As good as they are at what they do I really love it when they do an actual bluegrass song seriously. The level of talent by this group is under rated and should be all over Bluegrass Junction Sirius/XM radio.
The Cleverly's rendition of "Wait a Minute" is actually what fascinated me with them. It is a beautiful rendition of this song. The music, harmony and Paul Harris' (Digger's) voice... very soothing.
I freaking love their version of that song. They're the ones that introduced it to me. I've listened to bluegrass since I was a kid. But I somehow never happened upon that song until hearing these guys do it.
All songs basically are poems with music added. The Cleverelys play fine music indeed. Good thing I didn’t learn about them years ago or I’d never get anything according. Bet they could cover R & B also Marvin Gaye Sam Cooke The Temptations~
Lloyd is kickin' it! Literally! Singing, doing a capella voice inflections, playing bass, and kicking the bass drum. Very talented! Must be the name....I don't like to be called (La) Loyd either!

Thanks for noticing. Master Fiddler at age 19, Bachelors in Bluegrass, and Masters in Jazz Fiddle Performance at Norway Music Academy. Classical study as well. He tours with a Norwegian Swing Band.

This was an incredible performance, and the sound quality is amazing. The performances are even better than the studio-recorded CD, IMO. More inventive and exciting. The fiddler in particularly just gets better and better as the set goes on. These guys are elite musicians at the top of their game, and the comedy works.
Been checking out the whole Cleverlys youtube catalog for a day, or two. Very cool mashup of comedy and gangsta' type grass. The newish alien wife story is just way damn' funny. Now I want an alien girl to teach me ahow to probe, whatever that is...lollipop
I'm kicking myself for not going to riverhawk tonight, wherever that is. I was driving around Fri afternoon, running errands, droppong stuff off at the thrift store, pumping gas, etc, listening to the Cleverlys live on wmnf and laughing my ass off!!!
What the heck happened to the cleverlys, it ain't the same no more it's like they sold out so they can make more money. There's a lot to be said for sticking to your roots. And yes I know Digger cleverly is actually a comedian and he doesn't live in a band and his name's not cleverly.

I stumbled upon the Cleverlys on YT doing 'Walk like an Egyptian' (Bangles) a few months back. Been hooked ever since.
These men are so good, we have trouble believing our eyes & ears.

The older members stopped touring, and retired. What’s the problem? These are some fine musicians.
