If you want to know about an election that was ACTUALLY stolen, 2000 is it. As if his brother being the literal governor of Florida wasnt corrupt enough, or the Florida Secretary of State Katherine Harris (the person literally in charge of running their elections)!being his Florida campaign chairwoman wasn’t corrupt enough, the Supreme Court disqualifying tens of thousands of votes that they KNEW damn well were “Democratic leaning” votes- and they didn’t want the votes counted because they know if all legal votes were counted properly in 2000, Gore wins.

So the Rep establishment reluctantly decided to run George despite the fact that they knew Jeb was the smarter and more qualified candidate. George actually was planning on going back to baseball and hoping to become MLB commissioner.
