Being a woodworker it was painful watching you working your way across the grain , the image will haunt me for days , Lol !! Hey Marissa....you really are much better than wallpaper!
Yes! Wood tones make me cozy too. I love that you used a sleeve to wipe up the excess wd-40 - painter hack! 🤣 That wallpaper tried to fight you but it turned out so nice. And your hard work on the gold paid off, gorgeous! I bet your client is thrilled 😍
Hahaha painter hack! I love that! I have a whole section of my closet dedicated to work stuff. Slowly though, I find more and more of my clothes turn in to work clothes lol 😬 thank you so much! She is very happy with it 🥰
My father made a media center about this size back in the 1960's. It had a record player, a shelf for 33 1/2 inch discs, a reel to reel tape recorder, speakers and a bunch of shelves for books and magazines. He built it in the garage.
You did an awesome job on this incredible piece! It turned out so beautiful. Your client will be thrilled with it and so thankful to have chosen you to do it.
Watch The Reclaimed Heirloom. She has a great trick for applying tissue paper and other papers. This is definitely a large piece. And it’s so amazing how u transformed it…someone will love it.
I have been on my flipping journey for about a year and a half. I watch a ton of you tube flippers, and I have just recently discovered you!!!!! I absolutely love your work, and I am learning so much!!! Thank you!!!❤️
Aww yay!! I’m so glad! TH-cam is such a helpful resource! I also have a whole playlist called Industry Tips if you’d like to check it out. It’s chalk full of info on how to sell, ship, and promote your business!
So many great things about your piece and your video ... don't know where to start BUT I just got to say ... I will take wallpapering over taping for stripes ANY DAY of the week! Your stripes turned out amazing: you have a lot of patience. I want to watch your Melange One paint review. we just did an all-in-one paint review comparing it with DB Silk and Fusion and got some interesting results. Anyways, beautiful job. - Sherry
I know! I watched it :)) that’s so funny. I have so much more fun with tape than I do wallpaper. I hate it so much lol I’m hoping I’ll learn to love it
You're a brave woman taking on the "wall sticker" wallpaper :) How about trying the oldfashioned wallpaper where you put wallpaper glue on the wallpaper and thus have much more control? ;)
Ooooh! Great idea! Not gonna lie, this was my first time using wallpaper in general so I didn’t even really think about there being other methods 😅 great suggestion though!
How to add shelf liner alone: Remove one inch of the paper backing along the edge of the shelf liner. Cut away the excess paper backing ONLY so that you have once inch of the exposed sticky paper. Take your time to line it up where you want it then apply to project. Then, slowly peel back the paper inch by inch, using a credit card to push out any air bubbles as you go. Since you have lined it up at the beginning, you don't have to worry about it being crooked and you wont risk a big chunk of it this way. 🤗
"...coz it takes me ugh ugh hours" I heard you start singing it and waited in anticipation to see if you'd slip up haha This piece turned out amaaaaazing!! Your work is always incredible though. Well done!
You are a taping master! This is a gorgeous result. It’s time consuming to tape but your results are stunning! The “wallpaper” that’s peel and press is basically just Contac paper. It’s very hard to work with. The trick I have found is to cut the piece to the size you need before you install it. You did a beautiful job transforming that big hi/fi console into a statement piece.🌸
I re- did my night table and bookcase using paint and contact paper. Like you l didn't care that much about using contact paper on anything. But l watched a youtube video that the person used a card (like a credit card). So l used just any old plastic card l had. I tell you it really helped alot not only getting the bubbles out but in smoothing the paper down. Later l found scrap booking tool that worked even better than the card.
I really appreciate that you show mistakes and all! Congratulations on tackling the wallpaper...I love the look but have yet to build the patience to work without a tantrum and loads of crumpled paper🥴
Oh believe me the tantrums and crumpled paper were there! Haha it’s much easier with a partner though. Highly recommend! Thank you though! I think it’s the best way to do it. Helps both of us learn :)
Yeah, I thought about doing that and I forget why I didn’t lol And yes, I would have removed it too but the client wanted to keep them in. And what client wants, client gets lol
That wood grain is gorgeous!
I know right??? 😍😍😍
You are a tape ninja! It's beautiful, nice blend of color, wood grain, pattern and Bling❣
Haha thank you!! 🥰
A M A Z I N G, Marissa!!! That piece came out stunning!
Thank you so much!!!
You are so creative! I love your taping/patterns that you do.
Thank you so much hon! 🥰
Wow the beast came out awesome! Love the color combination and the line design!
Thank you so much!

Hahahaha same now when I look back at it. And thank you. I appreciate that lol

Expensicle is my new favourite word…I don’t even know how to spell it 😂 love it. Beautiful makeover…mammoth job!!! Well done
Hahaha yes!! Start a trend 😂 thank you so much!!
The gold detail was crazy! Looks great. I think the piece didn’t need the contact paper - 🤷🏼♀️
The color was gorgeous with the dark wood 🙏
Thank you so much!
As always, your taping is amazing! Your patience knows no bounds.
Hahaha patience isn’t a factor when you enjoy what you’re doing 🥰 lucky for me I love tape and detail painting
I love this color stain as well. General Finishes "Candlelight" is pretty too. This piece looks amazing 👏
Thank you so much! I’ll definitely have to check it out

Hahaha yay!! Aww that makes me so happy!!
To save your finger tips and nails, wrap your sandpaper over an old gift card or even a card scraper to sand those tight edges 😀
Haha thank you so much!!
This turned out so beautifully!
Thank you!!
This is amazing! I always love the gold detailing you add to the pieces
Definitely did! Thank you again!! So nice of you!
So beautiful my parents had piece like that as 4 year old. That's great
Oh no way! That’s awesome! And thank you :))

That is a great trick! I’ve used it before on different wallpaper, however, this one was textured and definitely would have torn if I tried :/

Beautiful job. Well done. It looks awesome. I must be missing something as a lot of you are referring to Jay. I thought his name was Karol.
It is but he goes by Jay :) thank you so much!

Wow that is really great!!
Thank you so much!!
Gorgeous 🤎💙
Thank you!
I think you have amazing talent!
Thank you so much!
Maybe paint the cane first before stapling in place. I would have removed the ugly decorative pieces on door and just used cane.
Yeah, I thought about doing that and I forget why I didn’t lol And yes, I would have removed it too but the client wanted to keep them in. And what client wants, client gets lol
Cane and wallpaper?
Yup! 😁
I really struggle with wallpaper on my most popular video 😂
Ahahaha I think because it’s relatable
What part of Georgia?
We’re about thirty minutes south of atlanta
Lol I am an hour north of The Big ATL.
Awesome.
🥰
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
😁😁😁
just a big big boi
Honestly
Wall paper hates me. I can’t do it either
Hahaha how do people do it by themselves???? I don’t understand!
Your customers got a bargain.
Thank you! 🥰
Aceves mejor no meterse. Con ese mueble se podría hacer maravillas. Pero hizo de un mueble viejo, un mueble viejo y feo. Mala muy mala restauración.
Debe ser por eso que mi cliente pagó un buen dinero por ello lololol
