I’ll say it one more time and hopefully poof sees it this time. In order to rebound from a pow block, poof, you need to shake the wii remote when it crunches the third time. If you did it correctly, you’ll see some blue circles expand on the ground beneath you and you’ll stop spinning sooner and you’ll maintain some acceleration.
As a tip, Poofesure, when you fall off the map, you can try accelerating (Pressing 2) at the exact moment you touch the ground after lakitu saves you, that will give you a small boost
This is my favorite series so far. I hope he keeps uploading this game constantly until he gets so good he starts using Funky Kong and set some world records... Or at least until he learns how to wheelie lol
If only he would learn the simplest things like avoiding getting completely stopped by the POW. But maybe that's intentional because he gets more views with more raging 🤔🤔🤔🤔

You can dodge the pow block by shacking your Wii remote/performing a trick on the third beat of the pow. You can also perform a wheelie by doing it on the ground. It helps you go faster on straight aways if you’re ahead.

tips: when a pow happens, shake your controller up on the last hit when you get hit by a shell/bullet/star/anything that stops you completely, stand still and do a mini-turbo hold left/right on your dpad to hold a shell/banana behind you to block red shells dont try using a fake box to block shells, it doesnt work i would also try to not fall off
man seeing this game still being played brings me joy. this was the first game that lead me to love nintendo, and honestly despite this games age and flaws, it still lives up to be a good game for me

Poof you should hold right or left to hold shells behind you so you can’t be screwed. It’s more valuable than slowing someone ahead down for 2 seconds.

Also, while you're stopped, hold 1 and 2 on your wii remote to charge up a mini boost (until you see the blue sparks on your kart/bike). You can also do wheelies on bikes by flipping your wii remote up, as well as doing tricks on speed ramps, and ramps on both bikes/karts.

When the "pow" comes you can shake your remote, just like an aerial, you'll lose a lot less speed.

To hold something behind your back, you have to hold down the D Pad
