Sheryl Swoopes played in literally the first women's basketball game I ever saw (93 WCB championship when she was at Texas Tech) at a time when network TV only showed one or two WCB games a year and I have an incredible amount of respect for her. I also have an incredible amount of respect for Caitlin Clark. They are both all-time great players. I think Sheryl's main target was the disproportionate amount of coverage that Caitlin receives (not Caitlin's fault) relative to the other all-time great WCB players which is for all the fairly obvious reasons (most notably race and timing)

Jess. Sleep paralysis is horrifying, but can also be a gift. If you are able to relax your mind and body when it happens, you can actually “leave your body” or experience lucid dreaming. Usually my sleep paralysis occurs when I’m over tired or very anxious. I’ve been trying to harness this condition because many people report being able to experience amazing things from this. If you’re scared, try and focus on just moving one finger or toe, and stay calm. Easier said than done. Also, if you wake up with neck tension, you probably had a bout with sleep paralysis that you just can’t remember. Look out for the Pelicans.
Interesting. Never heard this before. When it’s happened to me (and it doesn’t happen often) I remember feeling panicky and straining to force myself to move which wakes me up. Knowing what you shared, I’ll see if I can remember in my sleep to stay calm and see what happens.

What happens when Lia Thomas switches to NCAA women's basketball.
He DID NOT know the rules well enough. The smoking gun is the quote “I wanted the ball so that we would get it first in sudden death”. That let everyone know he hadn’t done the game theory on the new rules that EVERY other coaching staff has done which is defer and then go for 2 points if you win the toss.
I would’ve forgiven him if he just said his defense was gassed. But he F’d up by letting it slip that he thought he’d get the ball back if he received first.

If he knew the overtime rules then it makes it even worse... You cannot receive the ball first in that situation under any circumstance. Several 49ers players came out and said they were unsure of the rules, which comes back on the head coach.
