As the husband of a sales associate for the final 12 years of this store, it's good to have a video to remember its layout. It's a shame to see the store so empty. It would be wonderful to see a video of the store fully stocked around the holidays filled with customers. The same can be said for all the retail stores which so much a part of our lives which are now gone (Southwyck, Woodville Mall, North Towne). If I only had the foresight to do walk-through videos of all those locations...
a bank is currently being built in the parking lot of this store. But I loved coming here on occasion, it was a fun store to browse, I have some videos that used to be on TH-cam of this location, I will probably upload them to Dtube at some point and I'll try to link them here. Good times at this store.
2020 Update: This elderbeerman is going to be demolished and a TJ maxx is going to be built where elderbeerman was. they are also going to build a restaurant.
Great job. I'm glad you did this. Keep making more. I did the southwyck video back in 1990. People loved it. You never know what's going to come and go.
I used to work at this Elder Beer man store in the '80s

I remember when it was LaSalle's, had Lion Store at Westgate and of course Sear's, all great stores, nothing stays the same I guess.
