I love those old mining towns, so many structures to explore. Phoenix had a great day! Your annex room is great, best way to maximize the utility of a teardrop. Great video, cheers!
I always think about how many more there are that I haven't found or can't see. Makes me want to keep coming back! Yes I am so thankful for the annex room. I couldn't do this trip without it.
Thank you, Michelle and Feens, for taking us along on your day of adventure! Loved the scenery and that Colorado sky. I’m happy Feens didn’t hurt himself jumping up the porch! Made my heart leap! I really need to go to SW Colorado. 🩷
Thank you for coming along! Yeah he made my heart leap too. I was holding onto him so strong trying to keep him from falling. I was like dude what made you think that was a smart idea?? SW Colorado is my fav!!
So fun Michele! I'm a rule follower too! I feel like the one time I don't I'll get caught, LOL! Funny when you mentioned giving Penz a wipe down bath, at the same time I was wondering how/when you bath him. I'm still dealing with the passing of my 17 yr old dog, what a great life he had and I got to be a part of it. I love seeing the love between you and Penz. Your a great dog Mom.
haha I love a fellow rule follower!! I use these lavender wipes on him pretty much every day and then I try once a week to bath him using my outdoor shower but I struggled to get enough water pressure with that to get the soap off before the pump battery died so need to figure something else out. Thank you for that compliment! I am so sorry for your loss. I still miss my girl I lost 5 years ago now.....the hardest part about being a dog mom!
lol. I am a chronic rule follower. I can’t enjoy my time somewhere if parked in the wrong spot or something. Part of the awesome situation you have is that you are constantly getting cardio and burning those calories after work. You go girl with those hostess donuts. 🎉. Awesome camper tent by the way. Much more room for you. Speaking of cheesy shark movies do you like The Meg pt 1 and 2?
Same and I think because Silverton is so special to me I’m extra cautious to not be the ahole that perks where they shouldn’t. That extra cardio never hurts 🤣 I loved both the original Megs….but the frenzy one was so horrendous the shark didn’t even look like it was in the water. It was bad…..and that’s saying a lot because I’ve watched every cheesy shark movie known to man 🤣
I went to Mesa Verde last summer, I loved the drive down the million dollar highway. I’m sorry I didn’t get to visit siverton or Durango, and only spent 1 day in telluride. I’m going back next summer for 3 weeks to really enjoy the area.
hey girl. another good vid. you still on the road? I had grand plans for the past summer that turned into moving instead. I'm really sorry that I missed out on a few days on Pagosa Springs...have loved living vicariously through you!
Thank you so much! I am actually home now (I am a few weeks ahead in videos). I only got to drive through Pagosa Springs but I def want to spend some time there. I hope you get your trip soon!
careful with the aging pooch- mine chased a squirrel into the rocks and ripped the acl one one side- long hikes were over but short ones was ok for over a year- then he got the other leg pushing cows out of camp.. then there was no hiking for 3 years... it took its toll on me and the other doggie. 5 years it took before i had to finally put them down at 14.
I know right?! I don’t think I’ve ever held him tighter trying to keep him from falling when he went kamikaze on me 🤣 It’s why we can’t play frisbee anymore. He doesn’t have much self preservation. I’m so sorry for your loss 🧡
I've lived in Colorado Springs for 21 years... it's become so big that we had to buy a second home, a condo, in a tiny New Mexican town. I totally understand the need to be AWAY from so many people.

Silverton always shows off! I am actually home now lol I am just a few weeks ahead in videos. I miss it already!
Love it 🥰 thank you for sharing! I’m from Florida and don’t get to see the mountains as often as I’d like, but I do try 😅
Im a former Miami girl so I totally understand that! I was drawn to the mountain life! Thanks for watching!
Loved the video! So interesting to see the history up in those passes and be able to explore the old houses! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks so much for watching and the kind comment! It’s one of my favorite things about hiking in Colorado! So much history!

@@MicheleShanklin The Walmart in Parker, AZ near where I winter carries them. I love the malt vinegar and salt and also the olive oil and salt. ❤️

Hello from rural Arizona
Well hello!!
Phoenix was my sweet doggies name ❤️
Awww great minds think alike!
Bo trespassing signs are marking the boundary limits, so they generally mean no trespassing beyond that point
Valid point! As a visitor I’m just always extra cautious and the 1/4 mile of extra walking didn’t hurt us!
I live close to Ouray , nice to meet you! (Subd) ❤
I love Ouray! Nice to virtually meet you as well! Thanks for the subscribe!
New here but wanted to suggest Crestone Co you probably would love it❤️
Ohhhh adding that to my list thank you!!

It’s amazing how big all these towns have gotten. I love finding the small little towns that still feel like a community!
