Yan Trovato, Have you ever seen Spiritualized live, or Spacemen 3 for that matter? The whole point of the former is that its a re-manifestation of the drug fuelled love songs of the former, with a huge step forward in terms of depth and production, not to mention range and the sheer scale of the output. Spiritualized are one of the most important bands of our time. Stop moaning about the so-called origins. If you can do better, record a better album or shut the hell up,
"Jesus Christ, When your back's against the wall It's sure hard to be grateful When you've nothing here at all You say that Hell's below us, Lord Heaven can be mine I don't believe your promises I don't believe your lies And, Lord, let it rain on me Let it all come down I'll sell my soul to let it roll And I'm about ready now Lord, let it rain on me Now I know I'm goin' down I've got a little knowledge, Lord And I'm about ready now
i agree but in terms of originality ,Spiritualized it's quite a drop from Spacemen 3, looks like he got this fomula "oh-lord-help-me-please-i'm-fucked-up-using-grugs-and-no-girl-love-me" which it's quite nice but it's gettin lame since he allready done a shitload of songs about that. Also Spiritualized is a bit to much symphonic if you compare to Spacemen 3, it reminds Pink Floyd after The Dark Side of the Moon
Feel my Soul rising at every move of this sacred song Im a Bad Man too
Jason Spaceman is a genius
I listen to this song everyday
🖤

"Jesus Christ,
When your back's against the wall
It's sure hard to be grateful
When you've nothing here at all
You say that Hell's below us, Lord
Heaven can be mine
I don't believe your promises
I don't believe your lies
And, Lord, let it rain on me
Let it all come down
I'll sell my soul to let it roll
And I'm about ready now
Lord, let it rain on me
Now I know I'm goin' down
I've got a little knowledge, Lord
And I'm about ready now
The production on this is incredible. Holy shit!!! Wow, this guy has it down.

GOSPEL!
Gratefully Acknowledged
*songs of the latter ... you get my drift ...
Fantastic song, but very low quality and poorly encoded sadly
still it's a very nice band
Jason Pierce managed not only to make Spiritualized more pop oriented but also quite repetitive
