Well, that sucks that those mountains were not accessible. Must be nice to be rich enough to own your own mountain! So many mountains, yet so many that you cannot "trespass" on. Ugh! Oh well, we have so many trailheads and great trails out here, that we could never hike them all. Good old Horsetooth! Always accessible........so great way to make a day of it with plan D. 😊

Bummer on the first 4 tries but I don't care what anyone says, that Horsetooth area below the rock is great. I gotta hit some more of those loops sometime! 😀🤙🏻💪🏻 Hope all is good with you!✌🏻

Nice HIKES! at least the weather was nice! It sure does look dry out there though.

I philosophically struggle with these types of situations. On the one hand, I totally respect private property rights, even if near/within public lands. However, if there is a situation where access to a portion of public land is basically undoable on foot (like parts of Young's Gulch from the south--I've tried off Rist Canyon Rd and found the same as you here), then some sort of foot access easement on the road only should be allowed, if you ask me.

@@TheBrooklynHiker Oh yes! Greyrock is a Fort Collins classic along with Horsetooth Rock and Arthur's Rock. I've got a few videos on Greyrock.

@allenfritschel1859 I think its that Buckhorn Camp that owns it all. Not sure though.
