@Rusto It's not about which is "better". I like very much the various possibilities F2 offers (it is ahead of its time, maybe even more than F1), but, in my opinion, a game is a World. I said "magic" for a reason. F2 is awesome. It's arguably more fun. It has tons of improvements. But it's not "believable". I felt i was playing a videogame all the time, the opposite of F1. F1 is more deep and thoughtful, while F2 is more like a a satire (a great one) of almost everything.
@Rusto No. Yes the player has a lot more freedom but that came with the cost of immersion. For some reason they decided to make fallout 2 a lot more reliant on pop culture references and gave the game and overall much lighter tone. Fallout 1 is harsh, brutal and unforgiving and I am not talking about the gameplay. Fallout 1 really hammered home how brutal the wasteland was which already got watered down in the second game. Fallout 3 is just garbage. It has nothing remaining of what made the original fallout so amazing. From a gameplay perspective fallout 2 objectively superior. But in terms of immersion fallout 1 will always be the definitive way to experience this franchise.
@Rusto fallout 1 was dark, foreboding and realistic. Fallout 2 had talking deathclaws, giant heads with time traveling abilities and a comical atmosphere. Not very realistic. Fun but not better if looking for s post apocalyptic rpg
I know right, I think most players do the same until learning about that. So much easier dealing with the Khans and Radscorpions with a combat shotgun!
I just found your channel, and have been watching fallout videos for years and there are things in this video that I never knew. Keep going man, you've got true potential for bigger and better things.
As a person that been playing Fallout since 1997. I for one would love Fallout 1 and 2 to be re-made in a open world format. Sure I am open for the change of the mechanics of the games to change to a modern open world format, but as long as every single point of game play for each of the games to remain within the open world format.
That's not Ed in the military base cell. They just reused the sprite like they did with basically every sprite. Did you think the raiders were supposed to be packs of Ians? There were several other dead people from vault 13 aside from Ed scattered throughout the game, as well as the mutated vault dweller you meet in the boneyard. It was part of a whole thing where you're supposed to figure out that tons of people had been sent out to find a replacement water chip over the years. I'm not sure if some were supposed to have been successful and exiled like the main character is at the end of the game or if vault 13's water supply was never really compromised and it was just an excuse to get someone to check things out outside.
@@narcodium That's technically possible with at least some of the bodies because the devs were obviously trying to reuse resources as much as possible. At least one of them was supposed to be from Vault 13 though because the jumpsuit has a 13 on it and it would have been just as easy to use another number if the body was supposed to be from a different vault. I think the mutant at the Boneyard library makes it pretty clear that they're all supposed to be from your vault though. He was sent out on the exact same mission at least several years before you because he said the shotgun he was given when he left has been gone for years.
I've always chalked it up to the Enclave or the Zetans. Maybe, maybe the Chinese did it, but I think only in retaliation for biological attacks on China. Zhao seems pretty adamant he was ordered to retaliate, not conduct a first strike. And the prewar govt seemed hell-bent on dropping biological monstrosities all over China. I'd still lean towards Enclave or Zetans though, as they are both psychotic and have something to gain.
If you get yourself captured at mariposa and refuse to give your vault out at the interrogation they will put you in the cell where ed the skeleton is Of course they strip you out of everything but your jumpsuit And ed has a stimmy and a pistol Not sure what the devs intended with that one tho lol Also that movie plot sounds ridiculous Great content by the way 👍
I still Hope/Want for/a Fallout Movie or Series! and if it was Revealed that Valt-Tec caused the war... it would be a surprise... but not? an Expected Surprise! 🤣
As per the war, I was always under the impression Vault-Tek was the catalyst/reason...possibly even unintentionally... In the series, Pre-War Earth is pooched. Saudia Arabia ran out of oil/gas long ago & the war with the Chinese was largely over the last remaining/dwindling resources (this was the ENTIRE reason for the battle in Anchorage, Alaska/U.S. soil against China) Officially, Vault-Tek was comissioned by the U.S. Govt to prepare for the inevitable. Some were control vaults, most had an experiment as the theme. Some experiments were ridiculous/pointless, but many were not & the supposed reason was to see how Vault life would effect dwellers, so it's actually noble. Parallel to this, there is the Enclave & Brotherhood...both are U.S. Govt. Brotherhood are the Official Govt/military etc. Enclave are elitists, technically traitors (tho also pragmatic) & are a splinter faction/"shadow" Gov't who plan to use the remaining resources on the down-low to prepare to leave Earth/colonize a new planet for Enclave & Enclave ONLY, taking whats left with them & leaving everyone else to die. The Vault-Tek experiments were in fact largely to premeditate & safeguard the Enclave during their likely prolonged space travel (which makes the few cryo/VR Vaults make a bit more sense as well...stasis & ship/system op's). Vault-Tek was likely unaware (maybe Enclave in upper tiers, but doubtful) but is also an aweful/corrupt corporation (as they all are, RobCo etc, you name it - they were ALL doing crazy things...some flowed back to the Vaults/Enclave, others were still U.S. Govt/military but separate/not connected, more still were Co profit motivated, a couple were just pure evil intent) Now, there ARE also the Vault-Tek branded bombs that have been found in the wild in games...asset flip, or actual canon lore? Only Bethesda knows (for all this, honestly)... But here is the key issue, regardless ones view....be it super-villain-esque Enclave plan, just war being war & everyone is fresh out of a Norman Rockwell painting leaving the Boy Scout rally... The experiments THEMSELVES. ....HOW do you get a rat to run the maze with no cheese? Especially if the rat is comfy at home, watching the game or having family time/work in the AM & has no reason to even ENTER said cheeseless maze??? The obvious thing about the Vault experiments, is they ALL require dwellers. The dwellers will only likely move in if they are sheltering from a nuke (you SURE about that asset flip?), nvm needing the time to take place, in order for the results to be compiled/analyzed before any actual USE can even come of them. So a bomb (at LEAST 1, to cause initial panic) HAD to be dropped. Whether it was Vault-Tek, whether Enclave/U.S. Govt pulled the strings or were even aware or not, can't say/dunno...but that it HAD to happen is beyond a doubt YES. Maybe the idea was to outright go buck wild/head on war...unlikely tho (risk, time, etc...all against you there). Maybe China was panicked at the Anchorage loss/retaliation from it or just trying to keep momentum/pressure so nuked it (I only see this as a retreat option [in which, due to the dwindle they're dead anyway], as it would damage the prize they are after...more likely than U.S., but I still doubt it. POSSIBLY Vault-Tek on their own...but I also doubt it/would only see that w Enclave/U.S. Govt approval/co-ordination (like a false flag op, drop a dud [wouldnt want a U.S. marked one tho, & mb even if found Co could claim testing for a Govt contract convincingly enough - they DO work together but have separate inventories/equipment & facilities etc) There is also a line of thought Enclave did it (there IS an internal struggle in the Govt, as Enclave is a small %, there moves woupd all have a cover of plausible B.S. so they would be supported/carried out...like the Vault experiments cover story [& likely even program itself]/implementation, etc) - but they [& their intentions] HAVE been found out...perhaps they hit the button in panick, but they aren't ready to go interstellar yet, this would screw them & only ensure mutual destruction. I also don't think so. I have heard Zetans did it, even, but I dont think so, either. They have a Samurai all the way up to Anchorage troops/post-War people (Soma) & only recently became hostile AFTER the war (like they werent our friends from the start, but only really kidnapped people/took specimens until the War)...the SOLE purpose I can see for this is if the Zetans were also aware of the Enclave plan & wanted them confined to Earth rather than joyriding around their neighbourhood/galaxy. Even then, you would think theyd have better weapons/dont see why they would hijack the launch system. Oddly, Zetans are my 2nd most plausible option, if I had to pick. What I think MOST likely happened, was a false flag (be it Vault-Tek or U.S. Govt/military), wherein they dropped a bomb (possibly even a dud, maybe not) & either China saw this & decided to fire (fearing misperception/U.S. counter, or just opportunism), tho I doubt this, OR it was a malfunction in a country's (likely U.S.A. itself) eraly detection systems & the automated counter-attack was tripped, likely by accident/AGAINST the plan. Obviously, nearly ALL of this is speculative...but there is enough solid canon lore to back it up as plausible &, I think, the most likely scenarios. I vote Vault-Tek/U.S. itself or MAYBE Zetans (to counter Enclave) are responsible, in that order of likelyhood. Either way...if that's not it...explain the experimets & Vaults then (beyond surface level). Explain to me HOW one would expect rats to enter & run a cheeseless maze in order to collect the data/produce the results that are the entire POINT of said Vaults/experiments to begin with. I'll wait...I'd love to hear it, personally... Cheers all, I LOVE this stuff~
Me when the old funny vault overseer man kills the world, nice
Nice 👌
Fallout 2 is great, but Fallout 1 is just... magic.
I have yet to really experience fallout 2, but if it's anything like fallout 1 I know I'm in for a good time! 👌

@Rusto O shi-, I didn't know there was a separate process for gay marrying :O the more you know lol
erase my memory of me playing F1 and F2, so I can play it again.
Or just play it the exact opposite as you did when you first played it. Or if you've beat it a couple of times already, just go apeshit nuts lol
Okay I'll just get Benny to erase the memory from your head
never tought of waiting 1 day and come back, i usually return several days or weeks later

You're welcome 😁👍

Some modder are recreating all the fallout in the Fallout 4 engine. So we just have to hope that some of them manages to do it.
honestly, thank God the movie never happened cause that's such a shitty plot twist, ngl
6:58 i got jumpscared silently by the overseer lol

Zed was a dirty cop in the movie so a stimmy and a pistol is movie accurate. Pulp fiction is one of the best movies to date.
@@isoSw1ftyZed was a security guard, not a cop.
I haven't played 1 or 2, would love to though!
Just got recommend the Ghouls video. Gonna check out all the ‘classics’ content.
Do you also plan to make videos about Fallout 4?
Do a fallout dlc tier list
You already know Bethesda wanted to honor the movie script bc the a-bomb in Megaton has a vault tec insignia on it
i did the first one accidentally and got my shot gun that cleared rad scorpions with a breeze

They need to turn it into a show
The number itself 13 is either of good or bad luck. Like Friday 13th or Tuesday 13th. 😂
Fallout 4 hints that P.A.M being the one to cause the nukes. Tricking both sides basically.
Bad writing
Here to say we didn’t get a movie, but a TV series instead
Brooooooo 🤯🤯🤯🤯 you called it
And 3 years later… wow, the TV show lines up so well with the Lore.
Edit: with Vault-Tec doing the deed
Nice
This hits different after the show lol now knowing vault tec is evil
This vids are great
Yassssssss fallout 1 is king
New vegas close second
If you go to the railroad headquarters in Fallout 4 and talk to the assaultron she knows who fired the first shot
I don't think a majority of fallout players whom have played from the beginning title will consider anything outside of Fo3 and New Vegas canon
@@_Circus_Clapped_ I do not.
I have theory - Vault-tec was working with aliens, started the war to do their research on human race, for the aliens.
WTF Pulp Fiction was not out yet for anything to be related. Seriously do some research.
Pulp Fiction - 1994
Fallout - 1997
