- The Southern Pacific Railroad had a pretty varied and distinguished steam locomotive roster for it's time. Whether that be the sizable AC-12 Cab Forward or the colorful Daylight painted engines, being called the most beautiful train in the world in some cases. In today's video we go back to basics once more, revisiting the ol' Railfanning in Trainz shtick. We're visiting the Southern Pacific Railroad in the late 1950s. From the aesthetically pleasing GS-6 to the heavy-duty AC-12 Cab Foward, we're gonna see quite a mix of trains today.

This is more like the late 1940s than late 1950s. If it was in the late 1950s, we'd see more diesels. In this video, all we see is one ABBA set of F units.
Yep, If it was in the mid 50's we'd see more diesels, I'm tired of 1950s railfanning only having steam engines. Diesels started taking over in 1937 so why aren't there any in the 50's

There was only one train with diesel power, and hardly to none of the freight cars had roller bearings. This is 1940s not late 1950s

Southern Railway not to my knowledge. As far as I know they only appeared in Daylight Orange, Red and Black and Wartime Black.
Southern Railway it’s a GS-6 and sp did have wartime gs-2 repaints
There was never a locomotive in lark colors. Diesel or steam.

I wanna get the SP S-2 4-10-2 but 15 BUCKS? No way Jose.
Disappointed I only see one set of diesel power... Whole railroads were Dieselized in the 50s, So why is there only one set of ABBA F units? What about E units? If it was the late 50's, most of the trains would be lead by diesels.
