I'm studying Sogang level 6 GAP at the moment and started from level 4. It's great. One of the things I love most about it is you can choose how hard you want to study and take it because they're not strict about assignments and homework and the exams aren't too difficult. The more study you do the more you'll get out if it, but if you have other stuff going on e.g. job applications, part time job, internship etc etc it's not overwhelming or too stressful. Diverse classrooms, students there who actually want to speak which is great because I have the same goal. While the course being designed around speaking is great, it's more important that my classmates are actually keen and motivated to speak too. And while writing is definitely the lowest focus of the skills at Sogang, if you take the time to do your assignments properly and we-write and memorise them for the exams, I think you'll improve a lot. Also if you pay attention during grammar activities and make an effort to keep using the grammar points after we go through them once quickly in class. Just thought I'd comment for anyone out there weighing up their options. I strongly recommend Sogang.
@Eono Learning I didn't study alone. I recommend TTMIK grammar lessons and Iyagi series ages ago though. I used them for free but I think you have to pay now.
This is interesting! I would know more about Korean study program in Sogang. I've plan to take Korean study program in Korea but not sure to go to Univ or course. Also the cost living and etc. If you dont mind, would you drop your social media account? So I able to asking you more about Sogang University and furthermore😸 Thank you!
Just got accepted as an exchange student at Sogang. It's great that they put so much focus on speaking because all the Korean language classes I took at my home university were mostly about reading and translating. I struggle with actual speaking, reading and listening is fine tho
I also want to study in Korea.. but not for language schools but for university..I already graduated from university years ago but now I want to pursue another bachelors deg because I have a new goal but I’m scared people (especially koreans) would act different towards me..because I’ll be 28 and they’ll be 20-25.. I’m worried they’ll not befriend me because I know ageism is a thing in Korea 🥲😭😭
Do not let people npot let you achieve your dreams. age too , If you want something work for it, you have only one life, dont waste it for a bunch of people and make the best out of it.
Don't worry about it, follow your dreams no matter what, i know it's easier said than done but even i am leaving my life behind, the major i choose for myself and starting new in korea, let's be brave together and start our new lives in korea❣️ P.s. plastic surgery is a big thing in korea, I've seen 40y/o's who look like 25, so u always have a way😉 😂😂😂
I also want to study in Korea but I'm 30 haha. Koreas treat older people with respect so i cant imagine them being rude or mean. I think it will be okay. Do you already know Korean then? I say go for it!

This is very helpful! I'm currently a student at a university here in the U.S. doing my master's in Korean. Next year, I'll be spending a year interning and taking classes at a university in Korea as an exchange student. I tested into my program at a high- intermediate / low- advanced Korean level, and am only a month into my program. Sogang, Ewha, and Korea University are my top three choices as of now, and I hope to choose my top choice soon!

Hello Tiny Krevet, now after this video I am also planning to go to Sogang. Did you take korean language classes at Sogang university? If yes, What is your feedbacks about this university korean language course?
@@jamimilya oh Hello ! Thank you for your message. I actually changed my mind nd I choose Busan University 😅. If you want to go to Seoul I only heard good things bout Sogang bit unfortunately I cannot give you personal feedback. As for Busan/Pusan National University if you’re ever interested in going to n other city than Seoul then it definitely worth it. It is way cheaper and although the course’s pace is a little speed I feel like I am making good progress. PNU is serious you have homework literally everyday. Let me know if you want more feedback on PNU. 😊

it's sooo hard so choose because I really want to be able to speak Korean in one year, while having intensive and engaging courses that focus equally on speaking, writing, listening and understanding. but those who convinced me the most for now are sungkyunkwan and sogang, even though I'm not sure about sogang because I don't know if it will help me have better reading and literature understanding skills
I'm having a hard time choosing, it's a tie between Yonsei and Sogang. I plan on moving to Korea in February 2022, my main goal is to apply for a scholarship after finishing level 6. Yonsei seems to be the best option to have better chances entering University later on due to the assignments, tests and focus on developing grammar; but since it becomes incredibly demanding and difficult up to level 3 (not only at Yonsei, but specially there if that makes sense) I fear I won't be able to balance work and study. Sogang was my first option since I want to be able to communicate and express myself well and accurately. I'll have to do a little more research though, the prices are not that different. I have only heard good things about Lexis Korea, but it's not as affordable :( Thank you for all the information!!
@@user-dd1iq6wi5b Hii!! I applied for Sogang :) . I thought it would be more beneficial for me to be able to learn how to communicate well faster, their method is focused on speaking. Hi, I'm still confused about choosing Yonsei or Sogang, is there someone here who could help me? Anyone who has had experiences at either of the two universities?
I am Ahmed from Algeria. I am 50 years old. I have a master's degree in administration. Budget. I would like to complete a PhD study in korea. What universities would you recommend to me in order to have the lowest cost?
I'll be 17 year old after graduating high school in june but you must apply for universities and scholarships in march which means I will waste a whole year to apply missing so many other opportunities and I was wondering if I could apply before my graduation or something

I already have a degree in one thing but I want to go to college again a Korean University to learn the language and culture. Do they take Financial Aid? Are there any scholarships? How do you go about paying for it? Where would you stay there?
Hi I'm graduating this year of bachelor of science information technology and i plan to save money to enroll to korean language in korea for the purpose of working in korea is it possible for me to have a part time job while taking korean language class ? Is it doable ?
I think there's a visa you need that allows you to apply for a part time job only after living for 6 months there. But if you're only there for exchange, the exchange visa doesn't let you work at all.
if for lang program: I've never seen a lang program reject an app If for undergraduate: depends on country of origin, fluency in Korean/English, diploma etc. what exactly are you looking into?
This might be a stupid question, but is it possible to attend more than just 10weeks? For example 30weeks or even 50weeks, if u have the finances for it.
normally korean language programs are max 10 weeks long per term (that means 3 months or so) because in order for a foreigner to stay longer than 3 months in korea they have to process a d4 type visa
What are the academic requirements for the language program of SNU? I know the university is very competitive, but I don't see info online regarding the difficulty of getting into the Korean language program.
