I have been lucky to see some really talented musicians in concert...Alison Krauss, Don Williams, Willie Nelson, Sturgill Simpson, Jason Isbell, Lionel Richie, Chris Stapleton, just to name a few. I saw the Cleverly’s play last fall and I have never been more entertained. The mix of comedy, creativity, instrumentals, and vocals is truly unique. If you have a chance to see them live, do it!
Digger Cleverly "Paul Harris" was a stand up comic before hitting Nashville wide open with his musical genius snd dreaming up the group The Cleverlys. Even the accent is embellished, although he's originally from Arkansas.

The look was what made the whole thing Cleverlys work Now they changed way to much.
The virtuosity didn't hurt, and it's still there. I do miss VD on banjo. DVD has chops, but it sounds like he's taken it more "modern".
