I think It's a good idea to roll up the finished projects instead of folding them. Rolling will not leave a mark. Seeing all these beautiful Nora Corbett's finished or work in progress is like visiting an enchanted castle. Absolutely sublime

I love your new recording spot. Very organized! I also have the magnetic boards that I use to keep track of my patterns while stitching. Those edges can be a little sharp. I put Washi tape around them just so there are no accidents. Thank you for your tips on how you stitch your Mirabilias. I have my first Nora Corbett ready to go and appreciate the help. I roll my finished projects until I am ready to fully finish them. No lines. I happened to be in a flower shop when they ran out of paper that’s on a roll. No glue to worry about and they can be cut to size. 😊

Hello again Samantha 😊 As I mentioned in one of my comments I am planning to start my first Nora Corbett! I am a bit stressed and excited at the same time and I am trying to prepare everything I need for it. I love this part to be honest but there is something I can't make up my mind about and I thought that you are the best person, to ask about those patterns. So, I am actually kitting up two patterns, one is the letter "S" and the other one is "Zenia". Zenia has one kind and colour of beads, if you remember, and "S" has two colours of the same kind glass beads and one treasure (if I am saying that correctly). What I can't decide is if I should use the 11/0 beads or should I swap them with 15/0 petite ones. I've read, and also someone on Instagram said, that the petite ones fit better on a 32ct fabric. But what if the pattern will lose some of it's beauty if I'll use the petite ones, or if the analogy with the treasures will be off? Would you mind telling me your opinion and what you normally do? You are much more experienced with those patterns than I am. Also I've seen your projects and I really like them so your opinion would be much appreciated. Thank you very much 😊🧵🪡
👋 Hi!! Here is my best advice and how I have always stitched my Mira’s and Nora designs. I stitch on the called for 32ct/16ct fabric and purchase the called for size of kreinik braids and mill hill beads/treasures. The only time I have been worried about bead size is when selecting a 32ct hand dyed fabric… in this case I would select a 28ct fabric so there is more room for beads etc. We will be filming a flosstube very soon all about starting a Mira that I think you will enjoy watching. My first Mira was Garden Verses, started in about 1997, and I also love the older Miras. This was a fun episode seeing all the Mira’s. I’m currently stitching Mirabilia Tea. 2 ladies sitting at a table drinking a cuppa. I’ve never seen a flosstuber doing Tea. I’d love to see someone else doing it too. I also started a memorial Mira for my mother in law. Her bday is St Patrick’s day so I’m doing March Aquamarine Fairy.

I photocopy my entire chart and make a working copy. It allows me to join together the pages (when there are multiple) and also keeps the chart in good condition so I can give it away (or sell if you are into that).

Hi Samantha, loving your videos, they have been my stitching companions while I've been working on my huge Nora Corbett 12 Days of Christmas. My first Mira was Garden Verses, started in about 1997, and I also love the older Miras. They are my happy place....of course, I love the newer designs too :) Thank you for sharing your ideas and your work, it's great to have some inspiration xxx

This was a fun episode seeing all the Mira’s. I’m currently stitching Mirabilia Tea. 2 ladies sitting at a table drinking a cuppa. I’ve never seen a flosstuber doing Tea. I’d love to see someone else doing it too. I also started a memorial Mira for my mother in law. Her bday is St Patrick’s day so I’m doing March Aquamarine Fairy.
Great Mira choices !!! They are both excellent patterns and you are right I don’t see many who stitch them. It’s a big reason why I’m so passionate about Nora’s designs. More need to try them !! Thank you for sharing and joining me today. 😊

I photocopy my entire chart and make a working copy. It allows me to join together the pages (when there are multiple) and also keeps the chart in good condition so I can give it away (or sell if you are into that).
Adding that I destroy my photocopy when I finish.
