    Back when I was a young guy (about 12 or so I believe. I'm 18 now) I earned my yellow belt. Sadly though, I moved out of the place I lived at the time with my family, and I hardly practiced ever since. Even then, I still remembered some of the basics, such as some of the kicks and other strikes, like with the elbow for example, or just the forward kick. As an 18 year old now, lately, I have felt a little empty, per se? So, I now thought i'd try getting back into Taekwondo; after this whole corona blows over finally. Until then, i'm going to be following your videos for inspiration. Wish me luck!

    Fabulous. I’ve restarted my Taekwondo training after stopping for over 3 years and regretting it. I’m now in my 40’s, my flexibility has virtually gone and I am working towards my black tag. These videos are really helping and I’m seeing an improvement almost every day.

    I'm subscribing. This is probably the best video on how to kick better you really know what you're talking about. These techniques are perfect for not only stretching out the muscles but they also get the legs used to making the actual kicking patterns. For the using the figure 8 was probably the most useful. I can do jumping spinning back kicks and everything now but when I first started that was so helpful for me. Once you get used to it, it almost becomes effortless. Sometimes I can do kicks without even trying. Awesome job on this video. Take care and stay safe.

    I restarted Taekwondo after over 44 years, I’m 64 and did it when I was 20, and yes I’m stiff now and can’t hardly do any pushups. I can do 5 if I push it. In my 20ties I could easily do 30. I’m also much heavier now. So it goes. But I’m still loving it and now I’ll get stretched out and more flexible and slimming down is a good idea. I’ve got an excess of 35 Lbs on me now. 😮 It will come off with less food and time away from snacking and my well stocked stores of snacks, nuts, protein bars etc. I’ve got too many goodies at home. 🥴

    Hello there. Thank you for the week-long tutorial. I got my 1st Dan in 2011 but I've found it hard to be consistent with training, and my flexibility isn't what it used to be. This is the most in-depth and easy-to-follow instructional video I've seen. So, kudos to you Master Samery, and more students for you in the future.

    I am also a 4th Dan, but in ITF. I’m about as flexible as you, but I think I lack the strength to actually kick to vertical like you do. Enjoying the exercises so far, thankyou.

    I remember I started since 5, now I’m 18, now an 8th degree black belt. It’s pretty hard not gonna lie! It’s fun watching people do white, yellow, blue and red belts.

    These drills helped me alot for Muay Thai
    I always had trouble kicking higher than the shoulder
    This series did wonders for me :)

    After several views of your videos yesterday I decided to get a try to your 5-7 days routine workout.
    Damn....I got my a** destroyed and I fear tomorrow I'll not be able to move. Hope this is the right pain I should feel because so far my lack of flexibility is very embarassing...

      I'm really late to reply lol but I hope you're okay. I don't think that is the right pain actually... You should work on flexibility first ig as I didn't get that pain(maybe cause I've been doing taekwondo for over an year).

    When I was 20 I did TKD and stopped by many years; actually, at my early 50's I started again but I lost flexibility and balance. Do you think I must to do those exercises every day to gain flexibility again? I'm 5'0 height.
