    Ultraman Blazar is probably the second series where i anticipate both the human characters and the Ultraman at the same time because they actually serves a purpose and actually helps each other. The way they talk with each other feels natural and the comedy does not feel forced like previous season (except you Z you magnificent bastard), and don't get me started on Blazar himself he's so weird and goofy my people literally memed him the moment the first episode dropped lol because that's just how much my people liked Blazar.

      Unlike other new gen Ultra that's just being silly for the sake of it, Blazar had a good reason with him being the literal caveman of Ultra species in his lore

    I really liked Blazar, seriously. Especially for an Ultra fan who grew up on the Heisei series. This really felt a lot like the Ultramen during the Heisei era, with some charm from the New Generation and Reiwa era, which is amazing.

    He's so unique, the fight style,design and his finishing too😮‍💨😮‍💨 I wish he had his own finishing "beam" like the other Ultraman had .He is also one of the most strange Ultraman that existed 😄

    Most of the time people talk about how amazing and perfect are the heisei shows of Ultraman, and i can understand why; after all, stuff like Tiga, Gaia, Nexus, Mebius are legit really good shows.
    The most apreciatte Ultra lastly is Z, and maybe Geed. Blazar is something different, kinda; it could be Z in somehow but the style and design is compared to Nexus (even the designer say they got inspired by the look of Nexus anphans)
    The show is better than the other previous 2 shows, Trigger and Decker; i think is a good way to start with the franchise of Ultras

    As a Showa elitist, I always think any Ultraman after Heisei era is a downfall, so any toy merch and over the top gimmic. As if Im watching Kamen Rider and not Ultraman, so when I shoot my shot with Blazar, I'm amazed by how good the show is. Really happy with direction Tsuburaya is taking rn.

    Great video my guy!
    This show was such a great addition to the series, its very different compared to other shows in series, the characters were likable, ultraman Blazar himself was bizarre and acted super weird but it was kinda funny how creative he can be with his attacks like the spine breaking spinning spiral barrade or spiral fishing rod barrade 😂

    I'm sure a lot of people will disagree with this take but most of SKaRD was boring to me, none of them had unique personalities outside of Gento and Emi. people complain about "cringe" characters in new generation but you have to admit they were memorable
    I just want my characters to have character

    Idk. Its a fine show but with everything going on with the absolutians i wished they made blazar a stand in for gaia. Not make him a new generation gaia but have him be the replacement. So no TDG but TDB for this generation. Idk. It just felt kinda empty to me when i finished the series. I loved it mind you but it felt like something was missing

    If you say new generation best, I won't say anything, series best? So, where is Ultraman, Ultra Seven, Return of Ultraman, Tiga? dyna gaia, nexus? OMG, just...tons of them when old Tsuburaya production was there

  • @OtromenDeckerDynamicBiruBenda

    I personally think Blazar is a solid entry but a lot of the New Generation are just better. They have better narrative structure, the characters and their development are better thought out and their tributes to older content are just better paced over all. I think the New Generation can be criticized for a more shallow presentation of ideas at times, a more limited world view, and poor episode planning but to say Blazar does not share these issues, and not only that but that the good qualities Blazar has is not in these series and that more toyetic elements are a primary factor is a surface level critique.
    Blazar's biggest issues right now are trying to tell older style stories without adjusting to the format like previous series, axing character development for emphasis on military operations, and aforementioned overarching plot is always an after-thought put in when an episode doesn't have enough tension. I just didn't think the points were well communicated in the video and I didn't quite like it, though I'm glad more people are getting in and back into the series. Blazar will end a good show ultimately, and I'm excited for what Tsuburaya has more to offer, though to say the New Generation is a regression from their former glory in again my opinion is an untrue and quite frankly, unfounded statement.

      Personally I enjoyed the emphasis on the military drama. I wouldn't mind a new ultra series with hardcore "Earth Defence Force" vibes through and through myself, but in here I believe it's dragged down by the short run time because the conspiracy plot doesn't have much room to breathe. While a conspiracy(or sometimes political) plot isn't always necessary in a military drama, it always has the potential to raise the story to incredible heights when done well. Though even with a somewhat weak-ish overarching plot, I still think that the season has done well to establish its identity, even if it still doesn't emphasize as much on a strong philosophical ideology when compared to early heisei seasons, because while overall the show places more focus on human morality than a clear singluar philosophy, it still feels very grounded, realistic and mature because of how it portrays the dynamic beliefs and thought processes of each character over the course of the show.
      This is why I think Blazar has handled the character development quite well in contrary to what you said, with only U. Blazar himself lacking in this department as they didn't give him much deeper or longer interactions with Gento or the cast :(

      @OtromenDeckerDynamicBiruBenda 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@randot6675 I can see why, the length definitely has a part to play in it, though I think they could've done more with it with the runtime since it wasn't as heavy of a plotline. I can see why you'd like Blazar and that's cool honestly. It's just been underwhelming for me in comparison to series prior. I'm still hyped for the finale this week though

    • @randot6675
      @randot6675 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@OtromenDeckerDynamicBiruBenda It's a matter of personal preference really. Helps that I'm a massive fan of military dramas too.
      While I enjoyed Orb, Geed, Z and R/B etc, I've always found them to be lacking in something, which for now I can only describe as the "clinical approach" to dealing with threats, which was very prevalent in old series up until Mebius. Orb was great, but it's weak cast really dragged it down whenever it wasn't focused on the main duo; Geed had high stakes considering who he was dealing with, but it still felt very shounen-like; Z felt like it was getting warmer to what an Ultra show was meant to be, but I felt like there was still a lot of hangovers in the form of legacy characters "intruding" on the story when Juggler alone should've been enough.
      To me, criticising a toku show for being "toyetic" and relying on franchise legacy is a valid and crucial criticism in terms of cinematography, as I've always found the lengthy sequences to be immersion breaking, especially when it's not incorporated into the flow of the scene as is often done in good Rider seasons. It's always made me feel very unwelcome, as if the show was deliberately telling me to skip these scenes since I wasn't the target demographic. Blazar choosing to go back to the show's roots and do away with this aspect is the reason why I felt like I've finally started to truly enjoy watching Ultraman again after such a long time.

    i just finished blazar and omg ngl dont kow how people think this was entertaining to watch this was so boring to get through the story was so un eventful I mean they did through in that v99 bs but honestly that was boring firdan coming out of no where no explanation no origin or hints to where blazar came from at least with trigger and decker there was a stronger story and plot was moving not the last two 4 episodes throughout the series this was a drag bro new other ultramans showing up once that sword alien popped up i was like finally something interesting seems like its about to happen but no one episode yea this was not it

    • @JanNJerryFilms

      I feel like since this was more of an experimental show and they were just testing things out to see if viewers liked it or not. For instance, some shows had a very kid-friendly tone while others not so much. That’s why a lot of the show was episodic in nature, but a little too episodic at times that it didn’t focus on the plot as a whole. It could have a stronger plot if it was done correctly. That’s would probably be my main criticism for Blazar

    I've enjoyed Blazar more than the previous two shows. Trigger and Decker lean so heavily on the shows they're honoring they almost have no identity of their own. Trigger is modern day Tiga and if you pull out the elements that reference Tiga its empty.
    Z and Blazar have been great because they're their own series and have this element of originality that makes them memorable.
    The people who hate Blazar because they didn't get their next gen Gaia series need to grow up and understand that the TDG era is gone and done. Let Ultra grow, stop hanging onto the past. Rider has evolved because of this, and Sentai is dying because they're terrified to let go.
