Kids needs to go see LEGO movie or how to train your dragon over this crap
Im gonna be forced to watch this movie with my little sisters tomorrow. Cause my mom needs to get some. But her excuse is shes just putting a desk together and she needs some alone time. Does she think im stupid.
Lego 2 was disappointing!! It was ok overall! 6.5 out of 10. How to train your dragon 3 was worst out of the 3. I love the first how to train your dragon!! Second was solid. But 3rd was very ok. Ending was very well done! But the side characters sucked in HTT part 3 wow. Villian kind of was shit and annoying ! This movie looks bad !! Wonder park lol

Wonder Park feels like the kind of mild attraction that younger kids might enjoy when it hits secondary platforms. It's just not an adventure that's worth the price of a ticket or standing in line to see.

Whenever I think about this movie, it just feels like a soulless project. The voice acting is good, the animation and music are very good, the story is fine, but overall it feels like all those things are rapped around an empty shell. This movie is fine on a technical level but its missing any real heart or soul to keep you that engaged.
Would you think this would be at least more tolable then Igor, Free Birds or Leap?

I was dissapointed. It had so much potential! The writing was really lazy, but the art and animation was okay. I didn't like how they forced a ship, or tried to shove a lesson down our throats
I thought it was really cute. As a lifelong fan of both animated movies and amusement parks, this movie was admittedly hitting a lot of my weak points from the start, but I was pleasantly surprised that it had a good bit going for it dramatically and it was nice to see a kids movie where the protagonist doesn't have their focus taken away by annoying side characters (and I'll take "bland and forgettable" over "Minions-levels of incessant annoyance" any day).
Split Banana right, because the annoying chimpanzombie things were NOTHING like the minions at all

Love your reviews dude! The fact that there is still no credited director(s) on this movie baffles me. I know the circumstances regarding the original director but regardless of that this movie did not direct itself. Whether the film is good or bad the people that ultimately put this together deserve the credit
So it’s the animated version of the Johny Knoxville Movie from last year?...
This was Illion Animation's second major animated film. Ilion Animation worked on Planet 51. That movie came out ten years ago, and I remember it being very mediocre and scored very low on many scales. This was a brand new animation firm and as a result of it's first movie being so poorly received, they struggled to stay afloat for years. Now they're back with a brand new movie to try and make a name for themselves, essentially a second chance and... welp, Wonder Park failed to deliver too. Such a shame. I'm a sucker for roller coasters and theme parks so seeing this movie do bad is unfortunate, but I have yet to see it myself, so I won't give any further opinion.

you know why the setting seems out of place in this current time? because the original idea was conceived and approved years before kids became indoor hermits. some movies are in production for nearly a decade. so when this was released, the timing unfortunately happened to be too late for it to be relevant and relatable to audiences.

There's a good movie in Wonder Park. I repeat, there's a good movie in Wonder Park, but it's ruined by this ADHD acid trip! My head was legitimately spinning for a full hour when I left the theater. To make things worse, I had to see the 3D screening because it's the only one they were playing at night for some reason. On one hand, I respect how original and gutsy this movie is. Predictability is definitely NOT this movie's problem! However, that doesn't make it good. This seriously feels like someone originally wanted to pitch this as a mini-series to Nickelodeon, and they couldn't land it, so they just said "Screw it! Let's just make it a movie!" and they just crammed the whole thing into an hour and a half. Then, somehow, the studio noticed them and gave them a theatrical release. The pacing in this movie is awful! And it's a shame because I really do like the story and some of the scenes. However, it doesn't change the fact that this movie is a complete mess!

jaggin 75 You got me! It was well worded so I just decided instead of writing a whole new review that literally said the exact same thing, I would just repost this one. It’s still my words either way, and I still wrote the entire thing out originally (no I didn’t copy off some random person, that is my rotten tomatoes account), so I don’t think it matters.
That’s funny, when I saw the first trailer I wanted to see it, but since then I have had zero interest. My moms actually taking my son to see it tomorrow, I warned her, but she’s still down. I keep getting the fun movies, took him to How to Train Your Dragon 3 a few weeks ago, I’m definitely taking him to the Pokémon movie. Meanwhile, she took him to see the recent LEGO movie and she HATED it. Grammy’s are the best, I really really hope she at least enjoys it more than the LEGO one 😊. The premise looks cool, but all I want to see is the amusement park, other than that zero interest.

(i'm from germany) And i was really excited for this movie for month, because i was expecting a "find your inner self" story, because i lost my motivation to be creative too (i lost myself). I wanted to see, how June manage this huge "mountain" of forlorness and depression. But this movie was so dissapointing. They could make so much more about the whole story. Why? Just why they can't write a good story, with heart warming- and cry-your-eyes-out plots? And MOST of it: Why they can't write a good story? I don't get it. It's so sad.
First time to the channel. Great video I heard this movie was a dissapointing and like you said about the marketing I didnt know it was released this weekend even though I saw the trailers more than a few times before.
It is crazy them firing the director or not knowing the situation behind him but I dont much about it so I wont speak on that.
I was interested at first but I knew this film was going to feature a generic "imaginative" story so I am not surprised at what I'm hearing. I dont know why kids animated stuff has to be either colorful and ADHD like appealing and their live action stuff being weird, posing trends, and ugly, boring and slow.
It is also weird the title of the film is not the name of the very park she made. I think it's better than Wonderland which is a generic name for a park in the first place.
Wonder Park (the name) is more interesting to me and it is something a kid her age would say. The animal characters were all comic relief is what I hear and the kids were just there. Tag along kid and all the stereotypes with that plus the over the top math camp to have her despise it.
Yeah all of the pieces of the movie sound predictable and it's a shame , Nick wants to make a TV show out of like all of their original animated movies. This franchise is not looking good for a wide audience.

While I can see kids enjoying this movie,I think on principle they deserve better than this. If I had a kid I’d first take them to LEGO Movie 2 or How To Train Your Dragon 3 before this.
First teaser actually looked interesting. Talking animals in the second trailer ruined the whole concept

By the way if you go to the official trailer on the Paramount channel, the start of the trailer is so dumb! It repeats the EXACT same line in a row! Seriously check it out, it is really dumb! And actually the whole trailer is also really badly edited!
That’s because the beginning was an intro to the trailer, and not part of the actual trailer. Which really makes no sense to do
Matthew Mertens I know that but it just seemed odd since the same line was in two completely separate scenes of the trailer. I really think trailer intros are dumb, they are pointless! I guess it would be ok for a movie such as Endgame or another big movie, so it could increase hype for like 3 seconds, but not for Wonder Park!!! Someone please destroy trailer intros!!!

I wish it’s better. The movie looks so nice but the plot is bad. Really not for teen and above at all. Some scenes are unnecessary for story telling.

I agree when you heard the monkeys saying my dead brother and that terrified me. And the part when the bus leave June was bothering me from most of the film. then I heard a curse like what the... but then it sounded like they edited that because they probably had said the f bomb and edited saying chunk. I'm 13 years old btw. Anyway the characters are boring, the story feels so similar, a few moments bothered me but most of them were solid and solid jokes but overall dull boring and annoying. ❌30%

This is a over budget pilot that nickelodeon made like jimmy neutron and barnyard, this has been done before.
Going to watch a movie expecting to not like it is not a good idea I liked the movie for what is was and to me the parallels between the real world and wonderland was cool and the fact that fixing wonderland was like her fixing her depression and being a person that was a creative kid that was fun to watch and if the make a second movie I would love for the boy to go to wonder land too
i saw this today too. haven't watched your review yet. animated movies are one of my main things and i didn't care for this too much. visually thought it was ok, kind of a nice story but seemed totally messed up otherwise. i thought this was on par with gnomes of last year lol. the pace sometimes was nutso fast. and i think if i had little kids any more and brought them i'd be pissed off at what they were showing the kids doing a few times?
After watching the lego movie 2 and feeling so...SO disappointed, I can't take a second "meh" animation movie. Pass. Thank you Austin! :)
