From a guy who is technically computer challenged and has a difficult time doing my emails I'm blown away by this. Great video. Love the variety of C&O steamers.
It was a good idea for including the c&o k4 kanawha some of there don't have whitewall wheels and thanks for including H-8 H-7 H-6 H-4 and j-3a greenbrier and make 600 double headed with k4 2740 2740 is my favorite k4 kanawha at 9:42
I'm not a huge train fan, but from what I can tell, this is a really well done video! Your camera angles were varying, but realistic; the film grain looks good, too, which does make this seem like a rather faithful recreation of films from this time period. The audio is, at least, from what I can tell, impressively realistic, and though the graphics of this game can be quite odd here and there--it definitely shows some age--the models look stunning! Knowing that a lot of these models are actually tweaked and tinkered with by *you* alone is pretty damn cool, and God man, I cannot tell you how proud I am to see you doing what you do best. While the video in-of-itself was very simple--just footage of trains--the quality of the video is amazing and the work you put into it is nothing short of inspiring. I'm very happy to see you kicking off your decade by wrapping up such an ambitious project, and I hope you keep this shit up! Much love, -Nick
Thanks brother! To give context to the realistic sound, train videos showcasing old footage tend to dub in sounds that are much higher quality. Although some do get the original sound in the footage (low quality and sometimes earrapey) and some do no sound at all. I’m not very experienced in audio editing currently so I decided to keep the in game sounds.
It was a good idea to make h-4 1479 at 27:15 and for making c&o k4 kanawha 2724 as 1479 help i did not know that c&o had helpers like H-8 H-4 and like k4 kanawha at 27:40
Thats the difference between any kind of 2-8-2 and 2-8-4 and plus the difference between the c&O K2 s the k&l train and the other has a different whistle
Hey there, just follow my timestamps in my pinned comment. If you're looking for the locomotive it's Trainz DLC and costs around $20 on steam iirc, I just modified the sounds.
@@GMan9029 oh so it's the one I've already got from the trainz auran store? I really want to get trainz 2019 so I can get the better lighting system due to how dark the light is in a new era. Thank you for the help, cheers!

I used to use Videopad (which was used for this video) but I’ve since been looking for a new software. What I do is apply said old style filter and remove the black and white with flashing but keep the lines, I then add a blur effect and for some clips I keep the black and white.

20:34 Did you Kitbash A K-2 mikado There?
No that was already like that.
Nice one I like C&O
Hey K&L released the C&O mikado a week ago
I know, I won't be remaking the video just for that. Although I might buy sometime soon.
I Wish K&L would extend the range into £ currency, as I would like to get some.
Hello could I get a timestamp on where the h-8 from gwapo is at?

Wouldve liked to see more diesels but whatever
It's set in 1950, to my knowledge diesels were only used in switching and passenger trains at that time.
@@GMan9029 I know, just wouldve liked to see more E's and F's
I wouldn't.
