Thanks Beloved Ayomi for this wonderful video that increases our understanding of each other and makes us appreciate each other more. About music, after watching TH-cam videos and other social media pages I've come to the realization that Kenya is the only African nation that heavily embraces Pan Africanism if the love for African music is a benchmark to go by. Kenyans have been raised to appreciate good music from any part of the world be it from Africa, Caribbean, US or Europe. Tanzanian, Congolese and South African music are definitely some of the most popular music in Kenya, Nigerian music just came into picture recently. Good music is timeless and doesn't have a shelf life and stays forever in our souls. So for Kenyans music is there to be enjoyed not changed as a fashion item
Swahili is an important language that is taught in Universities in Europe and North America. Many people in Africa struggle to learn languages like Italian, German, Dutch etc that are spoken by less people than Swahili. I am glad the following countries have started teaching Swahili in high schools. South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Zambia, Malawi, Zimbabwe and Mozambique

The tea part😂 when I tell my foreign friends how we Kenyans love tea they always ask why? Now see how you guys easily adapted to having tea? By the way, the beans, you have to cook them by yourself if you want soft ones. Soak them for a while then use pressure cooker. They will be very soft.
One thing you should understand about rent, it's absolutely optional, you can decide to pay monthly which is the most famous option, 6months,1yr,2yrs it just depend on your budget
In Kenya if you pay rent per year, the Landlord will not refuse, they will be very very happy. Its like giving them a loan. So yes, you can pay per year in Kenya, but Kenyans will not.
In music, the English theory could be true. But Kenyan music for the most part is a mix of English and Kiswahili.only Tanzanians sing in Kiswahili only..I honestly believe us Kenyans just have an ear for good music. Most of us grew up listening to Congolese music that doesn't even have an iota of English and enjoy it and we can actually sing along to them..Music from any part of the world will be listened to by Kenyans as long as it's good music..Nice video
As a driver, in kenya the worst thing you can do is drive a car with no insurance, forget about an accident, the traffic police will have your ass for breakfast lunch and dinner 😂😂😂😂 You'll notice them at traffic lights when all the cars have to stop and bossman walks by checking all the windshield insurance stickers on display. They'll get you. You won't drive around more than a few weeks before your time is up 😅😅😅😅
Yes in Kenya it’s easy for the police to see…. And especially you are a foreigner and you don’t do your insurance just forget he’s gone… thanks for the comment
12:35 this thing of rent is rubbish just calculate the house rent by time you want to stay .......and give it to the landlord....abi? Why is it an issues
The reason why we pay monthly is that you can relocate to another place anytime you want or if you are not comfortable in a particular apartment but you pay even one year in advance but we prefer monthly
Question: if you want to pay yearly rent in Kenya, would the landlord stop you? If anything, I think the landlord would be very happy. So I think paying monthly gives you the option of paying yearly, but paying yearly doesn't give you the option of paying monthly
For the landlord coming to your room, he got very right to do so if you have already informed him you leaving and expecting your rent in advance. What if you killed someone and left a body in his house. You should have given back his keys 🔑 when u told him you leaving not your friend because your friend can come with the keys and do what they want 8n his house. Read a lot on property laws .....

@Beloved Ayomi the best part of swahili is that it doesn't really belong to anyone....that's everyone speaks it in east Africa without having to say it's my tribe's language like they do in other countries like our neighboring ethiopia and uganda.
Paying a year or two years rent upfront is way more expensive than paying monthly with deposit and this may keep most young Nigerians from getting their own rental space. Ghanians are already complaining about this system of rent that prevents their young adults from moving to their own houses due to the high initial cost of rent. On the positive side it induces a culture of saving money in order to raise a years rent

Why do Nigerians call it liquid milk. It's fresh milk straight from the cow. Not like mixing powder milk into liquid. Kenyans hardly ever use powdered milk. We use fresh milk.
😅 that’s what we grew up to know it as, so even though we know it’s fresh milk we hardly call it fresh milk instead we say “liquid milk” and then powder milk.
