- KL Majdanek jest to drugi pod względem wielkości, zaraz po Auschwitz • Auschwitz, a place onc... największy obóz koncentracyjny w Polsce. Zwiedzając to miejsce, możemy odczuć grozę tego co się tam wydarzyło. Pozostawione buty, prochy, baraki dają do myślenia i zastanowienia się nad tym jak kruche jest życie każdego z nas. Wiele z więźniów tego obozu zginęło z wycieńczenia i zmęczenia pracą, inni zostawali rostrzeliwani przy dołach egzekucyjnych.
Tego nie da się opisać, to trzeba zobaczyć aby zrozumieć ogrom tej tragedii. Zapraszam do krótkiego przedstawienia małej cząstki tego miejsca.

I will never get to see this place in real life, so I thank you for the images. Even removed as I am with the internet, I have a cold deep fury thinking what must have happened to these people. Never Again!

I’m British, this is the only concentration camp I’ve been to.
I worked in Ukraine and needed to go to Lublin. I crossed the border from the beautiful city of Lvov, past the extermination camp of Balzac to Lublin, which, is also a beautiful city. Then there is the camp of Majdanek - it is a horror.
Of course you are right unfortunately it takes an especially banal mind to dehumanise our brothers and sisters.

It is so incredibly sickening to watch our own government, the Democrats, enabling and encouraging the BLM to do what they have done and still do in some places. Pelosi actually said "I support BLM and I'm surprised that more people haven't gone to the streets!" The Democrat Party supplies all the motivation that the hate group needs! Schools are now teaching the motives and the hate of BLM. In Nazi Germany the Schools taught the beliefs of the Nazis as you know. It was mandatory to teach the children the lies and the filth about the Jews to create a hostile population that's against them. This is what's happening today. The curriculum in cities like NYC, Portland, Seattle, etc are teaching things about white people. They're teaching that white people are racist. That racism is built into our DNA. Teachers are now bad mouthing Conservatives and Republicans and Trump supporters viscously. Students from middle school to University fail their class if it becomes known that they are Trump supporters. My friend, Laura, had to go to her sons High School and talk to his principal about the way his teacher has been treating him in class. He recorded his teacher! All the principal.... all he did was reprimand Laura and Tom for Tom recording the teacher. The class ended up wearing red MAGA hats to class one morning on a day they were going on a class trip. I thought that was great. So she'll have to fail and mistreat the entire class now because they all showed up wearing MAGA hats. Not all teachers are doing this of course. However there are school districts that are doing this. Entire school districts in California, Oregon, NYC, Washington State... it's terrifying and this is how genocides begin. This is how the sicko government gets the entire country to go along with them. They convince the people that they are the victims because of a certain type of people in the population has been oppressing them. It's so unbelievably dangerous that our Government is allowing this, enabling this and encouraging this. BLM is nothing but a bunch of racists.. so many people are uninformed. Sooooo many uninformed morons.They really are "SHEEP!" It's terrifying.

I'm watching a documentary on TH-cam right now called "Ruby Ridge / American Experience / PBS!" It's a great documentary. If this occurred today the Feds would have killed the entire family. Great documentary about another out of many suffering places created by our neighbors (Germany) during 2WW , where many Poles , Jews and others unwonted European people suffered horrible death and disrespect . It is our duty to remember what ever happened once it may repeat ....We will never forget may they all Rest In Peace . God protect Poland 🇵🇱 ❤️🙏🏻🕯you will always be in my prayers

Not even comparable to what happened here and the 5 other extermination camps, not to mention Katyn, Aradour-sur-Glane, Lidice and all of the other places massacres occurred.
Pół wieku temu - poraz pierwszy oglądałem Majdanek. Byłem też w Stuthofie. Wrażenia - wiadomo! Obrazy straszliwej gehenny, jaką przeszli więźniowie tych obozów zacierały się jednak w pamięci w miarę upływu czasu, zaś teraz mam je prawie na codzień, z racji najbiższej mi osoby, która od kilkunastu lat tam pracuje. No cóż. Praca, jak każda praca, ale jednak.....nie do końca tak jest.
Never heard of this concentration camp during WW2 .their death was not in vain as Israel was born. It tied down tens of thousands of German soldiers on guard duty. And for other nationalities is unfortunately a collateral damage. May their soul rest in peace.
The blue stains on the ceilings and walls of some of the windowless rooms are crystals of cyanide that precipitated out of the gas that was used for killing. You can get a sense of the volume of death that was inflicted by looking at the size of those rooms, or chambers (Kammern, auf Deutche).
If you look at the ceiling in one room, there is no ceiling hole. The Majdanek state museum no longer considers this a zyklon gas chamber. the other room has a window and doors that open inward. How do you get the bodies out of the way if the doors open inward. You should look a bit closer next time

It was both a Concentration Camp (KL = Konzentrationslager), and an Extermination/Death Camp (Vernichtungslager) ....
A massive place. I did not think it was that big. Awe-inspiring! Highly organised and constructed. Impressive.

byłam tam i później niemogłam spać i przez miesiąc około miesiąca myślałam o tym co by było gdyby teraz wybuchła wojna.
Moj wujek tam byl przez prawie 5 lat przezyl horror i nieopisany glod jadl brukiew i liscie z kapusty.Przezyl bo byl mlody i mial silna wole zycia.Mam tylko nadzieje ze ci co to pieklo niewinnym ludziom zgotowali sa juz w piekle na cala wiecznosc.

trochę nie dziwi te 5 lat , bo obóz istniał niecałe 3 lata ,w lipcu 41 himmler zlecił budowę , a od października 1941 obóz przyjmował więźniów , a w sierrpniu 1944 na majdanku funkcjonował obóz nkwd , ,,wyzwodzicieli ,, jak to jeden w komentarzu napisał

Największym błędem, względem Majdanka, jest to, iż TH-cam nie pozwala na odtworzenie niektórych filmów dokumentalnych. Środowiska wnuków i prawnuków się na to nie zgadzają...

Wydaje mi się że moim obowiązkiem jako Polaka jest zobaczyć na własne oczy miejsce w którym działy się straszne rzeczy. Problem w tym że nie mam odwagi, oglądając nawet ten film wymiękam. Lecą mi łzy. W Stuthofie zginął brat mojego dziadka, mam do przejechania niecałe 60km. Wybieram się już parę lat i nie mogę zebrać się na odwagę, boję się że nie dam rady. Dlaczego człowiek człowiekowi wilkiem?
Moja s.p mama opowiadała mi że była na Majdanku zaraz po wyzwoleniu .widoki były nie do opisania.pelno zwłok których niemieckie zbiry nie zdążyły spalić w krematorium oraz była świadkiem wyroku śmierci po przez powieszenie ostatniego komendanta obozu.obecnie to połowę tego nie ma co moja mama widziała.Majdanek był zlokalizowany w okolicy wsi Dziesiąta.obecnie to jedna z dzielnic miasta Lublina.a ulica przy której znajduje się Majdanek to Droga Męczenników Majdanka.po drodze mija się dzielnice Bronowice.jak pamiętam bo już w Lublinie nie mieszkam to najwięcej wycieczek bylo młodzieży z Izraela.nie będę mówił że po ich wizycie to był syf.mogila.
