I feel blessed that in the mid 60"s our 8th grade class got bussed up to Portland and fell in love with classical music. That music teacher also played Peter and the Wolf for us and taught us about the different voices of the animals. Thank you Mrs Scharf where ever you are.

You said some kids are bored in school. Great composer Bedřich Smetana was also bad student, he wanted to quit high school, gymnasium. But his father and his cousin made sure he finished the school. Father forced him to become clerk. But then he studied music. Kids should do what they want, if its their hobby.

Dvořák loved Beethoven as an example. He liked other composers, Liszt, Brahms, Wagner Schubert. Even Bedřich Smetana said about him, he is composing in style of Beethoven. Bedřich Smetana also wanted to be as good as Beethoven in composing and technically as good as Liszt. It seems Beethoven was example for all musicians.
