    Your video was great! It solved a vexing hiss I had when I connected the ATEM mini. I ordered a shielded cable to try and solve the problem. A simple switch in the settings as you showed and no more hiss! Excellent. BTW, it appears you can use any of the output jacks on the Rode Caster to route sound to the ATEM Mini just in case you want to reserve your monitor output for an actual speaker. Thanks again for publishing this video. Great solution.

I've tried 3 separate browsers, my main question is the mains audio cable's to and from each device, from the rodecaster out, are those 1/4" TS connectors, and is the input on the Blackmagic a 3.5mm TS or a TRS tip? I can go in the next office and look but I just wanted to especially make sure that the tip for the input on the ATEM is a TS or a TRS? Thank you so much, great video , I have a huge set up in my companies office happening with 3 sony EV-10;s the roadmaster and the blackmagic mini pro ISO so I am sure I'll have more questions, Thanks

    Question: On the GOXLR there is a ‘Line Out’ on the back of the unit so I can hook up my Sound Blaster G6 to it. Reason I do this is because the Sound Blaster ‘Technology’ (Over all sound quality) is far better than what’s provided with the GOXLR.

    ok lol, I like yur video but a few remarks. First of all, 'monitor' in the audio world means something different then 'monitor' in the video world. Look it up :) Second: Usually it is good pratice to put the red labeled side of a converter cable in the left channel. This because sometimes the left channel is also the mono channel. This way the tip/ring/sleeve of the (mini)jack will have the right order connected. Third: after setting the atem software to 'line' also go to menu and "save start-up state". Otherwise your setting will switch back from line to mic after you power down your atem. Fourth: Please note that your audio cable is an unbalanced signal due to the converter cable. So even if your mixer has a balanced out, the connection will be unbalanced becasue the atem does not have a balanced mic input. This means you have to carefull not using too long cables (under 9 feet) and keep the cables away from equipment (mainly wall socket cables, cfs lights and wall socket trasnformers/adaptors) along the way. ps. Balancing is a technique invented to avoid distrupting radio signals in the air getting mixed with the audio signal traveling over longer cables.

    If my Atem Mini Pro is connected to my PC (USB) & my RodeCaster Pro is connected to my PC (USB), & I'm using OBS to create my scenes and transmit my stream to YT/Twitch, do I even need to route my sound output from RCP to AMP? Are you only doing this because you're streaming directly from your AMP rather than something like OBS? And if so, why do it this way? Thanks

      Yup, I stream directly to TH-cam from the ATEM Mini Pro’s ethernet port! #ATEMMiniPro

    Really helpful vid mate.I've a similar set up: Rodecaster Pro > Atem Mini Pro > into OBS but the audio output from the Rodecaster isn't being output from the 'monitor outputs' into the Atem Mini Pro - I can unplug this connection and still hear my voice i.e. the audio output from the Rodecaster is by-passing the Atem Mini Pro via the Rodecaster mini USB connection! Any thoughts on why this may be happening?

    • @carlturner544
      @carlturner544 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      To add that when the Rodecaster is connected to the Atem (and Mic 1 'on' checked) the Atem Software Control panel does show an audio input on the level meter, but no matter what I change the EQ using the Atem Software Control, no change in sound. Analog input set to 'line'.

      I use ATEM Mini Pro’s network connection to stream to TH-cam. It’s important to have the two monitor outputs (audio) running to the MIC1 or MIc2 on ATEM with “line mode” enabled/MIC1 also enabled within ATEM. Don’t forget to connect the Rodecaster Pro to the computer with USB cable and select RodeCaster Pro as speaker and mic within Skype, etc.

    The only thing that I cannot stand about newer production equipment is having to watch a little screen and do stuff through the keyboard on the computer. I just prefer a manual switcher. An audio mixer. And a stand alone recorder if you’re not only keeping it on recordable media.

    Hi....!
    I have problem with monitoring good quality audio at Zoom. Here are the equipments I’m using:
    Rodecaster Pro
    Blackmagic ATEM mini Pro
    Sony A7 Marc 3
    Feelworld LUZ7C mini monitor
    I connect my audio source Rodecaster ( mic and background music) to ATEM Audio input 1 and press ON bottom.
    I connect my Rodecaster to MacBook
    I connect my camera to ATEM cam1.
    I connect my 7” monitor to ATEM HDMI monitor output.
    I connect ATEM to my MacBook.
    In my MacBook audio setting I choose ATEM as input and ATEM as output.
    Same setting on zoom.
    I connect my headphones to mini monitor 3.5 mm out put.
    I can hear myself and the background music but not the participants. I’ve tried to activate quick time recording, too much eco, didn’t help. I tried HDMI audio extractor, didn’t help. I tried computer headphone output ( changed the setting I MacBook audio to computer) didn’t help.
    I don’t know what else I can do to make it work.
    I really, really appreciate if you could help me with that.
    Leo.

    Hii, If we connect atem mini pro directly to an external monitor without using any pc or laptop in between, can we fullfill all the mentioned below purposes-:
    1. Can we make a large external monitor into multiview splitter through atem mini pro? (Without using monitor or pc)
    2. Would it be allow to switch between different camera angles on large monitor and can we have preview functionality? (Without using monitor or pc)
    3. Can we record footages from all 4 cameras at the same time into ssd through atem mini pro or we need to do it one by one? (Without using monitor or pc)
    4. And can we record the audio if we connect the rodecaster pro to atem mini pro? No more handy rercorders or field recorders required like h6 or f6? (Without using monitor or pc). Kindly put a light on this Thanks
    Note - No live stream and podcast purpose eventhough want to make this setup if above mentioned purposes can be fulfilled.

    Very useful video although I prefer a different configuration when I record and it is entering the audio through a camera and reaching the Atem through SDI or HDMI since a delay is generated through the 3.5 input of the atem

    • @computerjantje
      @computerjantje 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes but since a newer firmware update of the atem, you can delay the mic inputs (see mic audio strips in atem software) to get in sync again. Also most camera audio inputs are of a rather poor quality. The Analog to digital (AD) converter and pre-amps are not of good quality to keep the camera price low.
