Honest question because I'm planning a visit to Akita: why is a christian building the most important place in Akita city? Thanks in advance for the answer.

One of the most things I like about Japan is that every corner and every spot of it has it's own personality ✨

Absolutely! The big cities are great and all but I think it’s a bit of a shame that most visitors never make it to the lesser-frequented prefectures like those in Tohoku!

Can you use ICOCA card here? How is getting around?

Yep IC cards including ICOCA work no problem! The train access within the city itself is pretty limited as the stations are far apart. But there local buses you can use to get around as well

Wow, what an incredible journey through Akita City!
It's refreshing to see places like Akita highlighted. Senshu Park looks absolutely stunning, and I loved the glimpse of Kubota Castle.
Thanks for sharing your adventure with us! ✨
