Fists Only Challenge - Dark Souls Remastered

- Today we enter chapter 2 in the FISTS WEAPONS ONLY challenge by taking on the game that started it all, Dark Souls Remastered. In this run, well will ONLY be using our bare hands and the CAESTUS, we will not be using any major glitches and also, for a little bit more challenge, will not be using any spell buffs like POWER WITHIN or MAGIC WEAPON but will allow ourselves consumable buffs like PINE RESINs.

The one thing that I hope devs start implementing in these type of games. Is: If they have a weapon upgrades and they are going to have an npc like Andrei sell an infinite amount of upgrade materials, Just reduce the number of weapon levels needed to upgrade before the next big upgrade change.
*(Because, If the npc sell an infinite amount of upgrade titanite shards. Which means you can easily just farm enemies for souls and buy the shards for the next 5 levels.....They might as well just make that upgrade material more expensive and reduce it from 5 upgrade levels to just 1 big upgrade).*
Because, Basically everyone immediately upgrades thir primary weapon all 5 levels after getting the new embers. So just make it simpler by making it 1 level instead of 5.
You forget! People like big numbers. A +1 weapon is intrinsically less impressive, and generates less tasty serotonin, than making a +5 weapon. These kinds of choices are important in all kinds of design.

I did this recently but used the claw
Legit didn't even feel like a challenge run most of the time. The claw with 40 dex still did respectable damage and the attack speed is really quick. Can also bleed a lot of the bosses
Ngl the hardest boss of the run was literally the asylum demon because bare fist
The hardest for me was Kalameet. But this was the first time I've ever actually caught him. I agree though, mostly didn'tfeel like a challenge run. It was actually really fun.

Sweeet. I remember doing a Dark Hand run on DS3 once...MUCH more damage, but the reach is infuriating! Struggling with the T-Rex arms was the real enemy x'D
DS3 was a really fun fist weapons challenge but yes, that t-rex style reach definitely got a bit frustrating haha 😄

I considered dark hand too. I only decided not to because I found Dark Hand was was op when I did the fists weapons only run for DS3. Thank you for checking out the channel!

I limited myself to the Caestus for a bit more challenge. In my DS3 challenge video I found that the Demon's fist and the dark hand ended up feeling just a bit op. Though I would like to try out the Dragon Bone fist!

It would've been cool if you used the dragon form fists, they deal 400 damage a hit when using your bare hands which is pretty solid for fists weapons

Not trying to be a hater, but using the shield kind of makes this challenge null and void. I personally don't mind at all, but you could have used another cestus in your left hand

Caestus is the only weapon I can use in the run. Instead of using different fist weapons, I only used the one type.

@@coombaplays Awesome. I don't know if you knew but behind the Gwendolyn boss fight is a room is another room that contains the sunlight blade miracle. It does the same thing as the gold pine resin but is more powerful (although it does require a fairly high level of faith, and you only get 1 cast)
