- this is a copywriting skill, not a formula.
which means you must work for it.
my brain is cooked, YET AGAIN.
good night.
see you tomorrow.

i've been copywriting for awhile now.
you help connect things i already knew in some way
but in a nicer holistic(er), home cooked sort of way
i love watching the pieces fall together when i watch your videos
love to hear this - and appreciate the word holistic(er) lol
Thank you Ecom Daddy ❣
lol
I love how everything in the video just flows from a concept to an example and into concrete examples for buisnesses then actually further explaining the concept, the content is really good despite me not knowing a single thing about copywriting while in my early stages of creating a Software agency buisness. Keep up the work it's great tho
really appreciate the comment - and im excited for your software agency business to get some steam and see you use these concepts
Excellent insights as always! 🙏🏻
The great Dave Trott also believes permission is a key ingredient as well…
“Every purchase decision is a combination of ‘desire’ and ‘permission’.
Without those two elements nothing happens.
If you want to buy something, but you can’t justify it in any way, you don’t buy it.
If you can justify buying something, but you don’t want it, you don’t buy it.
It’s that simple.”
damn - that's well put and i wish i thought of it lol
writing has translated to my design skills in really great unexpected ways. it hasn't changed my ideas but instead evolved the ways I communicate said ideas.
I'm so happy to hear that! You're going to go a long way
Really appreciate this. I knew many of the things but getting back into Econ having one place to hear it all and communicated in such a relaxing way is top notch.
1. Create desire build trust
2. Show, Don’t tell
3. Write the (manufacturing) process of your product in detail
4. Take out key benefits and use them in your copy to persuade your prospects
For almost a 10-minute video, this serves a LOT! I am struggling to understand copywriting, I read blogs online, watched videos here and other platforms but sometimes, I find it hard to understand. It feels like I understand them but I can't explain them. But this guy, right here, tells it on point! And more on examples and explanations.
Thank you for thorough examples and explanations. This really helps a new copywriter like me. 👏👏👏
thank you man, im so glad to hear you're on your copywriting journey.
Stick at it, find the people you love to learn from, keep practicing and it will set you free
@@EcomSoup thanks man. And keep on having the vibes on your videos, it's quite refreshing and relaxing. It feels like talking to a friend who came from a long journey to share their adventures. 👏
This channel is so fucking good, honestly!
Not only is the creative prowess of these vids on point...
but your experience, David, is so powerful.
Really refined knowledge with an abundantly authentic approach.
It's such a breath of fresh air you not pussyfooting around the grind and art of the craft.
And, yeah, pizza is sick.
Blessings from Adelaide.
✌️
haha thank you so much man, i really appreciate it!
Thank you Sir
Oh man, I am so utterly grateful for all your copywriting content you put out. They have so much value and delivered in such an authentic and actionable way. Literally golden nuggets of wisdom from a clearly experienced and talented copywriter. I'm so fanboying over this channel, always look forward to when a new video drops. You guys are awesome, thank you.

Your channel is so unique, thanks for uncovering these little blind spots that matter!
thank you! I really appreciate this comment
Sooo good I’m gonna share with my whole team to take our comms to the next level 💛
nice hazzy - get that 10% conv rate lol
@@EcomSoup the goal is 16% haha
Related to this, I’ve seen a number of brands that provide very open organic content in to how the business is run and how the products are created and it all plays in to what you’re saying here. They bring people on the journey and it creates more value, trust, connection etc in the brand it’s so powerful!
yeah 100% - we were just talking about this today. How some brands entire social media presence is "BTS"
Just incredible so much gold here man! 💪🙌 That’s something I always need to work on showing not telling.
keep practicing it and it will change your writing like no other
Superb. Concise etc.....
thanks man!
So good. Letting these concepts marinate in my mind while I walk to the beach here in Barcelona 🌞
that's quite the scene for contemplation
Bro this information is insanely helpful, thank you so much. Using this right now for my new products!!
awesome man - hope you crush it!
Another gem that needs to be bookmarked!
awesome!
This channel is growing faaaast
we're starting to move!
My new favorite thing to watch on youtube: ecom soup
thank you brother
Painfully satisfied!
lool
@@EcomSoup ???
you never fail to give the most profound insights 🤩
haha thanks man, glad they're helping
Great examples! As a designer, I always speak with images. I have to learn to speak with mental images.
perfect, i have a feeling your designs will improve as well
GEMSSS
thank you!
👌🏼
Big takeaway here for myself: Find details to create desire and trust.
100% what are you working on atm George?
@@EcomSoup Working through some family issues right now. After that, I probably gotta level up my design skills, because it’s hard to find work with just copywriting skills. Gonna try to become a marketing unicorn!
Loved the tomato pizza analogy with the (G)oat cheese! 😉😄
lol!
I connect with defining transaction as "money exchanged from promises that is trusted".
to make people give you money, you have to give them a reason to. that is by having promises and to make them believe that it is likely true.
show don't tell. by adding details, we can give people an impression that we know what we do. and build rapport of that. build trust.
i believe this is the selling part of copy. how to make good offers that convert.
well put soup 😁
anyway i notice that the flowers keep changing. are you choosing the flowers theresa? lovely choices.
fantastic summary pan
(and welcome back).
the flowers are Robyn's doings
@@EcomSoup Lovely choices Robyn
Who else couldn't stop laughing at Nonno's Tomatoes 😂😂😂😂😂
🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
Bro, I would love a copywriting class or course from you
haha - maybe one day
Heard 🖤
how's it going?
@@EcomSoup Awesome. Implementing this has made is so much more compelling
Where I'm from tomatoes are euphemisms for balls.
Stay away from my pizza Nonno!
haha!
Launch a course on copywriting and I'll be the first buyer lmao
lol - part of me wants to drop a free email copywriting course
@@EcomSoup Yes please! 🤞
@@EcomSoup OMW, that would be legit FIRE!!!! I'm going through an email copy course right now, you guys are literally inspirational when it comes to copy and how you care for your customers. I love it😍
@@EcomSoup So fuck the other part of you that's telling no and go ahead with the first one lol
@@EcomSoupyo you should. Fuck an edit even. Lol
Please don't stop from creating content
thanks man lol
so if I learn copywriting, starting an E-com brand will be easier?
Start the brand and learn on the go. Project based learning and failure are the best.
it will be much easier if you learn copywriting first. But you can learn it by starting an ecom brand... there's just more moving parts to ecom
David, I cannot put into words how much value I've gotten from your videos.
I know you're not a guru or anything, but is it possible to hop on a quick Zoom call? I'm sure you get lots of these types of comments. But I feel like you could genuinely change my life with just a few minutes of your time.
thank you brother!
maybe one day
Does anyone have any advice for design softwares? Should I just start with Canva? The more serious I get with copywriting the more I've come to the realization that design is unavoidable. David, I really appreciate the videos brother.
Thanks man - we do everything outside of packaging / product design on canva...
it's really great for graphics despite what the design snobs say.
@@EcomSoup i'm a designer and we need software like figma or sketch, but: canva is awesome for people like you. they bought affinity software recently and i've been using that for the last 4 years. love what they are doing and i'm rooting for them. competition is healthy.
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
how did you afford to fail for 5 years? were you doing ecom/ agencies full time or it was just side hustles at the time
a mixture between little wins here and there, getting an unemployment cheque, and some failures were still making money but robbing the soul of all its goodwill
I'm struggling to make my Ads Profitable
I have tried multiple creative
multiple copies
But I still loose money
Any Advice on how to be profitable before starting to Scale ?
it would depend on many factors - product / market / angle etc
@@EcomSoup Currently the way I'm able to pay for those Ads is because of Re-Orders I'm getting ftom Old customers & The referals I'm getting from them
When its come to Product It's not bad
Since I'm Getting referals
The Market Very Niched
And The Angle I don't kow that much
A video Deep diving into Angles and the Etc Will be appreciated
And any advice I take
I still have in mind the video SIMPLICITY SCALE
So thanks
Ledj!
Honest question: where/how can i learn copywriting?
Start with reading the book ‘read me.’ It’s a great start
nice
Binging watching your videos. Smoothing Voice. How can we join your email list?
How can I improve?
practice!
For example your water brand I wouldn't buy it for the reason that it is: enhanced mushrooms made in a lab. All those keywords for me sound like geneticaly modified.
Maybe it's because I like my water natural wihtout much interference, if any way.
fair point!
Not liking this video so the ops can’t find this channel
lool
I want nonnos tomatoes (not gay)
hahahaha
