Thanks for your efforts to prepare and deliver these beautiful meditations on our Lady sorrows. Today’s world does not want us to think of sorrows, of penitence, of prayer, but we need to in order to better understand God’s love . We need it to be able to rejoice by living His will , no matter what it “brings” to us. May God bless you.
How this novena helps me come so much closer to our Mother Mary . With the beautiful sound of your children in the background together with such authentic mam and dad feelings created on the delivery of this novena I'm blessed to have found your utube. May God bless in abundance your wonderful work . Thank you both soo much.
Thank you both for these meditations. You really make me understand the sorrows of Our Blessed Mother Mary more clearly. May Our Lady of sorrows bless us all and in all we are all going through.🙏🙏🙏
Very powerful meditation and so beautifully told. I lost my Mom when I was 19……I needed my Mom so much then as I need her today. Mary, Our Mother was my Mom in a very real way. My Mom have a very deep devotion to her through the Rosary & the Memorare. I am proud to use Mom’s Rosary for it is part of her and Our Mother Mary. Thank you dear Mother for being a Mother to me then and now. You both have brought this Our Lady of Sorrows Novena to us in a very deep and loving way. Janelle, thank you for allowing us to feel the emotions you feel. Most of us who meditate on this sorrow and/or the sorrowful mysteries feel Mary’s pain and anguish as cruel, cruel men inflict unbelievable atrocities on her beloved Son. It’s almost too unbearable to think about for we killed Our Savior, Our God, in a way only He would or could endure. No man would have been able to bear an hour much less 24 hours of the emotional and physical suffering inflicted on Jesus. Only He & His Mother could do this for an ungrateful, selfish, & sinful humanity. If anyone doubts the existence of Our God after reading, viewing or listening to the Passion of Christ, then they are fools.
🙏🏻💙Thank you for this beautiful video and you’re spiritual insight- deep gratitude from UK💙🙏🏻 🕊🌹🥀One cannot imagine the real horror and anguish Our Dearest Mother Mary endured seeing Our Lord like this, and I always pray for her to give me strength on my difficult journey at the moment, helping my addict husband, surrounded by chaos & pain on all levels. I know Our Dear Lord is also by my side guiding me to make the right decisions. Please bless my family and everyone here, blessings & love always🥀🌹🕊 x x
How hard that must have been, not being able to hold & comfort Him, to quench his thirst/ not being able to give him a drop of water. Thank you so much for these beautiful reflections.
#1: I’m very grateful that you realize why Jesus called Mary “Woman” to draw attention to the fact that Mary is the woman mentioned in Genesis 3:15. That verse has been mistranslated in so many Bibles and so many people are now misled, even Catholics! #2: My priest chose to do his sermon on Mary because her birthday was last week, the Holy Name of Mary and Our Lady of Sorrows feasts are coming up this week. He did a beautiful job (I wish I could recount it here) comparing the Ark of the Covenant of the Old Testament and Mary (the Ark of the New Covenant). Keep up the great work. Your ministry is important.
Mother Teresa experienced the dark night of the soul, feeling alone & abandoned for 50 years. But you would never know it by her life and her countenance. She suffered with joy for Jesus. ❤
So so , I want to say Beautiful, but hesitate, for fear it might be taken wrongly, but there just isn't another word that I know, to even try to share my deep deep amazement and GRATITUDE for what GOD the FATHER JESUS and MOTHER MARY did for us , wow. And thank yous, thank you , love and Prayers GOD BLESS. Numbers 6:24-26
Once again, Mary was without Jesus for three days. But this time she could do nothing but grieve and wait for His Resurrection. When Jesus the youth was lost, Mary could actively search for Him. Once Jesus died, Mary could only sit and pray and grieve. It's heart-breaking to think of the level of her sorrow.
Ken you amaze me. Your thoughts are so eye opening. I never thought about the Crucifixion that way. I would have thought about my son's life. All the moments of happiness and tragedy of tough times etc. That's what I think about when I remember my son. I'm slowly giving it all to God, to Jesus and Mary. I wish I could have been there when he died. I never thought of this sorrow of the Holy Mother. Thank you so much. God bless you🙏💙❤🙏
Mary's faith is incomprehensible to me. If I could see my Guardian angel or perhaps my faith would be stronger. I'm grateful for God's mercy what's the weather is so much more helpful perhaps if God interacted with us like in the Old Testament. Sometimes it's hard to believe in something but you cannot see, hear, or witness miracle no one them. So I guess that's what makes Faith so special! Multiple times god work miracles in her life not too mention she was the mother of God. This is a relationship that is incomprehensible and the fact she was born without original sin. She still at her free Will.
Hi Ken! Just thought I would thank you guys for these great meditations! Do you mind creating a playlist for just this series? I would love to share it with with my young adults group.
Every time I Meditate on the Cross of Jesus Crucified in my Sufferings Mary is beside me Saying I what you are going though l am with you Be not Afraid. 🙏🏻❤️💙📿🕊✝️
I remember the 1st time I heard that Jesus gave us His Mother in this passage. But it's always been a bit unclear. Ken, thank you for really giving a clear & profound explanation. Woman, behold your son & then ... behold your mother... wow!!! A WHOLE MOTHER!
These are so beautiful-and love how raw you each messaged us delivered. What stood out to me is her wanting to embrace her son- as parents we hold our children with a scraped knee or in sickness and not having that ability to comfort him in his last moments I know must have been so hard. Our Lady of Sorrows pray for us!
Thank you Ken & Janelle for day5 which really touched me. I’m following from Singapore 🇸🇬:)) I’m particularly drawn to Ken’s comment about the woman who didn’t wish to visit her dying mother in hospital because it was uncomfortable for her to see her sickly mother. The world can be so self-absorbed. How sad that she didn’t see how much her mother would have loved to see her
We have to always keep in mind that Mary was FULL of grace and her mind never failed! It could reduce Mary's grace to put her in the light of "If I were Mary." Don't do that again, please.
Only in God is my soul at rest. ❤

No, she knew he was meant to die for the redemption of our sins, and to rise again. I think Jesus would have discussed it with his beloved Mother.
Not at all Our Lady
