MegaCapitalG Yup, that's just the beginning. . . wait until you read how Trishula is corrupted by Evilswarm and turned into a suit of armor by the Nekroz.
I love the lore. But you are missing one bit of the gagagigo lore. Giga fought his old rival and in the fight he reawakened his soul and turned into The Risen
Yeah, there's a reason they keep rehashing the Ice Barrier dragons. They're canonically speaking some of the strongest beings in the entire Duel Terminal universe.
Friend: "Why does my Shaddolls keep losing to your Yang Zings?" Me: "Because Sombre created the Yang Zings to defeat Shaddolls" #neklevelled #greaterpowersatwork
Ive been trying to gather as much "correct" information about the past few sets of Cards (basically after the DT line ends with kerk and Sombre defeating Sophia) where the shadolls, Qliphs, Yang zing, Inferniroids and Stellar knights come into play, just so I can potentially make an animated movie/ miniseries of the story. Ive followed the lores since the DT started, and these intergradation of the DT story and the core sets is literally the best "Lores" in the entirety of Yugioh.
hey man thanks a lot. Its just that animation takes soooo long to complete that by the time something is actually done it might be out of date or relevance.
I've glad many of you enjoyed the video. As some of you don't know the Lores (especially the big one). I'm going to do a simplified video series explaining it.
ps3shark1 Mist Valley was one of the 4 tribes that joined together to create the Ally of Justice to combat the Worms. Then once the Ally of Justice started harvesting Worms to experiment on them instead of killing them, the Mist Valley broke away from the Ally of Justice to fight the Worms themselves. Also, the Dragunity were a legends of the Mist Valley until they turned out to be real and fought against the Worms and Fabled. Also, the Gusto are descendants of the Mist Valley.
truth be told its hit and miss with the series, some episodes are very enjoyable and others are just plain stupid, later on in the series its starting to get intense
Mist valley helped create the allies of justice who where weapons created to combat the worm invasion. The Gusto are their decendants now what i personzlly really want to know is how they tie to the Yosenju because there is a connection its just not clear yet
Also i'm pretty sure the new water fusion is trishula, winda is level 5, wendeigo is level 6, grysta is level 7, construct is level 8, and shekhinaga is level 10, that leaves the is level 9, and what level 9 water monster from DT do we have left. trishula... half life 3 confirmed
+Straven93 actually in the battle schirtt wearing the cloth of trishula he frozed shekinaga and some of the qli and demons that were fighting but she absoved infernoid devyaty (lilith) and countered the ice of trishula. just look at el-shaddoll anoyayllis she literally have a frozen devyaty equiped
I agree with everything, except that ARC V has been pretty good thus fare from what I have been watching.Besides that, I would love to see a manga or something that tells the story of the monsters.
I fucking love the Yugioh lores, they're like a mini Yugioh history, and I've even made a few videos discussing some of the lores (The Forbidden Lance story, Chronamalies, and Ghostricks). I'd say the best Yugioh Lore is the DD Warrior Lady vs Dai Grepher story, it spans so many cards and sets.
A friend told me about these a few weeks ago and I fell in love with them. I was even thinking about making an Academy Role-Play event based around this.
I agree! I love how they integrated the DT story into the main booster set. I also agree that they should make an anime series out of it and the other notable lores. I wonder what will happen in the sorry once the Infernoids come out?
I greatly enjoyed this kind of video, and would love to see you do more advanced talks about it if you could. Never followed yugioh lore that much but i have always been fascinated by it.
The Duel Terminal series and the cards that came from them are honestly what kept me playing YuGiOh! during a time where everyone else I knew had either lost interest or were simply playing other TCG's. Duel Terminal 1 was when the Worm's and the Allies of Justice were fighting against one another. I had really been on the fence as far as Synchro's were concerned, but the Allies of Justice sold me completely. I remember going to an Arcade in Austin when I was in college and being blown away by the fact that there was an actual YuGiOh! arcade machine there, on top of that, being able to pull cards of then-unique rarity out of these machines was equally awesome. To this day, two of the most treasured cards in my collection are my DT01 Goyo and my DT01 Brionac. I only got to play Duel terminal 3 after that for a long time. My DT03 Decisive Armor is my only spoil of war from that era. I finally got to play again during DT07. When Constellars came out, I probably spent half a paycheck playing the DT07 machine in Arizona where I spent a few weeks vacation with some college friends. Constellars really got me back into the Duel Terminal lore. I'm an Astronomy major, so the Constellars have been my favorite archetype since their release. Now we have Satellarknights, Qliphorts, Shaddolls, Infernoids, Nekroz... there's way too much potential here! The epic struggles depicted in the Duel Terminal lore are so much grander in depth and scope than the standard anime. If Konami ever released a manga or anime for this, I'd be standing in line to see it.
I really like the lores, and I would buy all the Manga if it existed. I really want to see some stuff about Archfiends and the similarities between Yubel- terror incarnate and Beel
I LOVE the Yugioh lore. It is actually what made me so interested in the game itself; i began to notice certain connections in the cards, stories untold and unrwitten but still there. Such as the Ojama extinction, Split lives of the dark Magician (not an official story, but in short, each seperate art of D. Magician leads to one of the multiple more powerful forms meaning that each is a sperate person) but I digress. The Yugioh lore is wide, vivid, and incredibly creative and leaves me staring at every single minute detail trying to find these connections.
Yay! So glad you've been exploring this, it's really amazing, you should also look at the inspiration for some cards, like the whole Burning Abyss, the Divine comedy is an amazing book and you should check it out. Oh and you are so wrong about Arc-V, everyone loves it, give it a watch...Please
I would happily read a manga or watch an anime about all of these. I remember when I realized that all of the Legendary 6 samurai were actually the Grandmaster, the hand, and various other support cards to the original 6 samurai. The war between them and the ninja clans would be awesome to watch and it would be amazing to see the older character training the cards that were originally released. The Psudo-story of the Lightsworn vs the Dark and Dark world cards were amazing too. I would be all over an anime or manga series that had those in them faster than you could ever imagine.
I would really enjoy some expanded universe type things to explain card lore. Things like a web series, or manga, or light novel, just overall like you said they're really interesting, but we need to piece them together ourselves. Though, if you really wanted to get people pumped about how amazing some of the lore is, maybe do some readings? You know, tell us the stories, and for some of them where there isn't an official source, maybe connect the dots yourself and tell us how you think it happened. I mean, I'm biased because I'm a huge lore nut in basically anything I do, but I really do think that there's a lot of us that would enjoy something like that.
Noah Hines He ends up similar to the Gigo series of card, going through an an evil phase and then becomes "redeemed." Well... sorta... yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Ohr-Shaddoll_Sephira_Roots
gagagigo getting some love, never forget when I first saw him on spirit barrier and memory of an adversary, mind was blown until I wiki'd it a week later
I too have only heard of the lores in the game. I've made speculation growing up and playing the game since I was young that Every card, no matter how paltry or insignificant it may be, plays a role in a story somewhere. Like cards with flavour text (vanillas) that introduce & explain what the card is known for. My favorite one growing up and apparently still shows up even to this day is the storyline of warrior dai grepher. I would definetrly be a fan of a Lore and would DL and support it greatly if konami, Or anyone with a good imagination would take the time out and actually piece Lores together.
I love most of the YGO lore and think that they could probably make a portion of them into various full seasoned anime series that a lot more than just YGO fans would watch.
I first learned about them when I finally analyzed the Gagagigo cards' text and then saw cards where that same monster appeared and that's when I googled card lore and learned about it and I was also very surprised and intrigued by it
I would love to see a book on their Loews and everything , it kind of makes a third side of Yugioh, but not just any side, it could be like a fandom lore kind of thing
I really love the lore behind the cards! Like you, I had no idea there was actual lore, until I saw Gagagigo's cards. Honestly, I thought Duel Terminal & Hidden Arsenal were just Konami wanting more money. I was wrong. Animated shorts or manga please!
Arc V, the current YGO anime is actually one pretty good, its up there with OG and 5D's. Please don't judge unless you've seen it for yourself. If you still think its bad then that's fine, but prejudging is not cool dude.
everything gets better with lore and if they make a manga/anime series out of the Duel terminal. for example Steelswarm Roach he's an absolute bro 100% the fact that they renamed him from Noblswarm to Evilswarm was not cool lore wise since he was never corrupted by the virus. I'm glad you got around to making this video Captial G help spread the lore however slowly it may take
I hav always dreamed off a dule terminal anime mange or novel but personally I love the gagagigo archetype I would like a anime / manga / novel about the dule terminal war with the gishki gusto gem knight and laval but with the charmers in it cos of how Wyn becomes Wynda priestess of gusto and Eria becomes gishki eriel. Also on a different topic I love the way the dule terminal lore is so intertwined for instance since as I already stated the charmers are cenected to the dule terminal lore therefore since Gagagigo wos Erias formilia that makes his archetype interlocked with dule terminal bringing Kazaky inpachi goblin attack force and marauding captain into the picture and then goblin attack force is in the artwork of tyrants tantrum and the tyrant is shown in the artwork of asleep at the switch which also shows pot of greed which brings us to the goblin of greed and in goblin sircus the goblin of greed isshown with dahrk the dark charmer which brings us back to the charmers sea ( I am sorry for any mistakes I may have made)
yeah, the duel terminal lore, the one i'm familiar with, could be a great anime, as a fantasy epic it would be great. Also I think it would make playing the actuall game even more fun, as some matchups would have a cool lore background Ps: all the shadoll monsters are ressurected or corrupted versions of cards in other archetypes, as well as a lot of the evilswarms. The ritual evigishkis are also transformed monsters either from their own archetype or others, basically, the main thing from Duel Terminal is that all the cards originated from others and that is super cool
I would love an anime of the lore. It would be very interesting especially since it would be able to explain the origins of various archetypes and such
yo G... greetings from Mexico, I am a huge fan and you're too dope and seem like the chill type of guy someone can smoke bud or drink a 40 oz with... Anyways, I enjoy your videos and the content you post-up always trying to be up to date... especially on your duel commentary... and it'll be cool if maybe in the future you'll maybe do a neckroz deck profile near the future.... keep up the good work and wish you the best.... take care
The Constellars are actually god-like beings and E-swarm Kerykeion is the corrupted brother of Altair iirc. Also Cairngorgon is a corrupted Gem-Knight Zirconia. Really wish they'd do a web comic of the Duel Terminal lore! I would pay for it if I had to
el shaddoll winda wasn't just a gusto, she's the sister of wynn the wind charmer from "the lost millennium." aka: that set that came out nearly 10 years ago.
To be honest, it was only after seeing the shaddoll line and seeing how a lot of the cards look alike- did I wonder if there was a story behind the cards. I just found out yesterday there was a lore to the cards. Wow
I have a headcanon that the Archfiends and Dark World monsters are at war with eachother in the underworld, the arcfiends control their territory pandemonium and their base, archfiend palabyrinth which is ruled by archfiend emperor and archfiend empress.
Where are we in duel terminal now? Qliphorts turn infernoid, zefra alliance is formed, construct absorbs one of the infernoids in the frozen void (or trishula thats debatable), then the zefra launch Dragunity Lance at the new form of construct killing it and ending war #3. Jesus christ I wonder if there going to go as far as to put a fourth war in the lore.
Yugioh has some of the BEST LORES!! The art on the cards itself tells stories..for instance Solemn/Forbidden Judgement, DD Lady, ....There are a few Channels that have Lore Stories..Chaocresta just did a series on Prophecy, Six Sam, and Ghostrick, Also check out The YugiohOrganization and they are doing MEGALORES ..Naturias(their story runs from Worms to Qliphorts), and Lavals....REAL GOOD ARC-V is AMAZING!! All the Summoning Techniques are Illustrated!!, Old and New Archetypes given Airtime (X-sabers, Battleguards, Constellars, GemKnights)..A great Blend of Yugioh past and present ....Great Story!!
Zexal was kinda pants by most people's standards, but Arc-V is pretty damn good. That said I do agree the lore behind the cards themselves probably could get something beyond some text in a magazine that will never be publised outside Japan. Manga or even just light novels would probably be pretty nice and cheap.
Yoooo i wanna know the story behind neclothes and shaddolls more! Cause there was Trishula, then she gets corrupt and transformed to Evilswarn Ouroborous, AND NOW the necloth boy has her powers as Necloth of Trishula. damn son.
If you want to skip the character intro episodes just watch episode 9-14 then you get filler so continue watching at 24-26 then 29 and up for the tournament arc.
Shaddolls are not like Evilswarms, Evilswarm was essentially a virus that corrupted living monsters as well as reviving some (Ice barrier dragons). Shaddolls are like evil COPIES of the monsters, either dead or alive. You can see in Sinister Shadow Games that Dragon and the Dragon from Midrash are the "shadows" of the yang zing, or in the Shaddoll field spell you see the dark shadow "copying" the armor of Unukalhai to create Squamata.
Love the Lore but feel that they should take a route similar to Pokemon Special/Adventures just having a manga that is darker and more serious in tone to the main series
Mistaken Arrest shows sangan and witch of the black forest getting pulled over by a goblin police officer, and Mistaken Accusation shows... well just look it up
They did that concept of making a show based around the events of the cards(kind of) for Duel Masters with Kaijudo and it wasn't that great. What Konami should do is release a hard cover book that tells the tales and uses the cards pictures to help illustrate the stories.
Is there more duel terminal lore? I am curious because I just noticed when dueling someone had another version of sophia, something like an apoqliphort + an infernoid hybrid thing
They new show isn't all bad. Im a fusion lover so when they started throwing poly around like a party balloon I almost jinxed myself. Almost like the B.C. days.
What I find unfortunate is Japan gets these "Master Guides" which come with promos and tells the stories of each archetype; but we don't. A lot of the lore for the most recent sets all have to do Japan releasing little tidbits and players inferring the next logical step in the chain of events.
i would like an anime or manga of the duel terminal goodness but i would like it if they do both and not stop the manga(arc v) for bringing the monster storyline
Just read about how Trishula froze the entire planet....damn, dude's real.
Sombre is a girl.
Yeah, there's a reason they keep rehashing the Ice Barrier dragons. They're canonically speaking some of the strongest beings in the entire Duel Terminal universe.
Where can I find them?
Friend: "Why does my Shaddolls keep losing to your Yang Zings?"
Me: "Because Sombre created the Yang Zings to defeat Shaddolls"
#neklevelled #greaterpowersatwork
Duel Terminal anime ... the idea makes me want to cry a bit. It's so beautiful. Thank god for Yugimation.
This comment did not age well

That would be sooooo awesome man, btw love your videos
hey man thanks a lot. Its just that animation takes soooo long to complete that by the time something is actually done it might be out of date or relevance.
Yugimation if any youtuber should do this... it has to be you!
If someone can make the lore is you man good luck on that journey
I've glad many of you enjoyed the video. As some of you don't know the Lores (especially the big one). I'm going to do a simplified video series explaining it.
Is there anything on the mist valley, when i read it they mentioned them breifly because they r the old races
ps3shark1 Mist Valley was one of the 4 tribes that joined together to create the Ally of Justice to combat the Worms. I'm actually going to watching Arc-V based off nothing but the opinions of you guys. I hope it doesnt disappoint
It's going to disappoint you.
it's not going to disappoint you at all, it's a fantastic series, probably the best to date.
yeah MegaCapitalG Arc-V is AMAZINGGGGG
You'll at least like it, fear not G, it's very fun to watch.
The second best series after 5D's
Also i'm pretty sure the new water fusion is trishula, winda is level 5, wendeigo is level 6, grysta is level 7, construct is level 8, and shekhinaga is level 10, that leaves the is level 9, and what level 9 water monster from DT do we have left. trishula... half life 3 confirmed

The lore makes you like the game so much more
I agree with everything, except that ARC V has been pretty good thus fare from what I have been watching.Besides that, I would love to see a manga or something that tells the story of the monsters.
"I'm pretty sure the current anime is probably very very bad." MEGACAPITALG ARC-V IS THE BEST they use meta decks bruh
Constellars and crud
Bruh, they can never beat the awesomeness of card games on motorcycles, or best the heart of the cards.
jon moss Well, one of the characters plays the card game on a motorcycle soooo...... I don't think there are trying to beat the awesomeness that had.
I had really been on the fence as far as Synchro's were concerned, but the Allies of Justice sold me completely. Constellars really got me back into the Duel Terminal lore. I'm an Astronomy major, so the Constellars have been my favorite archetype since their release.
Now we have Satellarknights, Qliphorts, Shaddolls, Infernoids, Nekroz... there's way too much potential here! Oh and you are so wrong about Arc-V, everyone loves it, give it a watch...Please
Freed and Gagagigo's story is incredibly tragic. The artwork of "Memory of an Adversary" always brings a tear to my eye.
I would happily read a manga or watch an anime about all of these. I'm glad I found this video. I've been interested in card lore ever since Joey Wheeler told the story of Gearfried the Iron Knight.
I love the duel terminal lore. I first got into it when reading about the grepher story. Since then I kept on checking to see updates of the lore.
I would really enjoy some expanded universe type things to explain card lore.

Anti luminescent knight is basically ALL the gem Knights fused together after their last battle.
I tought he looked like a gem knight!
damn shame that evil was created from the former Warriors of justice
Noah Hines He ends up similar to the Gigo series of card, going through an an evil phase and then becomes "redeemed." Well... sorta...
yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Ohr-Shaddoll_Sephira_Roots
TJ Rogers yeah I saw that, loving the design of the sephira. Also exciton knight became a sephira.
gagagigo getting some love, never forget when I first saw him on spirit barrier and memory of an adversary, mind was blown until I wiki'd it a week later
Lores are awesome indeed!! You should make series of videos on the story of each archetype of the Duel Terminal World :D
I too have only heard of the lores in the game. I've made speculation growing up and playing the game since I was young that Every card, no matter how paltry or insignificant it may be, plays a role in a story somewhere. Another really cool collection of lore is the six samurai storyline. If youre looking for more lore to read up on I'd recommend that 100%

Been begging for a lore anime for the longest. Way more interesting than watching fake cards in a orchestrated duel. Send out the word mega

Yugioh has some of the BEST LORES!! The art on the cards itself tells stories..for instance Solemn/Forbidden Judgement, DD Lady, ....There are a few Channels that have Lore Stories..Chaocresta just did a series on Prophecy, Six Sam, and Ghostrick,
Also check out The YugiohOrganization and they are doing MEGALORES ..Naturias(their story runs from Worms to Qliphorts), and Lavals....REAL GOOD
ARC-V is AMAZING!! All the Summoning Techniques are Illustrated!!, Old and New Archetypes given Airtime (X-sabers, Battleguards, Constellars, GemKnights)..A great Blend of Yugioh past and present ....Great Story!!
Chaocresta? Mind directing me to that channel? I can't find anything when I search for it.
ChroahCresta sorry i spelled it wrong.
Hell yes, I'd definitely watch/read that
Cairngorgon is actually Gem-Knight Zirconia if you look back at the differences between the two.
I watched all five shows and played the game. Never knew about this until this video 🙂
I never paid much attention to the lore, but I would totally watch an anime that represents it
Welcome to the part, G!
The story of Dai-Grepher is one of my favorites, you should look it up,
A Anime or Manga to Duell Terminal would be soo awesome.
A spinoff series based on the lore would be awesome, make it happen Konami
Zexal was kinda pants by most people's standards, but Arc-V is pretty damn good.
That said I do agree the lore behind the cards themselves probably could get something beyond some text in a magazine that will never be publised outside Japan.
Manga or even just light novels would probably be pretty nice and cheap.
If they made an anime about the duel terminal lore I could die happy ugh
If yugioh wants to be like magic. They'll do something with the lore of their cards like releasing books or something.
Yoooo i wanna know the story behind neclothes and shaddolls more! Cause there was Trishula, then she gets corrupt and transformed to Evilswarn Ouroborous, AND NOW the necloth boy has her powers as Necloth of Trishula. damn son.
Its all placed in the DT book with daigusto emeral and gemknight pearl, a new dt book for qlith and shadolls will come i guess
The best lore? Huge Revolution.
Aww man that's like one of the first lores.
Still a good one. Viva La Revolution!
Don't get me wrong, it definitely is.It just flooded my mind with nostalgia. My favorite is the Gagagigo one.
hell yes i would love to see an anime based off of the terminal 3 lore
I love the duel stories it's so interesting
Love them or hate them; Lightsworns have an amazing lore.
Lores are the best and I would support either cause I am a huge fan of YuGiOh
Maybe some 15 min episodes per week to cover part of the story, that would be awesome
Duel Terminal in a nutshell.
"Archetypes war, everyone dies, reset."
if so then I utopia vs blue eyes .
You can see in Sinister Shadow Games that Dragon and the Dragon from Midrash are the "shadows" of the yang zing, or in the Shaddoll field spell you see the dark shadow "copying" the armor of Unukalhai to create Squamata.
it was so obvious that Shaddoll Winda was from Gusto lmao. the falco is from gustos too.
The anime from the lore of yugioh ? Yes please
The show we have now is amazing, but Duel Terminal needs to be a show/manga.
six samurai lore is worth mentioning
Love the Lore but feel that they should take a route similar to Pokemon Special/Adventures just having a manga that is darker and more serious in tone to the main series
The reason behind the power creep is the continuation of the current lore
It would be awesome if they made a DT anime
I want to see Gem-knights in something like that.
I wouldn't mind watching a lore vid if u made it since u seem to know about how n where it began storywise
I think someone should start a petition for a DT anime
Mistaken Arrest shows sangan and witch of the black forest getting pulled over by a goblin police officer, and Mistaken Accusation shows... well just look it up
I agree! The lores from H.A. are pretty bad ass. I'd watch if they made a amine around H.A.
I want a stroy about the Shaddolls, it seems so dark and sad
I honestly think the yugioh anime series should focus on the lore cards more then the kids dueling, but that's just one person's opinion.
I wanna read what's up with the magical citadel if that's possible. All them spell counter casters.
if there was a kickstarter for a yugioh lore anime i would give 300 dollars, even if there was no benefit
yes I would love a yugioh lore anime!!
theres a guy that ive seen on here that has for a few years doing storytime by taking the pictures of the cards and connecting them
They did that concept of making a show based around the events of the cards(kind of) for Duel Masters with Kaijudo and it wasn't that great. What Konami should do is release a hard cover book that tells the tales and uses the cards pictures to help illustrate the stories.
they must do an anime about Grepher, and it should be like Berserk
Is there more duel terminal lore? I am curious because I just noticed when dueling someone had another version of sophia, something like an apoqliphort + an infernoid hybrid thing
Duel terminal lore anime......ok hat I would watch, lol I knew some of the lore, but this is crazy
l could totally see this lore being adapted into an anime with a similar premise to the story (if you could call it that) of Dragon Ball Heroes.
They new show isn't all bad. Im a fusion lover so when they started throwing poly around like a party balloon I almost jinxed myself. Almost like the B.C. days.
i cant see a manga or, anime happening for this, but konami could make a small movie to that; i'd totally watch it.
I would support a web series of the duel terminal story line.
Cairngorgorn is a evil version of gem knight zirconia
