  • I filmed this quite a few months ago when I got the new iPhone 14pro.
I was curious to see the cinematic mode upgrades and whether it was feasible for a cyclist to film their rides with it.
Battery went from 100 to 40% over about a 4 hour ride
    Space used: much
Would I use it for every shot, no. Some of shots came out ok I thought.

This is great, thanks for sharing! Hard to believe it's done on an iPhone tbh, things have come a long way. I'm looking to start vlogging my rides around the city and figure I may as well use what I have instead of buying a whole new rig. Any tips as far editing software etc, would love to get some sweet color graded footage the likes of which you have here. Cheers

I use Final Cut Pro x. But you could easily achieve similar on iMovie. My main tip would be managing the iPhone exposure levels. iPhone will always prioritise your face being very bright and often completely blows out the sky to try and make your face light. It will often also change exposures mid shot which makes the footage very obviously iPhone. I always long press on the screen to lock the exposure when my face and the sky is in the same shot
For me colour grading is a distant 2nd as the exposure is always my number one
