White Feathers are a British soul-pop acoustic duo consisting of talented singer/songwriter Kelly Rickard and accomplished guitar player Nick Rickard.
Based in Heaton, Newcastle, they have played in some of the North East’s most prestigious live music venues.
Kelly has worked as a performer for 15 years, touring Europe with sell-out shows and various musicals. She has played many of the UKs biggest venues, including Newcastle’s own City Hall and the Arena as one of the Sammyettes in the Sunday for Sammy Superband. She currently writes and performs her own comedy songs for the BBC Radio Show, Grin Up North.
Nick started playing guitar when he was just eleven years old. Earning his stripes from busking on the streets of Tynemouth with his father, uncle and cousin vocalist/violin superstar, Hannah Rickard (Status Quo). Over the years he has toured with some of the North East’s greatest exports including Martin Stephenson, Archie Brown and blues legend Ray Stubbs.
The pair are best known from performing together with party band, Kelly and the Sensations who were regularly featured in ‘Bride’ magazines, Top 10 Wedding Bands’.
