It's a goddamn CRIME that this fella has less than 2k subs....I'm also old, I'm also a gamer, and while I've never been married or had kids I like to pretend I'm on a budget...Great video bud, lookin forward to more....Greetings from Texas!
Appreciate ya clickin "love" but that unfortunately that and a few dollars will buy ya a cup of coffee. I mean this respectfully, I think of channels like yours as bein the "Mom n Pop Operation" channels that bring us all back to when we were young...Yanno, many, many many years ago :( ...I hope you and yours are doin well!
I remember getting my free copy of Dragon Warrior, and given the timing of when I got it and when I bought Phantasy Star. I ended up playing that one and off for almost 2mths before I then got to Dragon Warrior and man the game was not easy and I had to be patient with it. But it was so awesome to get. Watching this video totally brought me back to my childhood. Thank you for making this video so much man!!!!!
I saw the original commercial back in the day, then my parents bought me for my bithday, I think. Great memories, but I didn't understand how to play it inmediatly. Took me some time to grow up and get it, until I beat it.
I played the heck out of this back in the day! I can’t rem how I got it but the map and handbook are a must. I beat it last year and it held up way better than I thought it would.
Not only is it a fantastic game but has a great soundtrack too. Wish they'd release the soundtrack, on CD just like they did with all Ninja Turtles games for the Nes. I've beaten it quite a few times. It's a little too easy though. A friend of mine first introduced me to this game before I played it, as I would watch him play. Great game for back in the day
Agree the artwork was the best! Dragon warrior was my first rpg I played. My buddy had it and was into D&D and I got into it as well. Loved the difficulty, NES hard! Enjoyed the sequel as well.
I really miss the instruction booklets. i would not play a game without reading the entire manual, I just did not feel like I could jump into a game without doing so.
I never could get into this game, but I do understand why people like it. I totally forgot about the free give away! I think I was already subscribed at that point and it wasn’t anything I could easily capitalize on…
Great unboxing! I have an interesting story with getting this game. Many years ago, I got duck tales 2 loose from Ebay. The seller accidentally shipped me a repro of double dragon and battle toads. After a few back and forth conversations, the seller not only sent me the actual game I purchased but also through in about copy of this game to smooth things over, free of charge. Being polite, professional and understanding from a business sense can go a long way. ☝️🙌✨️
Why is he riding a dragon? That isn't in any Dragon Quest game I know of. Dragon Warrior is a grindfest. It is not as brutal as the second game. The best NES Dragon Warrior game was Dragon Warrior 3.
Awesome video!!! I was always amazed at how much some games gave in terms of additional content. Dragon Warrior was definitely one of those games.
Thanks brother! Yeah I miss those days of full color manuals and maps. I agree indeed!
The map is awesome! I miss those details! 🦎🦎
So do I! The golden age of gaming…
I played it because a friend had it and he got it as a gift from his grandma
it was my intro to the series in 1998
That’s awesome! Thanks for watching and for the comment.

Great way of keeping game/box etc. Minty😊 sMaRt!
Never played Dragon Warrior! I remember hearing of it but never tried it. Another for the backlog! 🦎🦎
It’s a lot of fun but some of the mechanics haven’t aged well. Still it’s worth it just for the history.

Agreed the sequels are all good as well. Thanks for the post!
Yeah I finished 1 and 2, never finished any others. Think I jumped on the Final Fantasy wagon by then hah
The DW game ad is so cheesy and I love it!
Sooo good!
@@ThePoorMansRetroGameRoom I knew about the handbook but didn’t know about the cards with stats. How did it all fit in the box?
@@playmooregames371 very carefully 😆
Looks great not seen this or played it - never got into the dragon warrior series
It's a great RPG classic!
I think the multiple endings was really cool though I wish the bad ending was a little more theatrical I guess😂
Thanks for watching!
I got it free from Nintendo Power. I think my first JRPG was Phantasy Star on the Sega Master System.
Dang that’s a good one. Phantasy Star is great. Thanks for watching and for the post!
I really miss the instruction booklets. i would not play a game without reading the entire manual, I just did not feel like I could jump into a game without doing so.
Me too! The instructions use to add to the game. Thanks for watching!

Oh wow! Very cool man! Yes it can for sure. Thanks for sharing that dude. Nice!
I am still sore 5 and 6 never came out!
Agreed! 👍
Can you still sign up for that deal?
I wish!

I’m not sure why he is riding a dragon 😆 I would say 3&4 are really good but I still like the original too. Thanks for watching!
