  • While driving through Pilanesberg Game Reserve in South Africa, we came across the biggest elephant we had ever seen... just walking down the road. We stopped our land rover and let him walk to us... See what happens!

      But for how long? It's a good thing they are in Africa for if they were in the US, gun nuts would have killed them off a long time ago!

    • @AnnaMarianne
      @AnnaMarianne 5 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      @@nightlightabcd In USA, they would be much better off, because USA has more wilderness, while the African human population is exploding. The biggest threat to nature is the expansion of land used by humans. I suspect many Westerners have this nature doctumentary created image of Africa as some pristine continent filled with wildlife, but alas, the reality is different. Another problem created by the African overpopulation is poaching. Killing an elephant is economically a very good idea for many poor rural people.

    • @danellymani205
      @danellymani205 5 ปีที่แล้ว +32

      @@AnnaMarianne arent pumas extinct in America? If you said canada I would say sure but africans have always lived in harmony with their wildlife. Americans do not. Y'all murder anything that doesnt fit with your society. And fyi the poaching is done because of the demand from westerners and Asians. Westerners are the only people who do trophy or game hunting like psychopaths.

    • @AnnaMarianne
      @AnnaMarianne 5 ปีที่แล้ว +16

      @@danellymani205 I'm not American. And pumas aren't extinct in America. In fact their territory is expanding. Just like the populations and territories of large carnivores are expanding in Europe. In Africa though they are growing smaller, because the human population is exploding and the humans are taking all the space for themselves, and hunting the animals for bushmeat. That's just how it is in reality, regardles of your ideology and racist hatred, and what you'd want to believe in.

      @@dirtyharry4649 True
      I loved the tension that it built up for the movie, but anyone who knows anything about ambush hunters (T-Rex almost certainly hunted that way much of the time) would see how being able to stalk in near silence would be essential.
      Also, the roar, while really well done and impressive, almost certainly sounded nothing like how T-Rex actually vocalized, which in real life would probably have been more of a very low pitch, low volume rumble.

      @xxCrimsonSpiritxx 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dirtyharry4649 my dude a general sized T-rex is about 4 times this elephant's total weight and unlike the elephant, it was bipedal, so the entirety of it's weight while walking is almost always on one foot, an elephant on the other hand, having four legs, making their legs move in an offsetting motor (to counter-weight) so the weight distribution makes it vastly quitter

    ❤👊🏻😁
    I mean...I would've loved to see this IRL myself too but the fact that all those kids got to see--in real life and in person--up close?? Nothing more perfect!!😁❤👊🏻
    That's the coolest! Thanks to the adults chaperoning these future adults!!
    Pretty cool

    That may have been the riskiest moment you will ever experience. For example, if you bet your entire net worth on a risky stock, that would have been way less risky. What if one of you was hurt? Elephants and all wild animals can be extremely unpredictable. A great deal of skill and experience is needed to mitigate the risk of standing off such a magnificent bull. Thank God every day!

      Just making an educated guess here, but he looks probably middle aged, meaning around 40-50 years old.
      As long as he stays healthy and no poaching bastard gets to him, he will probably get up to at least 75.

    It's amazing to see how the elephant is so reserved with all that strength. Yet with one kick he could send those tourists to emergency.

    Dude how does one risk his children's lives while watching a massive wild elephant walk past your car. Anything could go wrong.. You were irresponsible to take the chance but fortunately you and your children survived it! You lucked out.

    I want to know how this guy kept 8 kids in the car absolutely quiet as Jumbo walked within 3 feet of them. That is a very good trick. That elephant was huge. 🦣🦣🦣🦣
