    The engine in this video has a TB crank mounted manual clutch with billet basket, and an IRK. The IRK allows the engine to gain and lose revs quickly. I found with this setup that the clutch hub was the weak link. I broke 3 clutch hubs. I next went with the Takegawa Special Clutch. This stopped the problems with clutch failure but now the engine was hard to control with no flywheel weight. So I went back to a stock flywheel/ignition and have liked it a lot. Been running that way for 3 years now.

    It catches gas from the carb vent/overflow. It's just a bottle that some 2 stroke oil came in.

    As stated in the video, it is custom painted. I printed the logo on sticky paper, stuck it on the cover, cut it out like a stencil with an x-acto knife, then painted with high temp spray paint. It is just a stock Honda cover under the paint. My PM username is arlindsay1992.

    Yes, quite a bit. If you ship me an original XR75 swingarm in good condition, I'll cut, weld, and modify it as necessary to fit a Z50R. The service will cost you $80 which includes return shipping (~$20). Message me for details. I can also strip paint and prep for a finish of your choice.

    top end and crank performance engine parts

    I think they are great the way they come. You might want to add thicker oil and the seals are junk. Replace them with CRF70 seals when they blow.

  • @TheAlexManVideos

    There is debate over whether it actually does anything. I believe that it allows the motor to gain and drop revs quicker because of less pressure buildup in the motor. For $25 I don't think it's much of an issue if it doesn't do anything. Do whatever makes you happy.

  • @TheAlexManVideos
    @TheAlexManVideos  15 ปีที่แล้ว

    I can't ride it around home. Honestly If I go over 1/8 throttle, it's too loud. I am barely ever able to open it up. Hopefully, I'll be able to ride at some race tracks this summer/fall.

  • @TheAlexManVideos
    @TheAlexManVideos  14 ปีที่แล้ว

    With the setup you listed, you'll be able to cruise at 45 or 50 with gearing. I'd suggest getting the race head and 20mm carb also. It's worth it. As for jetting, I suck at it. Sorry, but you'll have to figure that out on your own.

    It's just a cyclometer for a bicycle. Any good bike shop should have a selection of them.

  • @TheAlexManVideos
    @TheAlexManVideos  15 ปีที่แล้ว

    So much more torque and power. I can pull wheelies in first, second, and third gears just by rolling on the throttle. This is with a 4 inch extended swingarm. It still pulls super hard in fourth gear. The 88 kit only wheelied in first.

    It's one of those tiny bottles of two stroke oil.

  • @TheAlexManVideos
    @TheAlexManVideos  14 ปีที่แล้ว

    I have a 70cc bike that will just touch 55mph and that's with a stock 50cc head. This bike will probably touch 65mph with gearing but it's geared for the track so I'd guess that 40mph is about right. This bike is back to 88cc now though, the 108 was too much power for the clutch to handle.

    will like a piranha motor or like an ssr fit in the z50s

  • @TheAlexManVideos
    @TheAlexManVideos  12 ปีที่แล้ว

    Yes. You need to cut it at the mounting points to make it fit the frame. You also need to remove extraneous mounts and weld a tab for the brake drum stopper. If you ship me an original XR75 swingarm I can do all the modifications for $50 + return shipping.

    PC sells it for $264. I got it for $230 from Dennis Kirk so it's a much better deal. Go to Dennis Kirk's website and search 4H79050 on the right side.

    I'm using a 24mm. Seems to work good. I haven't taken it out on a track yet. You can also run a 20mm for more low end if you are riding trails or a tight track. I chose the 24 because it was the cheapest option.

    The fast reving of the engine, is it due to your special clutch or due to an inner rotor? or something else? plz respond :)
    thanks

    Flame outs are not embarrassing to me. Thats hot engine and thats physics. You did nothing wrong other than the fact that it could have started first go! Nerdy response yes :)

    Some will say yes, some will say no. I've seen pictures of cast clutch baskets that exploded. It's not something I want to deal with. Also, the IRK that I'm running for the ignition allows the RPM's to build and drop a lot faster which some say contributes. I no longer use this clutch, I now have a Takegawa special clutch.

  • @TheAlexManVideos

    A lot comes from Honda Trail Bikes. AHP Minis did some port work on the head and sold me some other bits like my Taky clutch. Used parts came from forum members on PlanetMinis. Dennis kirk for some other small bits.

    Hey dude.. I see you use no oil cooler. Do you ride your bike hard?
    Cuz I would really love to be able to not use a oil cooler on my CRF50.. (Got 88RH kit, and planning to upgrade to 108)
    But when I ride my bike I usually ride tracks so I use my bike pretty hard..
    Any recommandations or experiences? Thanks :)

    There's barely any aftermarket for those engines. You'd be better off buying a different bike to build.
