LONGEST TIME EVER since hanging out with all of you!! Soo sorry about the week break we did not plan it at all, just been camping (with zero wifi and internet) for the last 10 days to bring you this series! We are VERY excited to finally show you our home state of Western Australia as sooo many of you are always asking us to show our home more! New 4 part series begins right now! *ahem* anyway's what's new with you? :)
4 years late for comments but WA is one fantastic place and I live here! Why did I spend so much time O/S when its all at my doorstep? Covid caused my change of heart and you Guys contributed :)
Yes, poor W.A. does get ignored by so many people. We did the same drive back in 1995, it was almost like a different place back then. Great video. Nice to see our home state getting such good promotion.
Great to see other parts of Australia. I lived in Melbourne for 20 years (now in Ireland) and only made it to Perth in WA. Loved exploring more of Australia, one of my favourites was backpacking from Cairns to Brisbane in my pre-kid days about 15 years ago! Look forward to watching the rest of this series. One day maybe I'll get there with my kids and see more!
I was in Kalbarri a little more than 2 years ago and loved it. Definite chilled out vibes, despite it being Easter weekend at the time and the caravan park we stayed in being absolutely rammed. The gorges are a real spectacle, and if you can, I'd recommend doing one of the aerial tours. Seeing Kalbarri in this video definitely gave me some nostalgia goosebumps. :-)
We were meant to go snorkelling with the Manta Rays :( but as you will find out in the next episode it got cancelled...we didn't have the best luck this time around with the weather! Yay so glad you are excited for the series!
As an American, I know SO little about Australia. This is an illuminating video for me! That Shell Beach is amazing...give it a couple of millennia, and all those shells will be sand. Looking forward to the rest of the trip!
Australia is so BEAUTIFUL! That shell beach with the beautiful blue water. I could spend a whole day there! ❤❤❤ What is new I leave in a week for SWITZERLAND ❤
Flying The Nest I’ve only lived there for 2 months in March and April, I’m originally from Colorado. But I’m coming back longer term in August! So haven’t been gone too long!
Omg your channel just popped up in my recommendations. Btw, I Live in Broome and I’ll tell you what you will definitely enjoy it. You can check the majestic rocks at gantheume point where you can see the famous footprint of the dinosaur, the beautiful cable beach and lastly the friendly diverse people of Broome. Enjoy your stay in Broome I’m sure you’ll love it.
All beaches are shells, that's what sand is, the sand over the east coast is finer than here, due to the great barrier reef , shell grit and coral ground down from fish feeding and natural erosion, I love yhe W.A. coast line, its awesome Davi b
Oh wow guys!! So this is cool that you are exploring your own back yard really :) I love it! Totally loved the shell beach!!! THAT is amazing!!! Who knew? Lol Keep having loads of fun! Can't wait to on holiday myself! :)
Hi Steve and Jess, I love love love your videos!! I’m currently studying abroad in Brisbane from the USA, you’re videos are the main reason I chose Australia to study!! WA looks amazing, thanks for sharing you’re adventures and putting a smile on my face ❤️
Flying The Nest Excellent, I haven’t had the chance to watch it in full yet. I was just going off the title and the description. I hope you enjoyed it. We loved it when we lived in the Pilbara, many a camping trips where had.
We are going to be doing this same trip in December, probably just up to Karratha, but this video was awesome to inspire us. Our channel is quickly becoming a travel vlog from a family friendly comedy skits after our Japan trip! Great channel by the way :)
Oh, I can't wait for the whale sharks!! Great work guys, I really liked this video... It reminded me of my holiday - we also stopped at the Billabong :D
Whatt???? there are so many beautiful places around Perth. Dude you need to get out more!! So much amazing forest, Rottnest, rivers, down south. You say up north is more beautiful? I disagree, you gotta do some day trips. There are some amazing, dramatic places up there for sure , but also a shit load uneventful vistas! Check out the islands around Rockingham for starters!!
Flying The Nest only 4 days left of school and then we have my first school dance.and all of my final grades are either A or B only physic C ....well my grades are a lot better than previous years so....also on 19 of June I found out if I'm in my dreams school soo.what about your week?❤
I’m going to live in Perth for 3 months soon. I’d like to go on one of these tours but I don’t have anyone to join me- would you say it’s good for making friends? Also how long did the tour last? X
So happy to see that you’ve uploaded a video just when I’ve returned home from Auckland! WA looks so beautiful. When is the best time to visit the dolphins? I can’t keep up with your vacation plans haha. Should Bali be my next stop lol 🤣 and subsequently WA
I think the dolphins visit all year round, but would be best to come during the quieter seasons so there aren't so many people on the beaches with you!
Hi guys, such cool videos! I was just wondering, as you're travelling around Australia all the time if I can ask you a question about flying with drones :) Does Australia still allow you to fly with your drone in your carry on baggage when flying domestically? Thank you :)
Hey Emma, I have flown with my drone many times in Oz on various airlines and I have been told that the Batteries always have to be carried on board but the Drone itself can be checked.. Doing this I have not experienced any dramas yet.
Omg love the video can’t believe you made me wait 😂 and I just got back from my Belize trip🤗🤗 I’m editing my video for it lol it’s a bad first travel vlog lol but on top that I lost my GoPro in the ocean when were diving 😑😑😂😂
Flying The Nest Belize was great weather was good during day lol I just uploaded part 1 it’s not that good lol but it was an amazing experience also in part 2 I got stitches 😂😂
You will be blown away all thanks,to WA.......❤️🧡💛💚 Edit: I’ve been to ALL of those places and my fav would be the billabong road house because of there amazing meat pies!😂😂😂😂🤣🤣
If you think WA is under-represented compared to East coast, SA is even more so... Most people know of our wine regions & little more... Some nice contrasting views of the countryside... Love that you are exposing others to the "Bogan" phenomenon... Needed 4 more seconds to show your nerd cred... (1337)
Will look at doing one of those for our next series 😀 we couldn't do it this time (I saw you mentioned it a few weeks back and loved the idea) but we didn't have any internet this week
Flying The Nest ok thank you 😃I hope I'm going to be online when you post on instagram story your polls ...anyways do you know when will you 2 come to Slovenia?
this popped up in my feed so I thought... anyway. at least you're almost doing a trip. next time buy a vehicle and get 'off the beaten track' even my grandchildren have seen more of W.A. than you two have on this trip. but at least you've made the effort. living in Perth (ferndale) 45 odd years ago on one of our 7 laps of Oz, we met people that hadn't even traveled north of the swan. so let's hope the exploration bug has truly ripped a hole in you and you can't stop touring. but buy a 4by and do it properly.
Man truck have got some beauties as well take a look at my motorhome in Australia search for: 4x4 motorhome slrv commander, and I am sure you will be impressed, thank you

I was in Kalbarri a little more than 2 years ago and loved it. Definite chilled out vibes, despite it being Easter weekend at the time and the caravan park we stayed in being absolutely rammed. Hi guys, such cool videos! I was just wondering, as you're travelling around Australia all the time if I can ask you a question about flying with drones :)
Does Australia still allow you to fly with your drone in your carry on baggage when flying domestically?
Thank you :)
Hey! We have flown with a drone in our carry on a number of times in Australia, so we think it is fine! Just don't fly it in any national parks :)
Brilliant, thank you!
Hey Emma, I have flown with my drone many times in Oz on various airlines and I have been told that the Batteries always have to be carried on board but the Drone itself can be checked.. Doing this I have not experienced any dramas yet.
