Saw this in the store way back when, bought it without hearing it (just going by the artists listed on the CD cover). Disappointed? Please!! One of my best purchases!
I don't think there is a woman musician quite like Me'shell Ndgeocello. She's an instrumentalist, not just a singer, a poet, a philosopher, an activist. In fact, I don't ever think I ever heard a male musician who gets it *just* right quite like she does. She's great at many genres and she's even worked with my favourite deep house artist, Miguel Migs.
