do ?
Thanks and I'll be watching for your videos

    What model Hurricane is this?

The Zephyr and at least another model from Hurricane does on demand hot water.

Hi Jeff. Is this the best solution for a “tankless water heater” for a boat? Less looking for a non-reverse cycle heating system now, but more flexibility in hot water supply. Thanks!

Hi David, for marine on demand hot water, only aware of Hurricane.

Hi Jeff, Could it be join to engine without heat exchaner? Is it possible to have the same coolant as in onboard engine?
Best regards and thank you for your videos.

Heat exchanger on marine diesel engines are essential. Traditional how water tanks are commonly installed and plumbed in the aux coolant loop of an engine.
Yes you can use the similar coolant.

Is this a cost effective way to get hot water for showering? i have a Hunter 38 with diesel heat for the cabin, but im looking for a quiet way to get hot water for the morning shower other than running the portable generator or running the motor at 1500rpm for an hour and a half.

Hmmm, besides a on-demand hot water heater like the ITR heaters i'm not sure how you do this quietly. Some boaters will large battery banks and big 3KW inverter might run the water heater to the inverter output.
