I like that your tongue box is not black like mine. I am certain it subjects the battery to more heat. Maybe when I am out in the winter it is a good thing.
It might. I’m not sure. I have an emergency complete shut off for the battery because I was worried about heat as well. Especially when I tow back home into the 100s but so far my battery seems to have stayed pretty cool. I honestly just wanted it to blend with the roof of the drop. I didn’t really think about that too much (the one thing 🤣) during the build.
Awesome update tour. Definitely have been inspiring us. What size awning/room do you have? And if you were doing it again, would you do a different size?
Thanks so much! I have the 6.5 foot and no because it’s already almost as long as the drop 🤣🤣 this is the perfect size for me but remember my drop is tiny at 4x9 so if I had a 5x10 I’d probably do the bigger one but no regrets for this set up!
How did you decide on your trailer?? There are SO many of them out there, and I’m considering buying one. I don’t want wood though. I’m looking at about four different ones. Loved all your videos, and with your beautiful dog too!!!
Needing to tow with my Crosstrek really limited my choices being honest. Add in budget and there were only a few that fit. Then I got to meet Todd and Carol of TC and they just calmed all my nerves and all my worries and were just the best people so I went with my gut. For me I wanted under a certain weight and price. Then I wanted cute. I like creating vibes and cozy spaces and this fit that bill for me. I also cared more about the galley than anything because I love to cook and wanted a lot of storage and a really practical space. So it kinda just depends on how you’ll use it. That’s my advice. Picture living in it. How you’ll feel. Where you’ll store things. How you’ll function. Those things matter. Then go with your gut!
@@MicheleShanklinthank you for the replies!!! My story is a little different than yours, but kind of the same too. Lol. So last year I was diagnosed with terminal cancer. I was very worried, because it was just me and my 12 year old Black German Shepherd. I wanted to just pack up, and me and “Ranger” would go explore the beautiful USA!!! We had long discussions about it, because I was worried about what happens if something happens to me, and what would happen with Ranger. Unfortunately a month after our discussion, he sadly passed away suddenly. So now it’s just me, and I still want to do what I wanted to share with him. It has been very difficult, but I would still like to do what we were planning, and I would definitely bring his urn with!!!! Sorry for writing a novel. Thanks again.
For the price I like it. Get the extra base though or it’s way too low to the ground 🤣 I mean It’s simple but it works for me. I don’t think I’d want to share it with someone 🤣 I like that it doesn’t look like a toilet so I can be kinda sneaky and keep it in my main awning room and no one knows it’s also my bathroom.
I have a 5 by 9.5 and love it, have gone across country 3 times and still going strong!
That is awesome! They are amazing!!
Love your videos Michelle. Stay safe
Thank you so much!

How do you like that camp toilet ? I've been looking for one to use for camp but there are so many to choose from.
