Legend mate!! Had trouble connecting a new Xbox custom controller to the Xbox . The USB C wire would give the controller power but not allow it to connect. Stressing out because I spent £80 on it. This worked.
I dont know if this will help everyone but figured I'll leave this here is how I fixed mine very simple! My xbox1s would not even blink when pushing the sinc/bind button... so I watched tons of videos and tried everything I could including turning the Xbox off.. nothing worked! I pull the power cord out of the xbox for about 5 minutes and plugged it back up and BOOM.. my sinc button on my white xbox 1s started working again perfectly :)) hope this helps as it was so simple for me.

Excellent video and really appreciate the fact your making these, Saved me at least 50$ cause i would have taken the xbox to a repair shop otherwise!
Also I watched this and as I went to disassemble my Xbox I restarted it after the hard reset and my controller connected and I went into the settings menu to controllers and headsets and my controller needed an update also recommend all of this before you destroy your Xbox not everyone can put things back together as easily as others
@@chimiganja4209 eventually the button just stopped working for me altogether. Ended up buying a series s on offer up for cheap. It’s worth it if you can get it for under $200
@@chimiganja4209I also just removed the plastic piece of the sync button completely so I could just use something to press it at any time without having to take the black cover off every time I needed to use it.
The issue here is a bad design, dust/crud gets under the switch causing no contact take off bottom as shown get some iso propyl alcohol 100% douse the switch good an scrub it with a toothbrush 9/10 times this will cure it ...... 😎
