I loved this dialogue. So helpful to watch a pair as Mother and daughter to communicate in their native way. That was very beautiful. Thank You for Posting.
Olga, so I hear there is a Russian tradition when the chimes strike midnight on New Years Day, Russian people write a wish on a paper with a pencil, set the paper on fire and throw the ashes into the champagne...then drink this. What is the name of this tradition. Is this tradition still practice. Could you write this word in Russian? Thank you.
It's not a Russian tradition) it's like an entertainment and it has no name. I did it when I was a child and believed it will help to make my dream real. But I threw the ashes into the limonade instead of champagne. It's a New custom invented by children. Yes, we usually make a wish in New Year midnight but it's a secret to others. Usually russian people especially girls make a wish in the evening on the 6th of January. On the eve of Christmas on the 7th of January. Making a Christmas wish is a Russian tradition.
Spell it, please"
@@russianwitholga I’m going to start attending a Russian Orthodox Church starting Easter (pascha?) and it’s a church that still chants in Church Slavonic. One of the priests is Russian and reminds me of my baba who never spoke a word of English. So I’m trying to brush up on the Russian at least so I can communicate with him. I know some liturgical Russian but conversational and Cyrillic is a stumbling block for me. Most of the Russian, Greek and Ukrainian orthodox churches here in upstate New York chant in English. I refuse to go to them. They should call themselves English orthodox and those chants sound awful in English. I’m a traditional Catholic (and Ukrainian Catholic) and I sang Latin Gregorian chant for five years and it is beautiful when pronounced properly. And our choir director had been a seminarian and was a high school Latin teacher so he was a stickler for correct Latin pronunciation. The Vatican ll churches don’t even chant. They are like an Anglican Church. Only we trads were the holdouts. But I’ve had it with Catholicism. So I’m heading to worship with the Russians.

Hello. You can contact me russianwitholga@yandex.ru

@ManojmaharUttarakhandi I live in Moscow but currently I'm in the south of the Urals
Can you tell how many days it takes to get a Russian visa?
@@ManojmaharUttarakhandi where are you from?
Your pronounciation is too fast ,make it slow so we can repeat ,👍🙏🇮🇳
OK. You can try to watch another part of dialogues, probably it'll be a little bit slow. Thank you for the comment ❤️

I can understand some words being half Ukrainian but I’m pathetically ignorant.
I understand that feeling😃
