Nowhere in the bible have I seen it say that He is the mediator for only 144,000. ***** Yes everything you said was true. I was never officially a witness but was raised in it. I have some family on both sides in it. Thankfully most have come out. Including my 90yr old grandma who faded in her late seventies. I asked her last week, how did she ever believe the JW org was the only true religion when her non JW sisters were such good people? Did she believe all those years that her sisters would be killed just for not being JWs? She said she NEVER believed JWs were the only people that would get saved. We laughed so hard! I think a lot of JWs don't believe a lot of their silly doctrines. They just think it's the best religion they've encountered. Of course they stay in for fear of shunning like you mentioned.

Beautifully executed. I 've seen this video a number of times now and have come to realize that no amount of facts is going to change their minds. Yes, you can lead a horse to water but you cant make it drink. These video's will certainly have more of an affect on people who may be thinking about joining and doing research on the internet. Interesting, I noticed that too. I now try to pre-empt the question by establishing first that the “What Does the Bible Really” book instructs us “never to stop asking questions...” then when they ask the purpose of my questions I go back to the Watchtower admonition “never to stop asking questions...”. I suggest that the questions exist regardless of whether I articulate them or not and they might want to have answers ready for the next person who comes along with the same questions.
For the most part , they are victims, but it gets frustrating when they refuse to discuss what's right in their face! Exactly. This does not even have to be the reading and referencing of their old publications. If you bring up difficult questions even using their current publications they'll say you need to, 1., do more 'research', or 2., ask the JWs for a 'free home bible study'. Anything beyond that and they'll shut down communications immediately.

Then: In the same publication, Select the topic "Jehovah's Witnesses" have the JW read to you entry #8 Then: In the same publication, Select the topic "Last Days" have the JW read you the definition "Last Days" from their own website In all 3 of those locations, the promise is reiterated that the 1914 generation "will by no means pass away until all these things occur". sit back and watch their brains tighten up. I think I found it. pp.255, 2nd paragraph within the section entitled, "Choose Eternal Life in Paradise on Earth". All of the other requirements seem to be in chapter 15, starting on pp.127.

Yes, they ALWAYS ask "where did you get that information?" Frustrating, very frustrating. Trying to have a civil, adult back and forth conversation is impossible. I've found, for me, informing non witnesses about the the "truth about the truth" is where I may be of help to save someone from being sucked in as i was.The mind control is so evident, the cognitive dissonance obvious as the witnesses are presented with information that they know they cannot refute. Another common response from them, "what is your purpose?" Defensive, attack the "householder," All part of the cult training. And they never seem to have heard of the Australian Royal Commission investigating child abuse or the lawsuits against Watchtower.

I now try to pre-empt the question by establishing first that the “What Does the Bible Really” book instructs us “never to stop asking questions...” then when they ask the purpose of my questions I go back to the Watchtower admonition “never to stop asking questions...”. I suggest that the questions exist regardless of whether I articulate them or not and they might want to have answers ready for the next person who comes along with the same questions.

Select the topic of "Dates" -> have the JW read you the last sentence of the last paragraph under the subheading CALCULATING THE “SEVEN TIMES”.
Then:
In the same publication, Select the topic "Jehovah's Witnesses"
have the JW read to you entry #8
Then:
In the same publication, Select the topic "Last Days"
have the JW read you the definition "Last Days" from their own website
In all 3 of those locations, the promise is reiterated that the 1914 generation "will by no means pass away until all these things occur".

I think I found it. pp.255, 2nd paragraph within the section entitled, "Choose Eternal Life in Paradise on Earth". All of the other requirements seem to be in chapter 15, starting on pp.127.

Yes, they ALWAYS ask "where did you get that information?" Frustrating, very frustrating. Trying to have a civil, adult back and forth conversation is impossible. I've found, for me, informing non witnesses about the the "truth about the truth" is where I may be of help to save someone from being sucked in as i was.The mind control is so evident, the cognitive dissonance obvious as the witnesses are presented with information that they know they cannot refute. Another common response from them, "what is your purpose?" Defensive, attack the "householder," All part of the cult training. And they never seem to have heard of the Australian Royal Commission investigating child abuse or the lawsuits against Watchtower.

I studied for awhile till they started busting my chops for wearing a hoodie that said GOT JESUS! Well that was about the time that the wife of the circuit overseer was studying sigh me and she had my phone trying to get me on jW,.org and stumbled upon a Mike + Kim video talking about their affiliation with the United Nations. That was pretty neat it happened that way 😂 I was floored and never studied with them again!
Since then I really immersed myself into studying various translations of the Bible and not their bastardized bible. I have never felt so close to Jesus, I got saved and I try to share the Gospel with people who are lost. I share my testimony with people (you wouldn't believe the physical battles I've been through). And only Jesus could get me through that!
