Great Video. You really have to do EVERYTHING. This would explain why the insert was unbearable on its own. Your video proved that, so Thanks! You saved me the trouble. I will be installing the ECS insert for the dogbone and replace the engine and transmission mounts with the O34's.
I had 034Motorsport engine and transmission mounts in my MK6 GTI. They did introduce quite a bit of NVH and to be honest I hated it. I initially thought the shop installed them incorrectly. It felt like and sounded like a diesel truck. I ALSO had the BFI polyurethane insert but the NVH wasn’t bad before the new mounts. I think 034Motorsport makes fantastic products and I don’t really fault them for what I experienced in NVH. I just purchased their upper and lower inserts and will also be installing a TB Performance Torque Gusset Traction brace. The latter almost completely eliminates wheel hop, torque steer and changes in caster and toe under hard acceleration, braking and cornering (even without dogbone upgrades) and doesn’t introduce any additional NVH. I think a brace that eliminates excessive movement of the lower control arm mounting points is extremely overlooked in eliminating wheel hop and unwanted changes in caster from excessive deflection of lower control arm bushings and subframe. 👍
The inserts and brace are for my MK7 GTI. I’m trying to avoid issues I had with my MK6 (hopefully). Anytime you introduce 350 lbs./ft of torque you have to reinforce a lot of things!
Thanks, this was very very helpful. I own a '16 GLI SEL 2.0 GEN3 in silver and I use it as our family car. Your mods seem to align with my interests too, because I want fun, but comfortable ride and not to annoy my wife or kids. Haha Question though, I see you have the ECS front lip and rear valance, do you have aftermarket side skirts on in this video?
Thanks for watching! I wish us GLI owners would get a little more love in car culture like the GTI owners do. Great fun car. As for my side skirts, no, just stock ones. I asked when they were developing the front lip and rear diffuser if they had plans for side skirts as well and they said “no” 😔
@@MereMortalsAttempt I know right!? As far as the side skirts that's a bummer 😕 do you think the rear valance made a difference in looks to your car? I have so many questions for you, because I'm just now starting down this 'modding' path just like you have and I want to stay in contact. Do you have an Instagram that I can follow and chat with you over?
The rear valance looks great. It’s a pretty noticeable change over stock. As to instagram I’m meremortalsattempt. I don’t have much content there mainly because I’m old and out of touch with social media. 🫤
About the most intelligent positive/negative capture of this information, I have come across. Well spoken! Covering what a user needs to know 👍

Your content is hilarious, keep em coming
Hi, thanks for the information, so you just kept the factory rubber pucks insert inside the aluminum billet ?
Yep.
