What if F1, F2, & F3 RACED TOGETHER LeMans Style?

- What if Formula 1 adopted LeMans style multi-class racing? Well some amateur Championships and off-season races like this do exactly that in the United States. This is a Formula Atlantic car, but there was a wide selection of other cars in the race all the way down to Beatle-powered Formula Vs in the mix! Would you like to see F1, F2 and F3 in the same race?

I would want to see a race with an f1 from 1980's, modern day and an original f1 car.
That would be very entertaining. Right… 😅
I mean, they could nerf the modern car a lot and the 1980’s car a bit by letting them start sooner or later
@@SuperFormula1some older f1 cars can actually catch up to modern ones..
Yeah I want to see the 6 wheeler go up against a modern day f1 car with equal drivers (if that was possible)
@@clockwise6503the 2002 Ferraris defiantly
Would be a fun end season race with no points given
at least 1 pilot would die
Literally this weekend at qatar. Drivers fainting, puking, losing vision, during and after the race. Logan sargeant had to abandon the race because he couldn’t do it.
@@toby7366well it doesnt have to be in the desert
@@mrgandrnksrb I think I replied to the wrong comment lol just ignore that
It would be funny as spectator but teams would definitely use the time to work on the car and teams with more money would use it because it wouldn't be on cost cap
Ngl open wheel endurance racing would be a really cool experiment
It might be fun until at least half of the engines fail 😂
6 hours in and every car on the track breaks down 😂😂
@iExoticChaosYT 6 hours is very generous. We still have some cars breakdown in the first hour of the race. Heck Sainz couldn't even start the race this weekend because it failed even before that 🤣
@@MegaIronicaYou know that a F1 engine has to last about 8 race weekends right?
@@elonmusk9697 yeah but they’re not racing constantly for those 8 weekends lol. Running then nonstop for hours would put a massive strain on those engines.
Yea they already do. Three classes are Red Bull, everyone else, and Alpha Tauri
The alpha tauri disrespect is crazy
The disrespect 😂😂
🤣🤣🤣
F1 also has Pro (Albon, Alonso, Bottas, Gasly, Hamilton, Hulkenberg, Leclerc, Magnussen, Norris, Ocon, Perez, Piastri, Ricciardo, Russell, Sainz, Sargeant, Tsunoda, Verstappen, Zhou) and Am (Stroll) driver classes.
@@mashy0001sargeant aint pro lol.
So that's what it looks like from Verstappen's perspective
😆 funny
If it happened, it would literally be verstappen seeing how many times he could lap the other racers lmao
Imagine you are Sitting in a go kart and a Formula 1 car flys by you going 280 kp/h in the corner
Max verstapen dododo
I do that in PC2 😂😅
I’d 💩 myself
Unrealistic to go around any proper corner at 280.
If the kart is a super kart, then in lots of circuits the cornering speed is not much different
But the braking and acceleration are worlds apart.
@@HTOP1982 🤓👆
F1 Le Mans style is the kind of racing we need
The FIA already does enough BS rules without any more inspiration to be annoyng, leave it single class and let everyone chill XD
@@Ferrari255GTO it's the same FIA that runs WEC.
Carts going 200+km/h
Thats crazy man
Apart from the fastest person on the track - you were the fastest person on the track.
I really want to have a go in on of those 130mph go karts
I would love to see that! An endurance race with the three types of cars. Would also be a great way of displaying the young driver's talent
Maybe as a all star race with all the f1 f2 f3 drivers at the end of the season
Add f4 and its even better
@@SamueleTriolone44 FE gen3 ?
@@xxzenonionnex7658 i dont think they would make sense as Formula E just is completley different from the others
As someone who absolutely enjoys multiclass racing the answer is a big yes. Maybe as an exhibition race or something
It used to be like that along with Indycar.
The indy500 was a pet of the F1 calendar. I think it should be part of it again.
It would just be a 70 lap version of 24 hour of le mans
That would be insane seperate leaderboards special rules, paths and maybe ever a point system
This brings back memories - rich kid in the fast car complaining about all of the amateur racers who work their tail off for maybe an hour of track time per day on Saturday, and Sunday as well if they've got their national license.
It’s just that f1 is so clear
Yes, this format in Monaco please 😂
Monaco’s bad enough with just F1. It’d have to be a longer track.
I do this pretty often in Assetto corsa, and i gotta say that a multiclass formula race would be good
*More of this please!* This is a nice diversion from your regular content!🤩👌🏾
Average raceroom lobby’s:
A Le Mans style field in different types of racing would be interesting to watch
Sebring is a dream track to drive on. Incredible layout. Congratulations man!!
With the Mahaveers, Canemasases and Deleddas the feeder series has given us, I don’t think it would be safe 😂😅
This race looks like automobilista 2 in real life
Imagine an F1 car plowing into the rear end of an F3 car at a 150mph difference in speed
gotta love a trip around Sebring
I want to see MP4/4 VS F2004 VS W11… and maybe stick the RB19 in there for fun
Sebring is a bumpy nightmare that we actually dream about. Would love to see some of the fast SCCA P1 cars there with you
Multi-class racing is sweet. So yes. It would actually have some strategy and some points where lapped traffic plays part in position battles.
You need to be perfect, as open wheeled race cars are delicate af
Look at all the NPC cars
I'm a SCCA driver, and once a year we have a Enduro race at Sears Point Sonoma Ca. that has all classes. The biggest problem is closing speeds and people who don't hold their line when being passed. They see a faster car coming and they try to move over but the faster car is already committed it's a disaster waiting to happen. When they move over suddenly the passing driver is already committed, and a collision is guaranteed! Founder and former owner of Supercuts, Frank Emmett, had his GT1 Corvette there and his co-driver was at the wheel. He came up on me like jet stink and I waved him around the outside. He disappeared around the kink on the front Street and when I got there there was fiberglass and flames everywhere a slower driver had heard him coming and moved over just as I explained. SLOWER CARS HOLD YOUR RACING LINE❗
This already happened in the past, in long tracks like the Nurburgring they let some F2 cars take part to the race to don't bore spectators. If im not wrong Bruce McLaren managed to get p5 overall in a F2
Love Sebring! Went there for WEC/IMSA this year
In some ways this concept exists with BOSS GP which was a privateer only series (i.e. rich people) who'd bring whatever open wheeler they had and you'd often see older F1s battling with GP2s and other open wheelers
MP4-4, the Tyrell 6 wheeler, F2004, Brawn GPs car for fun, and 2021 RB would be interesting
I love sebring
Having diferent category cars in the same track at the same time is soo much dangerous
so yeah would be fun
Would love to see the championship winning f1 cars from the last few years in one race or even in a few competing against each other
That would be fun to watch, but crazy deadly.
Nikita mazepin in 2020 with this format😈🤫
They should make a fun race no points at the end of the year. It doesn’t have to be this format even! It can just be something fun to watch
Driving open wheel at Sebring seems insane. So many bumps
SCCA?!?! Im with that club! I do street car track days. Saw your cars getting unloaded immediately after one of our events a few months back. Cool stuff.
The hometown racetrack!!! I had no idea they did events like this.
Thats whats happening in f1 right now.
Yeah with Verstappen😂😂😂
Love seeing you mention SCCA, which is who I belong to!
Last but definitely least damn that seemed personal
I think they should do a year end deal where they take the top five from each series and have a race on a specific track where all there times are reasonably within safe limits of one another 🤷🏿♂️
Cool race
My car has 280 horsepower and sport tires. It also has an extra 1000 pounds of weight. Though petite by hatchback standards, it's a big heckin chonker for a race car. It won't accelerate out of corners anywhere near as well, but on a sufficiently long straight it can overtake the open wheelers.
Reminds me of when IndyCars and F1 cars raced each other at Monza.
That would be cool to see
Every one gansta till the F1 2006 pulls up
That feel like some kind of challenge in Gran Turismo 😂
Yes
love Sebring. my grandpa used to race with SCCA at Sebring
I would love to watch that type of race but it'd be a very expensive event
Would be funny to see a no poins race at a wide and large circuit like Spa taking the 20 pilots of F1 the F2 Top 10 and the F3 Top 10, to have a grid of 40, and make a SC Zones like Le mans to keep the delta of the cars controlled if it is necesary, and maybe some more details to avoid any kind of mortal risk to any driver 🤠
It would be insanely cool to have F1, F2 & F3 on the same track for an exhibition race to test it out. I think the F1 drivers would absolutely hate it though.
pov: you created a custom race in Assetto Corsa:
Oh, they're in Sebring too, that's nice
I would love to see them race
Sebring is pretty awesome! Got the chance to do a couple parade laps
Beautiful cars
It would be pretty wild to see how an fsae car would do here
He said he was slow, and honestly I've never seen any f1 or other race cars yet.
But its proof that if the camera recording is runnibg fast, then in person that thing is *insanely fast* even in tight turns
Too much chaos would happen
The tracks would need to be huge
You could probably do a race with F2 and F3 cars in one race. But I’m not sure what else you could use beside that
We need the f1 f2 and f3 in one race
Different lap counts to finish for every category that’s on the track at the same time, maybe. Unnecessarily dangerous though.
‘You are what you eat.’
-Master Oogway
I feel like it could work if each class was racing its own class only and the other slower classes gain points by how long it takes them to be lapped, or if you did like round track with all the slower cars stacked from slowest to fastest making the faster carz have to drive more technically
Do you race professionally/semi-professionally or is driving a hobby?
Daddy pays for him to race “professionally”
@@jackdoesf1that's not true, he retired after being unable to secure any more sponsors.
@scottlefaux Didn't know that thanks
@@nivozen unfortunately, very true
Do it in monaco and we will have a literal parade
Monaco would be *HELL*
It would be funny to see F1 drivers to switch with f3 Drivers and f2 kept the same and then we'll see the pace difference between the cars and drivers and it will be fun to see who wins
No. Formula Fords are driven primarily by drivers that are either new to auto racing, or at least to open seater/formula cars. Not only do the junior formulae chassis often lack wings, the floor design may be different from the larger cars. (Approach to cornering would be diffferent.)
Think modern f1 and f2 could race together depending on circuit, but I think throwing f3 into the mix may be a bit chaotic
It would be interesting for maybe 2 to 3 laps. Unless they use one of the crazy European tracks with a ton of turns.
1967 German grand prix had f1 and European f2, so it's been done before
What if they ran different length of track with a common section with the finish line.
Yes they should
It would be cool if they do like a 300laps race where you have 4 different cars per team and only two drivers and can do 75laps per car. The team decides the order of the cars racing
I guess someone could always set up a race (or something close to your format) for it on iRacing to see what happens. Maybe like the L79 low end and the F1 Merc on the high end.
Monaco would be a war 😂😂
Thats already what its like in f1
I’d actually would like to see a race with both f1 and HyperCard Le man style
An interesting Event could be a 3 man Team consisting of a Formular 1, 2 and 3 Car. And you can decide how to start and which Car Drives when, only one swap per Car. So once swapped its Out of competition and a Limit for how many rounds a single Car can be used. Like a 90 lap course with 30 rounds per car
F1 basically do this as is there are 3 teams in the top class 3 in 2nd and then the 5 in the last class. Then lance stroll
brother can't help but yap about how good he is
he js said he had a better car bruh😭😭
The moment a regular car hits the f1 cars the f1 cars wheels will explode like legos lol
Imagine a go cart forcing lead and winning by no pass chance
For a one off event but we all know what will happen
So dangerous, but cool
Basically already happening with how slow some of the f1 backmarker teams are.
Bro I’ve been watching loads of your videos and it’s insane how quickly you’ve progressed. I was wondering if you could make a video with suggestions on how to follow a similar path in the UK seen as you are kind of familiar with our tracks etc. Cheers for all the tips tho, went for my first time to TeamSport Nottingham last week, first session 39.5s (+5.2s) second session 35.8s (+2.1s), not too bad right?
Slight alteration, what if the race had F1, F1 Academy and the free practice drivers all participating in slightly different cars so each level can see what they could be up against in the future. That way we could see Lia Block and Pato O’Ward on the F1 grid sooner without replacing either of the current drivers from Williams and McLaren.
