    Unbelievable possibilities in Scaler! I have the tool now 1 week and it is so helpful for anyone making music. Thanks so much for this nice video too!

    Still can't seem to find anything on transposing - granted I am new to Scaler, but I've written a sequence in D minor, and want to convert the whole track into C Minor. I was hoping to find a quick solution to transpose it down 2 semi-tones, but it seems I have to start from scratch again - yes, I've taken a photo of the chords, so can do a work around. If anyone knows how to do this it would be great for future reference - thanks

    Great video! Just got scaler a few days ago and I was wondering how to trigger the notes with a midi keyboard.

    how to record customized out of order chord Not like preset performers manually with midi keyboard and loop play it through the scaler 2 pattern player?

    Thanks for the video. Can chords be coming from outside of Scaler 2? For example, can I input chords myself live on a MIDI keyboard? Essentially I want Scaler 2 to function like a traditional arranger keyboard.

    thank you, great. - btw : Please i need more than 8 Pattern areas. Because at the very beginning i pick out a very, very large number of chords. From this i then use the best ones in the "PAD" area.

    Actually, the Arturia Minilab does have an octave control, right? So, you have more than 2 octaves at your fingertips.

    • @JoshuaCasper
      @JoshuaCasper 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I meant, Playing at one time... you have 2 octaves of keys at any give time. ;)

    • @GaryR55
      @GaryR55 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JoshuaCasper Well...not exactly. Yes, the number of keys is, basically, a two-octave range, but we've had octave controls for many years, now, that facilitate extending the keyboard's range. You just have to be nimble enough to use it, that's all. My Korg Microkey 25 has octave buttons that stay locked once pushed, so I can just push the button and go back to using both hands on the mini-keys. But, yeah, some keyboards don't have that feature and make you hold the button down with your left hand, which sucks.

    Wow. I'm sure that program is powerful but Jesus. If I knew enough about music theory to use it, I wouldn't need to!

    thats 1000 steps for a simple transpose task? much too complicated to me (and I use scaler quite often).

  • @SolairNova
    @SolairNova 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    So complicated ! Finding a melody and playing it is so simple compare to that procedure…

    • @ArmageddonPunk
      @ArmageddonPunk 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Playing a melody is easy enough.
      Joshua is showing how to play your Melody transposed into different keys. I'm sure there are musicians that can do that easily, but i am not one of them, so this method rocks for me.

    • @SolairNova
      @SolairNova 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ArmageddonPunk No problem. If it's easier for you, but I have a different opinion on this matter. I've bought this Scaler 2, I finally stopped trying to use it lately. Never mind. have fun with music ! ;)
